We had big hopes and dreams for THE DAY Online. We hoped to deliver new and exciting experience to our players. We wanted to create a game which you can enjoy for long time to come. But we ultimately failed to do so.
THE DAY Online will cease all of its operations and shutdown the servers on Friday, June 22nd, 2018 KST.
We can't begin to express how much we are thankful to all the players who played THE DAY Online, especially to those of whom actively participating and giving feedback on various communities. You guys were the ones who kept us going.

Today we are very sorry to announce this bad news.
With several reasons, we decided to close North American and European steam severs, which means we can only open and keep Asian steam sever with limited updates.
Actually 'THE DAY Online Project' started long time ago with great expectations and excitement. We always believe that game developers make games and complete them with users together.
That's why we've been so happy to make users community, steam shops of 'THE DAY Online' and to meet each of you everyday.
However the reality was CRUEL and the result was disappointing. Despite our efforts to get the right answer, we are having some more difficulties releasing our game at steam.
To make matters worse there have been several internal matters as well such as crew members and financial problems etc. So considering all these matters, we came to a conclusion that it is right to admit the reality we are facing now and be honest with our users and let them know this news as well.
But we all know that everything has its BRIGHT SIDE too.
Learning from our experience, we Reloaded Studios has
-our own broad and solid game components
-cause analysis of our failure and feedback
-last but not least real passion for game with sincere & positive attitude.
We newly started to make small-volumned but more fun game reflecting our own uniqueness.
Of course we are not still 100% sure whether this game satisfies you but we think we can do our best and this is also the best thing we can do for now.
We will keep trying and we promise we do not give up 'THE DAY Online' as well. The Day will come and hope to see you again.

Gettng feedback from many users, we've updated our shortcomings from the 1st open beta.

Ease Access for Users
Improvement of lobby system :
'lobby' has been changed into waiting room for users applying for matching.
Previous lobby will be added into battle practice mode for doing pre-battle practice among other users.
Adding personal battle practice room :
Champion skills on Bot can be practiced.
Adding DownTown Battle tutorial:
by better understaning objects of downtown map, you can experience destroying AI and winning skills.
Adding DownTown AI battle:
user vs. AI added. previous user+AI vs user+AI removed.
We hope our new users can familiarize downtown map in easy way.
Adding character naming:
Character names simplyfied, which is one of your continuous feedbacks.
Matching Methods
To improve new users' game adaptability and preventing matching breakingup, only 'Downtown' is operated for now.
Matching users with similar level for certain time instead of previous first-come, first-served matching
Champion Rewarding System Several modifications have been made.

The first given champions are 7.
Whenever clearing each mode, you can obtain random champion cards.
After destroying main bot at the battle practice room, 1 champion card can be given at the main page. (once only)
When downtown tutorial completed, 1 champion card can be given. (once only)
When winning downtown AI battle, 1 champion card can be given. (once only)
Whenever winning downtown normal game, 1 champion card can be given. ( maximum 18 times only)
Modifying battlefield numbers
Only 'DownTown Battle' is opened for new users to famillize our game easily.
This is also to settle some parts of matching beeakingups
'Resources battlefield' and 'survival deathmatch' will be open with more users coming.

Notice on 2nd Open Beta Test
To provide our players with better THE DAY Online experience, we are preparing a big patch for 2nd Open Beta based on the valuable feedback our players expressed. The most frequent feedback was that there was no clear explanation on how to play the game for new users. Secondly, unfriendly UI design made it difficult for players to find a match. This issue caused many players to just wonder around the lobby without a purpose. To address these, we are concluding the 1st Open Beta to secure enough time to fix most pressing issues. We will soon be back with a patch, hopefully providing our players with much better experience than before. We expect about 5 days for the patch. The lobby will still be open to all players, but arenas will be unplayable until 2nd Open Beta begins. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We'd like to start our patch news with an honest statement from developers before we get into the patch details.
The responses and result of The Day Online Open Beta was dramatically different from what we expected before we opened our doors. We were quite frankly shocked, as well as lost on how to proceed from that point on. The hurried last patch, which was our desperate attempt to remedy the situation, no doubt caused much confusion among our players.
Coming out of the initial shock, we held numerous and long internal discussions talking about the future of the game as well as what we have to do. And we found what we've lost along the way. When we founded the company, we were determined to make a game 'with our players' when the right time comes. However, the actions we've taken recently were not. We do realize it now.
We might not be able meet to our players' expectations in timely manner since we are a small company with limited resource, but we promise to do our best to hear our players and incorporate it within the game.
Lastly, the biggest mistake we made was to market our game as MOBA without thinking too much about what the genre actually entails. We wanted to create something new and unique, and the end result closely resembled MOBA on the surface, when actual game mechanic didn't. We are deeply sorry for players who felt disappointed expecting a traditional MOBA.

Sub-weapon system rolled back to the original system.
All champions are temporarily unlocked to test champion balances across the board.
Respawn delay increment value adjusted: 2 seconds for Resource Battle and 3 seconds for Downtown.
Maximum respawn delay adjusted: 29 seconds for Resource Battle and 39 seconds for Downtown.
Human male Warrior Skill 1 cooltime changed to 4 seconds from 3 seconds.
Human female Tanker normal attack distance changed to 14.5 to 16.5.
Fury male Tanker Skill 1 cooltime changed to 7 seconds from 5 seconds.
Fury female Tanker Skill 1 cooltime changed to 10 seconds from 7 seconds.
<*>The sub-weapon system simplified: Sub-weapon system has been changed into single sub-skill system. A sub-skill activates immediately with right mouse click. The purpose of this change is to make the skill mechanism a bit simpler from the current one.
<*>Pace change for Resource Battle: Refinery Level starts with 3 now in stead of one. Although early game for Resource Battle has its own merits, we've decided to tune Resource Battle more into a quick and action packed experience than before.
Added 5 vs 5 Downtown Battle rank mode(solo/duo modes are available and team rank mode will be added later on)
Resource Battle and Survival Deathmatch modes are temporarily deactivated for smooth matching of Downtown Battle mode
Added invert mouse and key bindnig options for character movement.
Fixed a bug causing abnormal resolution.
Fixed a bug causing a sudden client crash while in lobby.
Now Game starts with Full Window Mode.
Human Male Worrior, Human Female Tanker, Fury Male Long Range Dealer, Fury Female Tanker, Dominus Male Tanker, Machina Worrior are locked for re-balancing patch and update. Previously locked champions are now avaible.
Reduced resurrection time.
Removed multi-kill buff
Reduction rate for Cooltime item in Downtown battle has been changed from 40% to 30%.
The amount of HP obtained by skill 3 of Human Male Tanker, and skill 2 of Human Female Worrior has been reduced.
Reduction of cooltime using skill 1 and 3 of Fury Female Range Dealer has been changed from 7 sec to 5 sec.
Moving speed in combat has been chaged from 5.8 to 5.6
Removed champions leveling up in Resource Battle mode.
