The Cartesian Project

Kickstarter Launch Announcement

We’re excited to announce that our Kickstarter campaign for The Cartesian Project will be going live on November 8th, 2021! We’ve been working on this game for several years and we’re hopeful that this Kickstarter campaign will give us the funding we need to finally bring the game to market. Check it out here!

We've also released our promo trailer earlier this week, check it out below!

The Kickstarter will be live for 30 days: November 8th to December 7th. We’ve provided a ton of details about the lore and mechanics of the game, and have included concept art and in-game footage! We have a wide variety of tiers, from $2 up to $2500, so give them a read to see what might interest you!

We sincerely appreciate everyone supporting our Kickstarter as well as those watching from the sidelines, and thank you to all who have helped us get this far already!

Multiplayer Update

We're happy to announce that The Cartesian Project officially has functional multiplayer through Steam!

Our initial PvP workaround involved everyone on the team generating the same level in their game, jumping on a Discord group chat, and racing to see who could get to the end first. Though we had a lot of fun, it required each of us to have at least two monitors to watch and play while still feeling like a single-player experience.

In our latest update, we’re now able to create lobbies through Steam where everyone joins a lobby, entering the same level automatically when the host starts the game. Though the current experience has a long way to go, the game represents each player as a floating head with a colored aura.

With the Kickstarter starting soon, we will have more to show off in the coming months. We still need to work on specific aspects of the multiplayer experience before a full video will be available. You can help shape our multiplayer experience by supporting the Kickstarter and joining us on Discord.

See you there!
