Update 1.3.0 | Spanish translation and Brightness settings


  • You can now play the game in Spanish (Latin American)
  • You can now adjust brightness settings
  • You can also adjust brightness settings during gameplay by using the F5 and F6 keys.
  • Run music should stop after you respawn now
  • Missing pixel on the cursor's punch animation has been fixed
  • Fixed misaligned health bars for Hand Sight, Fingertaker and Stewart
  • Fixed some errors with the dialogue font
  • Fixed patch of grass clipping through bridge gate
  • Fixed rug clipping through Iron Punch's door
  • Removed the fullscreen button that appears on the top-right of the pause and menu screen
  • Added a Settings menu to the pause menu
  • You can now close the pause menu and the quest menu using the action button
  • You can now wishlist The Bunny Graveyard: Chapter 2 in the Chapter Select screen

I did promise I was going to fix the headphone sections but I'm going to be leaving those for later, for now I will primarily focus on finishing the upcoming Nintendo Switch port and continuing development of Chapter 2 cause I feel like those should be a high priority right now.

The final update approaches...

Hello! I wanted to apologize for the wait for 1.3.0, we were planning on releasing it this month but it's taking us a little bit longer than expected. The final update for Chapter 1 will be releasing sometime next month now, it will include localization support, as well as a Spanish version of the game and many other fixes.

I'm also aware of a big issue that has been affecting many players and it's related to the headphones sections. I realized that the engine we're using to make the game does not support audio device changes while in-game, that means you can't plug in your headphones while playing the game, you need to have them on before starting up the game or the audio will not play. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix this issue, so instead I will be completely reworking the headphones sections so they no longer require you to use your headphones.

Update 1.2.1 | Lots and lots of bug fixes!


  • Game now opens in fullscreen if you last played on fullscreen
  • Game window does not center when going back to the main menu anymore
  • Visual issues with the Stamina Bar have been fixed
  • Fixed an issue where the watering can appears for a split-second when failing the game with the shovel.
  • Fixed an issue where Skye's and Nelson's names did not show properly in some cutscenes.
  • Fixed an issue where the mouse click sound effect was played twice when clicking an app
  • Fixed an issue where if the player stood still while also holding the Run button, the Stamina bar would still remain visible
  • Fixed an issue where Stamina bar shows up on cutscenes
  • Fixed an issue where the chase music would play after respawn
  • Fixed an issue where after going back to the Labyrinth using CONTINUE, the game would spawn the player incorrectly if the player died.
  • Fixed an issue where the gate would keep breaking if you died to it while getting chased by Silvie


PS: I will be releasing one more update with some additional fixes, including fixing the audio queues in the headphones sections and adding translation support. After that, I will be taking a little break from updating Chapter 1 and instead focus myself in making Chapter 2!

Update 1.2.0 | PS4/PS5/Switch Controller Support and More!

IMPORTANT: If you have played the game before version 1.2.0, you may have to rebind your controllers again in the main menu. If so, you must use the default controls to navigate to the SETTINGS option in the main menu and use the CHANGE CONTROLS option to rebind your keys.


  • Added support for PS5, PS4, Switch Controllers and more
  • You can now freely switch between Keyboard and Gamepad controls during gameplay
  • You can now manually select which key you want to change in the controls menu
  • Controls menu layout has changed


GAMEPAD:

  • All gamepad controllers now support vibration (You can disable controller vibration in the Settings menu)
  • Player movement has been changed to strict 8-directional movement for Gamepad controllers
  • You can now use the D-Pad to move the player
  • You can now assign Joystick presses to the Action, Interact and Run keys
  • Vibration effects were added for Xbox controllers for some sections


KEYBOARD:

  • You don't have to choose between WASD and arrow keys for movement when rebinding controls anymore.
  • You can now assign different keys to the movement controls.
  • You can now assign TAB, CTRL, Arrow Keys, W,A,S,D and Number keys to the Interact, Action and Run keys.



OTHER FIXES:

  • Fixed a bug where a button would spawn twice in the Gardening section
  • Some menu inputs have been fixed
  • Visual cues for the listening sections have been slightly adjusted (Increased size and adjusted speed of audio waves that come from the cursor's fingertip)
  • Fixed some visual bugs with the Stamina bar
  • Code for the saving system has been completely reworked, should still be compatible with Steam Cloud and previous versions of the game. If not, please let us know!

Upcoming Accessibility and Optimization updates!

Brace yourselves, cause The Bunny Graveyard will be getting tons of updates next month!



We have decided that before we begin programming Chapter 2, The Bunny Graveyard will be going through some much needed final updates for optimization and accessibility. These are the things I'm currently working on for the next few updates:

CONTROLS:

  • The controls system will be completely reworked!
  • The game will now natively support PS5, PS4, XBOX, Switch and more controllers.
  • You will now be able to switch freely between keyboard controls and gamepad controls during gameplay. This means that the game will no longer disable keyboard controls when you connect a controller and vice versa.


LOCALIZATION SUPPORT:

  • Although the game won't be getting any official localizations anytime soon, I will now be adding support for localization. This means that all the game's text will be moved to an external file (probably a .csv) and it will now be easier to localize for the future.


OTHER STUFF I'M CONSIDERING:

  • Brightness settings
  • Audio settings
  • Being able to adjust all settings from the pause menu so you don't have to go back to the main menu
  • The game tells you where you left off when you enter the game menu
  • Show all the achievements inside the game, this is so all future ports can support achievements and don't have to rely on achievement support.
  • Skip cutscenes
  • Improvement of audio cues for deaf players.

Update 1.1.1 | Issue with Cloud Saves has now been fixed

Players who have played the game before the 1.1.0 update can now open the game without their save data getting wiped!
