Free to play

Hi everyone!

We have decided to make The Cleansing - Versus free to play. We want to broaden the player base to get more people involved in the game. At the moment we're in a stage where input from you guys are essential to help us evolve The Cleansing to be a great game!

To all of you who already bought the game we have discussions with Valve how to best compensate everyone, and we're of course super happy that you have supported us.

This change will happen within a week, probably earlier.

Update 2, The Cleansing - versus

This week we have brought you another update of The Cleansing - versus. The work to improve the controls have continued and more visual feedbacks have been added.

Improvements



  • It's now possible to set game speed in the lobby before you start a game (currently in experimental stage)
  • Updated cosmetic things in the game lobby UI and the Winner UI screen
  • Made your team's units more visible when behind obstacles, such as house and trees
  • Increased view range of all classes to 3000 units at start
  • Increased cameras zoom out distance
  • Units can now walk up the stairs on all monuments which can be found in the victory points
  • Texture size optimizations
  • Minimap now supports queue goto waypoints
  • Improved select unit mechanism
  • Buildings can now be added to control groups

Characters

  • Class Highborn now walks slower
  • Class Highborn has now less life (new value 70 hp)

Weapons start hit rate adjustments

  • Two handed swords increased - Highborns
  • Shotgun decreased - Highborns
  • Shotgun decreased - Highborns
  • Bow increased - Ranger
  • Assault rifle increased - Recruit
  • Big Turret increased

Weapon damage adjusted

Increased vision for Turret units when mounted

Bugs



  • Fixed an issue when a goto command on the minimap didn't hit a navigational area which resulted in a character not moving at all
  • Large amounts of collision & navigation fixes on maps

Update 1, The Cleansing

Hi all, a new update is live. What have we been doing since last week?



    Bugs and development
  • A lot of effort has been put into stability of the matchmaking and lobby functionality. The work will continue
  • Fixed lobby kick bug that messed up the lobby in general
  • Made all resolutions supported by your graphic card avaialble to set in fullscreen mode (window mode will also be added later on)
  • Fixed bug for graphical settings
  • The winners didn't show when the "Game Over" dialog showed in the end of the game

    Balance
  • Recruit passive skill "Pin down" only work with Assault Rifle now

    Servers
  • Asia and US has been disabled for now, they will be started when we see a demand for it

Hi all,
dev team here. We're excited to finally have reached a state in production where we think it's time to go into an Early access phase. Our ambition is to make weekly updates for the game, and we really need your opinions and feedback to make The Cleansing great!
