What's this? You can earn a random key while playing? But what kind of game will you get? Is the game even public or not? And most of all, is it even a steam key, or something else entirely... You will find out eventually, only select players will be chosen at random or by simply playing.
TCC Beta 1.9.2.2
I really didn't think people would get so competitive over a golden cog, this is the irony of our society. All of the first 3 positions were taken very quickly with a very high score, where an average player would never get to, so I added a top 10 place. If it so happens that top 10 also becomes very hard to get to, I'll be adding top 25 as soon as when 25 people have tried to spin the cog.
Features - Added a top 10 place cog - Cog will be updated instantly when switching through menus
Bugs - Fixed "Wait few days" - Fixed many narrator texts (thank you frsik) - Fixed visual glitch in ending screen
Added SKINS for the setting button!
Wow!
We have released SKINS for the setting button! To gather them, participate in the 'Distance Cog' event where you have to put your mouse on the setting button in order to rotate the settings cog enough to get it going! The more you spin it, the farther it goes.
1st place gets a golden cog, 2nd place is silver, 3rd place is bronze.
Have Fun!

The Colorful Creature Beta 1.9.2 | LEVELEDITOR SEMI-OVERHAUL UPDATE
Beta 1.9.2 Level-Editor Semi-Overhaul
Despite the update name, the level editor is ongoing a UI overhaul for the level editor. It is just about 60% complete so please be patient as this is still work in progress. However I still do have some exciting things to share about the 1.9.2 update regardless, and I also have some things to talk about the new editor.
Features:
Main Menu:
Badge System updated, now it shows the number of the same badges you have instead of placing them next to eachother
Added a hat merchant button in the game-mode menu, but at a 50% higher price than in-game
Moved the customize button
Old School Endless Run is now free, unless played on android which is now 100 instead of 250
Calendar now costs 100 credits, unless played on android which is 250
Added wiki button in support section
Added a new button in fun mode, which will be usable in beta 1.9.3 as an entirely different game-mode
Changed most of narrator text
LEVEL EDITOR (will be for 1.9.2.1)
- It is temporarily disabled, as the level editor isn't fully finished, the entire editor is on a semi-overhaul and please let me finish it before it's actually ready to ship. - Overhaul to the level editor has been done. Upon entering, there's a setup screen which lets you input basic info about your level, like level name, description, level size, and other things such as enabling fog. These things were previously individual buttons which were cramping the UI in a bad way, so this is currently a fix for it. - Loading levels will be easier as you'll actually have a menu to click on, note that this won't work on older levels you've made. You can still load levels in a traditional way by typing it's level name - Typing narrator text, or generally, anywhere, is now much more convenient and less annoying, if you've been writing text you know what I am talking about. - You no longer have to press E or K to spawn doors or keys, they are directly in the item menu - Added a button for item menu, which is much better than just having a hotkey [I] to display it - Added category buttons in the item menu, which imo makes more sense - Added hotkeys for many things (grid, settings, item menu, and other things) - Other general Improvements to the editor were made
GAME
Added 5 differently colored slopes (can be used in editor)
Game is now set to ONLY 60HZ, other refresh rates may or may not be available in the future.
Balanced some levels
Reduced file size by 1MB
CAMPAIGN
There's a new ending, that's all I have to say.
Bugfixes:
Fixed movement and collision code that was atrocious
Fixed broken jumping
Fixed engine related bugs
Fixed grammar in some languages
Game will launch properly from steam
We are getting really close to the actual game completion, it is indeed getting exciting! I hope you guys appreciate the effort.
Bigest udate ever!!
Added a game achievement when the game crashes... lol
Coming in Beta 1.9.2:
- Recently I was working on overhauling Level Editor, I am here to share it with you:
LEVEL EDITOR SETUP
- The Level Editor in my opinion wasn't user friendly, the last UI overhaul was in late 2019 when I added saving and loading features to it, and it's a mess. - There will now be a setup screen for every level you make, it will let you input the level name, narrator text, music of choice, level width and height, default player color and other things. - Typing level names will be more natural, before I made a clunky writing system but now that will be gone! - There is also going to be a seperate menu for loading levels instead of individually typing a level name to load it. - There will be a button which shows the item menu instead of having to press I to show up (most people didn't even know about it!) Also in the item menu there will be categories (i was so many people choose backgrounds...) - Better publishing screen! You can input the level description individually instead of narrator text that shows in workshop, I'll also try to get custom thumbnails to work better - Better level editor tutorial and better hotkeys (so no more K to place key)
My games!
- There will be a menu displaying the games I made, in the future, when I develop games for steam, if a user downloads that game, they will get a badge displayed on their main menu! Cool!
Here is a small sneak peek (real)
Full Release
- This is the year where TCC will get a full release. No more waiting around, I am done as you are! The game is around 95% complete I will try to get the main things done before I call it quits. Well.. not really... I will still update the game, but it will more/less become bugfixes, endless run balancing and calendar updates.
Thank you for your time and happy new year!
The Colorful Creature Beta 1.9.1 | CHRISTMAS UPDATE
BETA 1.9.1 - HUGE CHRISTMAS UPDATE!
Limited Time Event:
Christmas Hat is available in hat merchant shop during 25th December to 7th January!
CALENDAR REWORK:
Reworked the entire calendar here is how it works:
This new calendar is dynamic, you can choose to play Easy, Normal or Hard difficulty calendar levels
The game will choose 7 random levels from the calendar based on the difficulty you chose and a randomized seed, note that you cannot get levels from the main game or challenges.
Each difficulty rewards you differently!
Easy Difficulty rewards you with a random hat
Normal Difficulty rewards you with either a random hat or skin (excluding legendary), and extra 100 credits
Hard difficulty rewards you with either a random hat/skin/item, and extra 250 credits
Getting a duplicate customizable will give you extra 50 credits.
All credits rewards will be multiplied based on player activity in the game
Don't worry! I didn't delete the old calendar, so therefore you can still play those levels!
Future:
Starting January 2023, there will be leaderboards based on how many people have completed the new calendar, which will later be used for calendar based badges
I will rework the badge system so it's not cluttered (so for example, if you have 5 of the same badges, it will display a number instead of putting them all next to eachother)
Other:
- All calendar levels are unlocked - Changed how leaderboard systems work
Asteroids++ (New upcoming game)
Asteroids++ is now in public alpha! You can now have a chance to try the game out yourself! Eventually, this game will be available on steam too! Please give me feedback on the game, it would be very appreciated!
