Hello everyone, it’s DO MY BEST team here. The Steam Next Fest opens its doors today, and we can’t be more excited to show you the newest demo of The Bookwalker!
Play a short piece of a story behind The Bookwalker – a thief with the ability to dive into book worlds to find and extract legendary artefacts for his customers. Explore one of the books about a mysterious alchemist who tried to create a Potion of Immortality. Discover the secrets of the medieval prison and find out the truth behind its origin.
You’ll also have a sneak peek of the other book set in a completely different environment. But we’ll leave this up to you to discover!

Experience the gameplay duality
Walk around and explore your apartment in the real world and then dive into the world of books as if they were dreams. Come back to reality anytime, and use the items you found to craft some helpful tools that you can later use once you’re back on the mission. You may also find something handy in your apartment building and take it with you on your journey. In a book, a crowbar may be just as effective against a lock as a key…
Solve puzzles on your way to discovering the truth
Some problems you encounter will make you think outside the box, and some will require you to travel outside of this world. Take your time and look around for useful materials. Don’t forget you can always wake up at your apartment at any time and seek a solution there. It’s up to you to decide how to tackle obstacles.
