UPDATE 1.21 - 10 All New Karma Questions Offer High Risk, High Rewards!
Hello card players,
In this update, I've added 10 all new karma questions bringing the total karma questions to an even 100 now, and many of these new ones in this update can potentially net you over $1,000 but with a high karma loss as well!
I've also changed the location of some of the wording on the screen to make it look neater, cleaner, and more centered than ever before.
Not much else in this update, but expect to see more changes and updates to The Best BJ as its three year anniversary on July 21st approaches.

UPDATE 1.20 - 21 All New Karma For Money Scenario Questions!
In this update, I've better centered the karma questions to fit on the green cloth background of the gambling table and also added 21 all new karma scenario questions to the game.
The old total of karma questions was 69, and this addition of 21 new ones brings the total to 90 so that hopefully you'll see the same karma scenarios less often. ..Remember that even if the same karma question comes up a second or third time in a play session, the dollar amounts you receive and the karma loss will likely vary due to random dice rolls behind the scenes handled in code to change things up a little.
I hope you are enjoying my 2021 July 21st launch date release of 'The Best BJ'.. I plan on getting to work soon on what should be a really fun new DLC that will change things up quite a lot and add a lot more risk and reward to this game as well. Notice of Price Increase..
Hello everyone,
I wanted to give anyone who might be interested in purchasing my Blackjack game here an opportunity to purchase it before the price increase I've submitted to Steam goes live.
The price increase is still because I believe firmly that 'The Best BJ' offers you the best single player Blackjack game available on Steam for under $20. The price will be going up slightly from $4.99 USD to $6.99 USD. This is still less than the cost of a cheap fast food meal at most locations and the average total playtime for this game is over 15 hours now!
I still believe that 'The Best BJ' offers a fantastic value for anyone who likes Blackjack and also my game offers a unique karma system that helps you get out of a negative or zero balance at the risk of getting 'Gods Wrath' should your karma dip too low.
I wanted to also state that when this game passes 1,000 sales here on Steam, I will develop a multiplayer sequel that will allow you to play online with your friends or with strangers on Steam against the dealer. if you enjoy this game, please remember to let your friends and family know all about it!

UPDATE 1.19 - Portion Bet Buttons Spaced Further Apart & Karma Explained Button!
In this update, I responded directly to the constructive criticism left on the review by Steam user "Da Gurls". I would like to sincerely thank this user for his criticism and his review even though it was a negative review because it has helped me improve my game for everyone!
- The portion bet buttons like "Bet All" and "Bet Half" have been spaced further apart to prevent accidentally hitting the wrong button. (They were only a few pixels apart before this update and are now 24 pixels apart)
- An "Explain Karma" button has been added to the right side of the screen that will open a window explaining how the karma system in 'The Best BJ' works as well as how God's Wrath works in the game as well. This window can be opened before each hand is played.
- I've also reworked the Highest Balances code that retrieves the top ten highest balances from Steam to display in the top right section of the game screen every hand. Hopefully, this re-work will provide a much more consistent display of the top ten balances live each hand. (I've noticed myself that about half the time, these top ten balances lately were not being displayed at all, so I think this update might resolve that, knock on wood..)
..That's all there is for this update. I hope that these changes will provide for a more enjoyable BJ experience for everyone who plays this game! =)

UPDATE 1.18 - Separate Save Files For Each Steam User On The Same PC!
Hello everyone!
This is the first game I've developed that saves your progress and I just discovered that it would use the same saved data no matter what Steam account you might be using on the same computer! UGH!
..That HAD to be fixed! So this update resolves that and now multiple Steam accounts can all have their own saved data on the same computer!
- But what about my old saved data? Has it been reset with this update? ...I hear you with that question!
...Never fear! This update will first create your new save file based on your Steam ID and then make sure it loads any old save data on your PC. If multiple people have saved their Best BJ game before this update, the game will load the old save data into every different Steam account that logs in after this update. Should that not be what you'd like (such as if the save file has a low balance and/or karma you don't want for example) you can simply follow these steps to delete the old save file before launching your game which will result in a brand new start for you with $100 and 99 karma.
Keep in mind BEFORE you go through this process, that you can do the exact same reset easier by simply resetting your data once your game is loaded by hitting the CONTROL and the F8 key once inside the game. The process below will also delete all of your game stats however, which is not reset by using the Control-F8 reset within the game.

PROCESS TO DELETE OLD SAVE DATA FOR THE BEST BJ (IF YOU DON'T WANT IT LOADED AS OF THIS UPDATE)
1) At the bottom left of your Windows desktop, click in the "Type here to search" bar, type in %appdata% and hit ENTER
2) This will likely bring up a ROAMING window under your AppData folder. We don't want the "Roaming" folder, so in the bar at the top, click on the word "AppData" as in you'll likely see something like this: MyPC > Windows(C:) > Users > YourPCName > AppData > Roaming *Click on the word AppData there*
3) Double Left Click on the LOCAL folder to open it
4) Scroll down to find "The_Best_BJ" folder and double left click it to open it
5) RIGHT Click on the "saved" file which should be 1 KB in size and click on DELETE from the list

Not a ton in this update, but you'll no longer need to search out the sav file to "cheat" to reset your game balance and karma if things get too dicey for you.
It now shows you at the bottom left of the game to simply hold CTRL and press the F8 key to do an in game reset which not delete all your statistics. You'll also earn Steam achievements for resetting your game!
Also you'll notice the the dealer signs her name at the bottom of the loading screen so you'll never forget her name!
That's about it, just wanted to let you know the little changes I've made in update 1.17.
