Dev plays The Crimson Diamond Demo, plus Q & A!
Julia loves adventure games that use text parsers. She wants to share this love with the world. Her mystery adventure game The Crimson Diamond encourages players to try this fun and flexible method of interaction. In this livestream, Julia will be showing the tutorial room she created to show players new to text parsers how they operate, play some of the game demo (FREE on Steam) and answer questions about the game's developmente!

Coinciding with the start of The Big Adventure Event 2022, I'm pleased to launch a new and improved version of The Crimson Diamond Demo!
The demo is the first chapter of a game that will release in its entirety as seven chapters.
This new version fixes many bugs, addresses player feedback, provides more, toggle-able options for player UI, and has a bit of upgraded art in the introductory sequence!
IMPORTANT: Save games from previous versions of the demo will no longer be functional. No new story elements have been added. This version is a new & improved Chapter 1!
This demo will remain available, even after The Big Adventure Event 2022 concludes!

Making the Crimson Diamond... LIVE! Art stream with game dev Julia Minamata
Julia streams game art and game music dev (with musician and composer Dan Policar) on Tuesdays at 8pm Eastern on her Twitch channel a_maplemystery. Ahead of next week's Steam Next Fest special stream, she's going to try streaming through Twitch and The Crimson Diamond store page simultaneously! Once only a dream, she has since upgraded her hardware in part to make this possible, hopefully! Will it be possible? Let's find out together!
Aside from using Photoshop to upgrade the artwork in The Crimson Diamond's introductory sequence, she'll be showing progress on her EGA palette cross-stitching project, published artwork from her freelance illustration days, watercolour cat cards, and maybe a mineral or rock from her collection!

The Crimson Diamond Dev Demo Livestream!
Come hang out and watch Julia play through her own game demo! Ask her questions about the dev process and the project! Julia will show some of The Crimson Diamond's easter eggs and whatever other interesting bits she can remember to share.
She may also show some books that have been useful for research, her 3D-printed figurine of the Nancy Maple (the main character), and her EGA palette bracelet. Maybe also some of the process work for the art. Can you tell how excited she is to be a part of the Steam Game Festival? :D
