Terraformer Expedition to Mars is a first/third person 'Hard Science' based 3D simulation of survival, exploration and terraforming set on the planet Mars.

The simulation unfolds in three parts:

•The first phase is to survive on Mars using only a few canisters of oxygen, hydrogen and water and the shattered remains of your initial space craft. You will use these and the resources of the planet itself to create your own light, heat, water, air and food.

•The second phase is exploration of the planet itself: where are the other ships? Who shot you down in the first place? You will do so in a beautiful and realistically rendered 3D environment complete with dynamic interactions of light, heat, day/night cycles, and Martian geology and volcanology.

•Third and most challenging, you need to transform the lifeless, desolate and frozen wasteland into a new home for Mankind. You will do this from scratch, using constructed tools, machinery, and Earth born bacteria and plant life carefully nurtured and strategically placed. You will create a complete atmosphere, hydrosphere, and a complex biosphere - step by agonizing step - as you fight to stave off the cold, the hunger, and the loneliness of a world that will kill you without a thought, with no one to hear you scream.

<*> Save/load game edit box
- right/left/back space, etc. keys now work in the edit boxes
- Displays the time of the game save

- Save game, checks for and appends .save to user named filenames, so they'll correctly show up in the load game list.

<*> Containers
- Found and fixed issue with load game and potential container bug.
- Found and fixed issue with drag/drop and potential container bug.
- Found and fixed issue with consumption thread cycle and potential container bug.
- Container operations have additional error checking. errors will show up in 'log.txt'.

<*> Tool tips
- Ditched the use of WM_TIMER windows timer messages, as these are low priority, unreliable messages.
- I now use a hi-res timer for this, (the same timer I use for calc'ing FPS).
- Added a game option so the player can change the tooltip delay time, 0.1 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Refactored the tooltip formatting,
added time to next 'consume/produce' cycle
changed colors for on vs off
changed colors for valid operations
added which mouse button info to valid operations


<*> Electricity
- Producers now keep a list of electricity consumers and how much each is using
- This list is displayed in tooltip for electrical generation items
- Notes: Old save games will not display this list until one complete consumption cycle has completed

<*> Consume/produce cycle
- Fixed bug where in some cases a double consume was being performed

UPDATE 9/2/15
- Fixed "?" in PDA crafting dialog


- Fixed counts for iron core fingers
- This count is performed at height 64, this is roughly 32 below sea level.

- Changed core released check.
- This only checks against iron blocks that were created by the 'Iron core fingers' fractal.
- This checks for iron and molten iron blocks at this height
- If a block hasn't melted yet, it takes time, an additional check is performed against the melting point of iron,
- In previous versions this temperature check was MAX_TEMP,
- meaning the nuke that was used had to be really close to the middle of the finger,
- so melting the iron fingers should be easier.

- Fixed Electrolysis restarting after loss of power bug.

- Dialog and tool tip flickering in PDA
-The atmosphere pressure to temperature calculation has been changed.


- This used to be a simple linear interpolation,
- It is now curved.

You're marooned on Mars with no support, no other people, and no plan but to survive. How easy would that be in real life? And you have an entire planet to deal with, and explore. You have to change Mars itself into Earth using pretty much nothing as starting equipment. It's a long, long process and you have to really THINK about what you're doing the whole way. This game isn't for the average 6 year old IQ who just wants to blow stuff up. You have to build and maintain everything you need to live, keep it all topped up, hope you are able to grow enough food to survive, bust your butt to ensure you can get enough fuel to just keep from freezing, keep the air flowing, and keep every bit of lichen, or bacteria, or shrub alive in conditions harsher than anything Earth has to offer. Making Mars into Earth isn't easy, but man is it worth it.
