US Playtesting Now Available
Hello everyone! I have opened up testing for all US players right now. With the transition to using the Gameplay Ability System done for now, as well as moving to a third person view, now is the time to compare and contrast and gather feedback!
Please note that a lot of content is incomplete or missing due to said overhauls and some features may not work as they should. But rest assured that they will be fixed up and resolved over the coming weeks.
Hello World!
Hi there everyone!
I'm Eduardo Valencia, the main (sole?) developer of The Apollo Project. I want to thank you all for your support for the early stages of our release on Steam! This has been a long time coming in the 6 years I've been working in professional game development.
Let's run down a list of FAQs
What is The Apollo Project?
The Apollo Project is a stealth action FPS with platforming elements. Take the groundbreaking systems and game design of the Metal Gear Solid series, combine it with the otherworldly abilities of Deathloop and top it off with some Deus Ex and voila!
What should I expect at the current stage of development?
Right now, the game is moving out of it's pre-alpha stages. At it's core, I know what I want the game to be and how I want it to be played. I've established an initial version of the GDD along with the Story Bible. As more content becomes finalized and release ready, the Playtest group will be able to fiddle with it first and tell me what does and doesn't break before it becomes more broadly available. Once at least 10 Mission Mode levels are finished, we will move to Steam's Early Access.
Early Access will mean that while the art assets may not be finalized, you're seeing more and more of the final product. When the time comes, we recommend buying early to lock in the current price and gain access to the full game once it's available!
I'm interested! Tell me how I can help?
Thank you very much! You can start by registering for play-testing on the Store page. When you have access to it, check back here for a list of things I'm looking for. Please let me know what isn't working well or what, if anything, you would like to see in a future version of the game.
Seems a little bit too early for my liking, but how else can I help?
There is a lot of work to be done between now and my estimated release date (Early 2024), but it's with your help and support that I know I can make it the best it can be!
Sincerely, Eduardo Valencia, Founder of Infinity Starlight Studios
