V 0.28 Patch notes

Good day everyone! , hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the update V0.28

New Skill Spawn Object skill
For now i just added a single skill called spike bomb but this new skill type will be use for more skills in the future ,like one that spawns iron orbs ,bombs that break rocks that block areas with treasures or what not.
Spike Bomb

It's a normal type move known only by the monster magi of darkness at level 18

It spawns a spike bomb that will stay for 3 minutes and will damage the first enemy that gets in range.

New Land Farm area

It's located next to the farm girl building and has 25 slots where you can plant and farm , in the future i will be adding a bigger farm area to the building buying system.

Player Skills Ui rework


I created icons for the player skills so they would look nicer and not just simple text.

Fixes and changes

  • Slime monster can breed with any monster and not just fuse with any
  • Impact skills got fix where you would be stop right after using them and not moving to do the attack
  • Moved player skills and player equipment buttons to the Main Menu/Player window

Controller Support (Part 2)

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day!
On this update the controller support continues (v0.27)

New Shortcut System using the ring design was added

By default you can open it with "Q" but you can change it on the options/inputs menu , or if you are using a controller you can use the Cancel key by default its circle on the ps4.
Shortcuts are only visible when you open the inventory but the 1 to 8 are still active for now i may remove them when i integrate steam controller support or when i feel that the current custom input gets more optimized.


All UI in the game should be working with the controller if not let me know so i can fix it ,i removed the part where if you had a controller plug in the cursor would be hidden.

Controller Support (Part 1)

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day!
On this update the controller support was added using a ps4 controller

This is the first part for the full controller support so this still need some testing

You can change this configuration on the launcher/Input Tab

The inputs now are divided in part:
Character

  • Confirm - Interact
  • Triangle - Jump
  • Square - Toggle Release
  • Start - Main Menu
  • Select - Map
  • R1 - (with Monster) Switch Control Monster/Character
    (without Monster) Change Selected Monster
  • L2 - Zoom out
  • R2 - Zoom in
  • Jump - Toggle Run

Monster

  • Confirm - Skill 1
  • Cancel - Skill 2
  • Triangle - Skill 3
  • Square - Skill 4
  • Start - Main Menu
  • Select - Map
  • L1 - Recall Monster
  • R1 - Switch Control Monster/Character
  • L2 - Zoom out
  • R2 - Zoom in

Ui

Aiming

I will be changing the shortcuts system from a 1 to 8 keys to a ring system something like in gta 5 so it can be integrated to the controller support, so for now you will have to be opening the inventory and use items from there if you are using a controller.


On the inventory if you do double click or double interact(on the controller) it will display the options for the items.


This is the first time i try to do controller support so if you have some ideas to make it better let me know.

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the New Patch v 0.25

Buildable Tower Teleport

This new furniture can be craft after learning the skill and needs at least to be level to, to open the skill window you go to the inventory and press this button(ui rework will come in future updates)

Then select the crafting tab

Then after learning it will display in the furniture crafting table

And when you get get close to it a slider bar will start filling and when finish it will take you to the tower.
This filling bar will be use more items/functions in the future like reviving monster after having some visual feedback or things like that.

Monster Fusion Guide

This new system will help to know about the fusion system to know what you need to fuse them with to get variation and it's located on the monster fusion shop


It display all of the monsters for now but maybe i will change it so it display only the ones you have capture and add the live 3d display to the monsters board that display the drops or combine them both ,let me know what you think


For now it display the element that needs and what percentage it has to get that variant


The Monsters Mod now supports the rares and variations i will be updating the Monsters Mod guide soon.

The project engine was changed to a new version 2018.2.0f2 of unity and i had to update the asset bundles from the workshop mods(Hats,Main Player and Terrains),and update the modding tools

The Chests now open and close when used.

I will be adding the support for rares and variants for the workshop mod support on the next update.

V 0.22 Patch notes

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day!
Here are the patch notes for the New Patch v 0.22

Variants systems
A continue of the fusion system were if you fuse a normal and an ice monster it will result in the first monster with an ice variant that will reduce the ice damage by a 10% and so on.

We are starting with 11 of them based on ice and poison with 1 Treasure Hunter variant that increase the money you get when defeating a wild monster.

I will be adding a guide or an in game feature like the "Monster Dex" but it would show what variants you can get from a monster and what you need to fuse them to get them , when doing the fusion there is a 30 to 40% that you get a variation but this need more testing and some feedback from everyone so let me know what you think on this.

The Treasure hunter its on the evil ant fusing it with some dragon type monster or the slime that it's now a All types monster so it can fuse of breed with any monster.


Monster Specific icons
When you have a "Rare" or a "Variant" Monster it will display it respective icon and not just the normal icon.



Other Changes

  • When breeding it will result in an egg of the first monster before it evolved
  • Dragter Monster was move to be it own monster and not the 3th evolution of the ring of darkness
  • Bug where you could fuse a monster with it self


I will be working on the 3th evolution for the elemental rings for the next update but i'm still not sure on what to focus next if on some new npc/character modeling or on the history and the next act where you learn more from the "Red Mage" from the act 2, let me know what you think about this and if you have some ideas.

V 0.21 Patch notes

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day! New Patch v 0.21

Patch notes for v0.21:
New Skill Type
For now i just call it "frontal constant" when using this type of skills you will keep using it until you don't have energy to use it or when you press any of the skill buttons again.

  • Solar Ray (Grass Type)

  • Fire Breathing (Fire Type)

  • Bubbles(Water Type)

  • Sharp Leaves (Grass Type)



Dummy Targets
This are located next to the Monsters Shop

They start with a base defense of 100 but you can change that defense by interacting with them and pressing "Set" to confirm


New Drop System
The drop tables for all the monsters has been change and they will have unique drops so if you want a specific item you will have to hunt a specific monster to get it , the Monster "Mimicter" (spawns from level 15+) is now the treasure monster that has the bigger drop table but has low drop rates so you could get nothing or you could get a lot of items.

Enemy Monsters Boost
The Monsters from the npcs and some wild monsters have the new stat boost feature that make them stronger ,this will make them feel like a real challenge and not that you are just fighting wild monsters one at the time

New Special Rewards System
For now its just to give the "Monster Dex" by doing 30 random quests from the guild's quest board on a mail together with $5000 and in future updates this will be used to get unique items like a master capture card that has 100% capture rate or things like that.

Monster Dex
This item let you see the stats (lineage and growth) without having to go to the Stat Checker npc that it's close to the guild's building.

V 0.20 Patch notes

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day! New Patch v 0.20

On this patch most of the changes were done to the base code so there is not much on the content side , but we do have the new Furniture Mod support added . And it's using the new Mod Support base class that will make things easy next time i add another Mod Support.
Furniture Mod
This npc will be the one selling the furniture from the mods.

Other things that were added or change are:

  • Display Zone Text
    When you enter a new zone a text will show it's name and if you are in the tower what level it is.The names of the areas are still not decided so if you have a good name for them let me know.
  • Infinite Items bug
    When you used an item from the inventory and not from the shortcuts they wouldn't be removed.
  • Idle Wondering Ai
    There are monsters like the mimic that shouldn't be moving around ,at least until attacked by the player, this cover that part and also adds the base to add other type of behaviors.
  • Block Inputs when remapping keys
    The Mouse left ,center and right clicks and "esq" key wont count when you are remapping a key from the options menu, this was causing a bug where if you press any of this key you wouldn't be able to change to something else and had to delete your settings file just to be able to play a gain

V 0.19 Patch notes

Hello everyone i hope you are having a good day! New Patch v 0.19

This patch focus on the town adding the new feature that lets you buy a zone and place a new building
New General Store


Here you will be able to buy at a discount and will have unique items in the future.
The Cake Shop


Here you can buy food that give you buffs ,for now there are :

  • Movement increase
  • Max player health
  • Extra harvest from world objects
  • 5% capture rate increase
  • 5% drop rate
  • Linage Stat increase by 1

The Fusion Shop


Here you can fuse 2 monsters into one and it will have fuse there "Linage Stats" that define how strong it will be, so you can build your perfect Monster!
When you have two matching monsters an image will show letting you know that you can fuse them , for now the final monster will be the same as the one on the first slot ,after pressing the fuse image it will ask you if you want to fuse them and if you do you will lose both monsters and get a new one


  • Shops now have a selling price range so you will have shops that sell at a higher price or lower
  • The Tool tips for the items wont show on the shop items so you need to click on it to show the item and it description
  • Magi Of Darkness breeding type was change
  • Meteorite Skill was change to spawn only one meteorite since it was doing double the damage.


For the town building system i was going to add a generic house that give you money every in-game week but this was going to add more to the problem that you don't have things to spend the money on other than the capture monsters part so i will work on this on future patches.
For the Fusion Monsters feature i have plan to have it more dynamic where you fuse a normal dragon and a fire elemental and it result will be a fire dragon, let me know what you think on this.
Now that i have the Global buff system setup i can add more things to it ,so if you have something you would like to see in game let me know.
I was going to add the big axe but there is no higher level needed to cut down trees at the moment and the new potions were going to be for the Linage stats but i change it for the cookies so i'm holding to those for now too.
