It's official! Update 1.1 for The Adventures of Elena Temple comes to Steam on May 28th. It feels better, shakes better and challenges better! And it'll sure be worth it to have a vibrations supporting controller nearby!
But enough from me, here's more from myself on what the new update includes:
Stats screen with various info about your playthrough, like the time played, number deaths, enemies killed etc. and also the best values for these fields over all your playthroughs
Medals for each field in the Stats screen, get them like a pro by finishing the game in less than 40 minutes, dying less than 20 times, shooting less than 100 bullets and more
Screen shakes for all, including on death, enemy kills, walls move or destroy and many more
Vibrations for controllers supporting this feature
Lots of improvements to the final rooms of the game
5 challenging new achievements to unlock
New music tracks for the secret rooms, final rooms and post game credits
A bunch of bug fixes, tweaks and even optimizations, not that those were really necessary
Save icon to indicate when the game is, uhm, saved..

Just a quick update to let you know that I'm working on an update with lots of goodies and it should be available in around a week, give or take a few days. If you see some new achievements in the list and you don't know how to unlock them, it's because you'll need update 1.1 first.
So get your vibrations supporting controllers ready as you wait for the new features, improvements and, of course, the mandatory bug fixes! More details coming soon!
The day of the refresh!
So as you probably already know, The Adventures of Elena Temple has been released. You can get it now, with a launch discount! Or better yet play the Demo first for free and, if you like it, upgrade to the full version.
I want to shout out a big thank you to everyone supporting me this far and to all the players who jumped in the game on release day! Everyone who played the game, please leave a review if you enjoyed it! And send me a private message if you had any issues so I can help you out!
I want to especially thank my wife, Elena (gasp, reveal!), for her putting up with me while I was working late into the night on The Adventures of Elena Temple. And my two friends, Elvis and Florin, who helped me out more than I could've hoped for.
So what have I been up to today? Well, most of the day I refreshed all sorts of pages, facebook, twitter, google etc. Tomorrow morning I should be able to see how the first day went for the game in terms of downloads, so that's going to be a sleepless night for me... To celebrate the launch, in the evening I opened up a bottle of wine from '86 I was gifted a few years ago - the release seemed like the best moment to pop the cork, what better fit for an 80s style game than an 80s wine? And yes, it was the best wine I've ever had! I'm not much of a drinker, so I always thought this old wines are better nonsense was just a myth - turns out I was wrong.
Long wine story short, thank you for following The Adventures of Elena Temple, have fun playing it and please let me know your thoughts on it!
