GAMEPLAY



  • Game now auto-pauses when the game controller comes unplugged during play.
  • Attempting to breathe fire with the mouse or invoke a spell with the controller while there is an active Casting Circle no longer errantly triggers the Breath recharge delay.

AUDIO



  • Audio settings are now correclty loaded at Main Menu startup as intended.
  • Softened AudioSources across the game.

GUI/UIX



  • Fixed an issue when using a game controller where game screens would frequently fail to focus after the previous screen had closed.
  • In-Game user reporting now correcty pauses the game when spawned and spawns the Gameplay Menu when closed.

GENERAL



  • Polished the Nethervortex
    - Lightning audio is now directly tied to individual lightning strikes providing for a much stormier vortex.
    - The lightning flash is now more centered around the eye of the vortes.
    - Improved the lightning flash visual effect.
  • Lots of additional tweaks and fixes in preparation for the upcoming launch.

GAMEPLAY



  • Altered the dungeon creator to generate tighter, more stacked layouts -- your saved games may look different.

  • Enemies now react more often to being hit, this chance increases as the level gap between Frigg and the enemy increases.
  • Slightly reduced the pickup sound of Eternity Runes.
  • Fixed more colliders.
  • Enemy audio sources are now set to full 3D @ 5-500.
  • Enhanced the audio effects of Arcane Strike and Flame Strike.
  • Fixed torch/lighting issues in 'Lost Jungle Temple' level.
  • Fixed issues with some spells audio being in the 2D space, and thus super loud regardless of distance from the effect.
  • Fixed ragdoll issues with Skeleton Brutes.
  • Increased the run speed of all enemies a bit.
  • The portal to the realm of the BONE KING now correctly appears at the end of level 50.
  • Reduced the emission of all torch particle systems from 10-15 to 5-10.

PERFORMANCE



  • Additional optimizations, you may see a few more frames per second.

  • Fixed an rare issue that was causing sound to be muted after starting a new game or loading into a saved game.
  • Increased the volume of Eternity Rune pickup audio.
  • Torches and other fires now bellow and crackle.

  • Demon of Envy has been recolored to a hue more befitting its name.

Weekend Update

GAMEPLAY



  • Spell targeting no longer untargets if the player aims at inanimate objects, this 'sticky targeting' allows for more fluid casting as well as 'behind-the-back' casting.
  • Frigg's Breath and Energy stats now scale with level.
  • Frigg's Breath Drain and Energy Drain now scale with level.
  • Reduced the Energy cost of all Frigg's melee attacks by approx 40% to compensate for the new stat scaling.
  • Frigg now consumes 33% less energy during flight when idling ond 66% less when gliding.
  • Completing a level now fully refreshes Frigg's Breath and Energy stats.
  • Completing a level with a 'Perfect Run' now fully refreshes all of Frigg's stats.
  • Completing a level with a 'Perfect Run' now grants bonus score for each enemy killed and gem collected.
  • Enemy NPCs now assess whether or not to help an ally thats called for help based on a roll against their faction table, resulting in a more organic response pattern.
  • Reduced the social ranges of most enemies as to not overcompensate for the new and better cry for help mechanics.
  • Normalized all NPC reaction times.
  • Fixed an issue with pocket dimensions at level 45+ where there were not enough chests to meet the exit qualifications.

VISUAL/PERFORMANCE



  • Fixed an issue where some enemy projectile impact effects were causing Frigg's aim to skew.
  • Fixed more z-fighting issues.
  • Reduced all light radii for dramatic effect and to reduce load impact.
  • Reduced the max distance of all shadows by 32 meters to reduce load impact.
  • Power Gem particles no longer cast shadows since they're glowing.
  • Corrected coloring issues on some Power Gems.
  • Smoothed out the transition between dive, glide, and climb while flying.

  • Significantly increased performance by correcting an issue that was causing AI to continue to be overly active outside of their active range from the player, which was causing unnecessary additional load.
