New Release Coming At Steam Next Fest!!! ( October 3rd )

Hello, Hello! I hope everyone is doing well! :)

I'm happy to announce that I can finally share all of the brand new, exciting things we've been working on since our last development update!

The first thing I'd like to share is that very soon, we'll be premiering a new installment of our demo for The Cult of Chanseville! The plan is to present it at Steam Next Fest on October 3rd!. Our team is thrilled for you to experience our latest work, and we are looking forward to sharing even more of what's to come!

The demo we'll be presenting during the upcoming Steam Next Fest will have between 30 to 60 minutes of gameplay. This version is going to be the definitive introduction to the terrifying tale that we've been working passionately on for such a long time.

This new demo will be completely free, just like our two previous short games! We want to show you what we're capable of, and just how much we've evolved as developers during this time.

There is still much work to be done before the game will be ready for its full release, but we didn't want to stop offering you new free experiences. It's been a long time since our last playable demo was released, and we wanted to thank our players for their patience and support.

Speaking of our team, It's my pleasure to announce that we've expanded! Please help me in welcoming our newest family members!

Like I've said from the beginning, our team is creating this game out of pure passion. We're putting all of our available time, effort, and resources into this without receiving anything in return. We don't have any type of outside financing for this project. The Cult of Chanseville has been built with hard work, personal sacrifice, and our own investments of time and money.

We're not trying to generate undeserved hype, and we promise we won't slap a ridiculous price on an indie game. If you love what we do, we only ask for your support. We want to continue developing horror games and growing as a videogame studio.

Everything that we do is made possible because of you. Your love and support fuel this project. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without our community.
After October's Steam Next Fest, we will be dedicating ourselves 100% to the development of the full game. We really hope you'll fall in love with our creation!

The purpose of this post is to answer some of your frequently asked questions!

Q&A

Is the playable demo fully representative of the final product?

- No! We are working diligently to create the best experience possible. As we work, elements are changed and improved upon, often based on feedback from our players. The game is in the early stages of development, and we're actively looking to hire additional developers to further improve the project.

Walking simulator? What about guns or melee combat?

- Don't let the term "walking simulator" fool you! You'll still need to defend yourself from some of your enemies! Currently, we're looking at introducing a pistol. A shotgun may come in the future. Boss fights and enemies with AI are upcoming in development!

Is this an indie game?

- I'm a solo, indie developer trying my absolute best. I'm putting all of the effort and money into this project that I can afford. You may encounter bugs and missing mechanics in the released playable teaser. Please consider This is an indie game.

How much longer will the full game be?

- We're aiming to have three to five maps, each having approximately one hour of gameplay.

New mechanics? UI/UX rework?

- We are aiming to hire developers to build the best experience possible. Features will likely be added and changed along the way.

Cinematics? Cutscenes?

-We know the importance and vitality on this subject, that is why our intention is to be able to hire a 3d artist to guarantee a well-done job.

Estimated release date?

- I can't promise an exact release date at this time, but we're working as hard as possible to finish within 2022! We are actively looking to hire developers to help speed this process!

How long will the demo be available?

- Demo will be available to download for the next 40 to 60 days after the release at December 23rd. We want to collect some feedback, show some of the environments and we would like to heard what you would like to see in the game

Can I post suggestions?

- Absolutely! Please do, that will be very helpful! All feedback helps me to grow as a developer and make this game the best it can be! :)
