A Short Wait for an Update!

Hello! While we’ll try not to make a habit of so many updates in a single week, we were excited to get this update out to you before the weekend! A few of these updates also apply to the demo, so have your fellow gamers check them out!

Game Updates!

Passive Reload: It’s been disabled for Level 1! We’ve noticed a lot of first-time players don’t realize there is a quick full-reload option and instead wait for the bullets to recharge. With this change, we’re expecting players to learn the reload and then hopefully use it on future levels!

Rapid Fire Turret: When you pick up rapid fire, your turret will turn a cool shade of green

Rapid Fire Projectiles: Your projectiles have lost their trails, but with so many flying through the air who’d notice?! They are now also green.

Maps!

Level 2: Updated to include a Rapid Fire on the map – let players early on experience the might of rapidity!

Level 13: NEW level! It’s on a slant, sure, but that just means more angles to fight!

2nd Game Update This Week! New Weapon Goes BRRRRRRT!

It's update time! "Twice in one week?!" YES! Twice in one week!

Map:
Level 13: It's trench warfare, but with TANKS. Mount the offensive and conquer your foes!
^Our 15-star record is 52 seconds (our developer is very proud of this! See if you can conquer it!)

Weaponry: New weapon goes BRRRT
Rapid Fire: Click and hold and launch your munitions downstream! Each hit may pack a little less punch, but you're out there throwing a lot more punches!

Steam Update:
Free Demo Available!: Got a friend whos interested in playing? Tell them to check out the demo! They'll get access to the first 5 missions and see what all the hubbub is about!

Not 1, not 2, but 3 MORE MAPS!

Apologies for the lateness for this update! The team came down with the flu, but now that we've conquered it we're ready for you to conquer some new maps!

Menu navigation:
We added some extra flair to the background for the main menu!

New Levels:
Level 10: By beating this level, you're halfway through the game! See if you can breakout of the map and fight the bonus enemies and see the bonus signs!

Level 11: It's all uphill from here. At least there's cannons ready to take you where you want to go! #VroomAndBoom

Level 12: You've come to a crossroads! Which directions yield loot and which yield the exit?!

First BIG update! Launching Early Access 2.0!

BIG changes!
  • BIG Change #1: Tanks are no longer always flat! Both you and enemy tanks will tilt and match their orientations to the ground. A much asked for and finally released update!
  • BIG Change #2: When aiming (right click/left trigger), a red dot will show where the blue trail collides with another object (wall, tank, etc.). More accuracy!


Gameplay updates:
  • Improved Bullet Hit Detection: Now you can reliably shoot from cliff edges!
  • Bullet Trail Colors: If you tried out the bonus level and saw the enemy tanks, you may have noticed that all of their bullet trails were red. Well no more! The trail for a bullet matches the color of the tank that shot it, so you’ll have a much cleaner idea of who is targeting you!


Enemy tank updates:
  • Tank Hit Box Update: We originally used a sphere as the hit box, which led to many issues. Now it has a tank-shaped hit box, which shouldn’t have any issues!
  • Firing range: Enemy tanks now have a longer fire range, meaning they will shoot at you earlier as they approach. Dodge ‘em!
  • Keep your enemies close, just not that close: Enemy tanks now have a further close-in range, meaning they won’t hug you as closely when they move up to you. Additionally, they’ll let you move a little further away before they start chasing you. #BackOff!


Map news:
  • Level 6: Added a for more tanks to the back section. You can tackle ‘em, right?
    NEW MAPS: We got 3 new maps for you! And they’ve all got the classic signposts throughout!
  • Level 7: Looks like you discovered a supply line – where does it go?
  • Level 8: You’re surrounded! By Pink Snipers?! Collect the coins and jump right back into the fray with the movement cannons.
  • Level 9: ReGREENeration! Green tanks and turrets regenerate health almost immediately, so take them out quickly in this whirlwind of a level!

The next update is here! 5/5/2022 edition

The D-T.E.A.M. has news! News! News! News! News!

Menu Updates:
- The button on the homepage now says "Click to Give Feedback". If you click it, you can give feedback!
- On the Options page, we swapped the apply and main menu buttons. Now you can work top to bottom to finish up your settings change.
- We use the Unreal Engine for this game! They are now properly credited on the credits page (thanks for such a great engine Epic!)

HUD updates
- Your health bar has colors! When your health drops to 60%, the bar turns yellow, and at 20% it turns red. Pick Up a maintenance health kit to be brought back to full green. (Which, in this case, is just as good as gold)
- We have trouble counting to 5, so we added how many coins have been collected each mission underneath the health bar! Pick one up and see that gold!

Game Updates
- Enemy tanks have been reworked!
--- Improved Movement: Tanks now have a comfortable firing range - they move to that and only begin to chase you again if you leave their max range. Additionally, and this one is a biggun, if you hop on them, you can now hop off!
--- Improved Tank aiming: Their turrets actually rotate! We no longer require the full tank to spin in order to aim at you
--- Improved Visual: When a tank is approaching you, the tank has better tracking of your position.

Level Updates
- Level 6 was missing signs.... so we added them! Read to your heart's galore
- The coming soon mission has been updated... with... prototype enemies?? WHAT DO THEY HAVE IN STORE NOW?!?!

Post-PAX East 2022 Update + New Level

PAX East 2022 is over!

We were able to demo the game several hundred times this year, and every day we received a ton of amazing feedback, as well as from form submission on our website. After spending 8 hours at PAX each day, we ran back to the hotel room and continued to work on the game. Over the course of the 4 days, we hotfixed several game mechanics, and now that we've had a day or two to properly test them we're taking it live!


  • Upon taking damage, temporarily turn white (visual indicator of damage)
  • Upon taking damage, gain very brief invulnerability (avoid double-hits)
  • Controller Assisted Aiming (left trigger) now has 50% look sensitivity reduction


We've also heard significant feedback about adding more platforming, so we're happy to showcase to you an additional level where platforming is the focus! We'll be adding more platforming to additional levels as well. We'll be adding additional levels to play in the near future (more content!), and then changing them later when we have the story and voices ready to go.

Thanks so much for all the feedback we've received so far! We have a laundry list of amazing ideas to tackle, and we're excited to continue to make the best game we can!

PAX East Update!

We're halfway through PAX East 2022, and we have had an absolute blast getting to meet gamers and getting their feedback on our game!

Some updates that we have upcoming that are in prototype (developed at PAX):
- Temporary invincibility after you take damage
- Adding a strong visual indicator when you are hit
- Improving Aim Assist when using a controller
- Improved clarity for several data points

Additional next-up (prioritized for the next 2 weeks after PAX):
- More playable levels

First game update!

1.) Map updates to 1,2,4,5 - Specially adding more platforming and changing coin placements

2.) Reduced reload time from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds

3.) Added "Big Shots" weapon upgrade to levels 1, 4, and 5. These weapon upgrades give you 6 shots that deal max damage, unlimited range, and change the appearance of your tank.

4.) Adding "Displacement Cannon" to level 4 - Hop on the cannon to see the world!

5.) Audio upgrade for all cannon/turret fire

Big Shots and coin placements

Big Shots have been added, a powerful new weapon upgrade with 6 shots.

Also, coins have been moved to encourage more platforming!
