I'll post update content and anything that I think is cool and that will hopefully keep you guys excited.
First up
Four legendary dragon enemies, coming to 1.5.
These guys are early to mid game enemies. Linked to a series of side quests, resulting in some awesome loot!

Terra Update 1.5 - The Drowned King *Important update information inside*
Hey everyone,
First off, Happy new year! I hope you all had an awesome Christmas time and are enjoying the new year so far.
What's in Terra 1.5
The 1.5 update will contain the following:
Bug fixes galore - The blasted battle crash. Most of you know as G_Battle_System_Area - Invalid integer.
Battle system update - More balanced, timing improved.
Collision improvements - Slightly less clumsy when exploring the map.
Updated graphics - Some earlier game sprites for example - Lots of early game content was drawn ages ago. My pixel art has been improving over the dev time. So I switched out some bits and also commissioned some new improved item sprites.
More monsters and variations! - Hunting a larger variety of monsters is always cool right?
More story - Now you can progress further into the story.
More in game content - Towns, items, recruitable characters, battle pets and more.
More lore - Learn more about the world and history of Terra.
Also - Every recruitable character in Terra has back story that will be explored through side quests. A couple of these side quests can be sought out and completed in 1.5
Wait! So it's not finished?
No. It's not done. I have the content for the rest of the game implemented, but getting it all working and spending time to test it all, is long hard work. Don't get me wrong, I love doing it. But I'm going to be straight, I have a way to go.
When EXACTLY will 1.5 ACTUALLY go live?
Any day now. It could be tomorrow, or the day after, or even the day after. I absolutely have to get this smoothed out and fully, 100% playable with no game killing bugs. It's done, it's in testing and it's at the last hurdle before I roll it out on Steam.
Why is it called 'The Drowned King' - Did the game name change?
This is the name of the update, it's because there is a major side quest called 'The Drowned King' in game now. It's been my favourite side quest to write and design. No spoilers so don't ask ;)
From here on out until the final version is live on Steam, each update will be thoroughly packed with content. Each content update will have a new name.
About the delays with content updates
As most of you will know, Terra has had a long and bumpy development road. Loads of delays and content updates pushed way back. I know this sucks and I can't make any excuses for it. Instead of just making excuses, I'd like to share a bit of my story with you all.
At the start of the development for Terra, years ago. I was massively unprepared for the development journey ahead. Like a lot of devs, I had worked on small games, as a part of small teams, mostly small jobs. Going solo on this project was crazy, when I look back I feel anxious about how much work I set myself up for. The C# to RM engine switch, the story writing, the pixel art (Before I could afford to commission a couple of artists to help me) and the game design in general. I vastly underestimated my workload, all while trying to run Back To Basics Gaming (We publish indie games) which pay the bills.
Anything else?
The story and script for Terra 2 is mostly written. This was done a long time ago. And I can promise everyone that has supported Terra 1 will get a free Steam key. I'm happy to do this as a thank you for being patient and supportive. I appreciate it more than you guys know.
Thanks,
Dan.

Bite size updates OR full release?
Hey hey!
I have enough content bug free and playable to be able to push out a few bite size updates, with more content and story progression. OR I can follow my original plan and just wait until it's finished.
XMAS 2016 confirmed.
Can you guys and girls please let me know, which you'd prefer.
I just feel like if push out any more bite size updates, the story will unfold in a weaker way than it would if you played it all at once. Also, the fact that we may have to patch an update, will likely cause more game restarts.
What do you all think? Any feedback on this?
Battle system crash - I need your help!
Hey everyone,
I'm working towards getting 'Terra update 2.5 - The Hollow King' ready for release. And I've managed to cut down the battle crashes, but they're still happening about 25%, but still there.
So I need your help, I need to know which monsters were you fighting when it happened, did a specific monster attack or ally attack trigger it most often?
Please provide as much detail as you can.
This is crash code you should get:
script animationbattle line 759 range error occurred
Please let me know. Thanks,
Dan.

Patch notes
The ongoing issues I've been having with the Steam client and uploading game files is sadly, still a problem. Anything larger than a few megabytes is failing to upload. I will get this sorted and make the super important content patch ASAP.
Thank you for the continued patience and support everyone, you're all awesome!
Dan.
Super Duper Sale!
Terra will be reduced to a ridiculously low price for exactly 14 days.
This is due to the delayed development. I'd hoped to have more of the game playable and wanted to say thanks to current players and future players. If you feel like grabbing a few copies for friends, now's the time folks!
Also, sorry for the recent update delay, I had some issues with the Steam client, hopefully I have a work-around coming very soon. Another big update coming asap!

Scrolls
What are scrolls?
Scrolls are powerful and mysterious equippable items in Terra.
Each character has a starter scroll. Starter scrolls have one hidden power and it will remain the same on any character equipping it.
When you start to explore the game a bit more and find other scrolls, you'll learn that scrolls are cool because they don't only give stat boosts, which you can view in gear, but they also give random effects for different party members. You cannot view the random or hidden abilities, you'll need to test out different scroll set ups in battle to find out what they do.
So if you equip a scroll on Alexis, it wont necessarily give the same stat boost and abilities to Frann or Leon.
You can complete side quests and explore Terra to find more scrolls, some will also be obtained throughout the main story.
Here is an example of a starter scroll.
So, this one is Leon's starter scroll 'Nature's Writ'
You can see that it gives a fairly good stat boost. The description sometimes hints at the hidden power contained within the scroll, but again, the hidden power can vary, depending on who has it equipped. Remember this doesn't apply to starter scrolls, with starter scrolls, the hidden ability will remain the same for whoever has it equipped.
Can you guess what this scrolls hidden power is?
I'll let you in on a secret, only read if you don't mind spoilers.
Nature's Writ gives the person equipping it protection from Earth element attacks/magia. Actually, it reduces damage from Earth element attacks/magia by 95%
Terra beta 1.2.4 is here!
Terra Incognita beta 1.2.4 is finally here, I'm so sorry for the long wait guys, but I've really had to clean the game up and remove the bugs before I progress with building new in-game areas.
Thanks for your patience, you're awesome!
Please note, when updating to Terra beta 1.2.4 you will need to restart your game, old save files will crash your game. If you're having any problems doing this, to remove old save files, go to 'C:\Users\appdata\Roaming\Terra Incognita Beta 1.2' and delete the saves manually. Of course, you don't need to delete the old saves, just don't load them and play, as soon as you get into a battle the game will crash. You can also just overwrite old saves with new to avoid this issue.
Fixes
Fixed horrid invisible collision, sorry about that guys.
Fixed numerous grammatical errors and excessive use of ......
Cleaned up the code, this should increase frame rate and reduce any lag/screen tearing.
Fixed 'Integer floating' crash.

Update 1.2.4 incoming
Hey guys,
I know it's been a while since the last update. From now on the core code wont be changing, so the updates will introduce new areas, characters, quest and story progression on a weekly basis. Sometimes twice a week.
This update addresses a lot of the complaints from beta 1.2.3 build(first major release on Steam)
I've fixed bugs, upgraded UIs, balanced stats, enemies and removed as best I can all that horrid, invisible collision. Basically, it's twice the game now.
I'll delete this and post a proper announcement with all the update details very shortly, sorry for the wait. Cheers for being awesome!
