Crown Lesson: Riding Stamina ×4—Day 7

Flint Pelt Fox Mount—Day 10

Ride a brand-new mount

The Flint Pelt Fox strikes a dashing figure, and even more so while you’re riding atop it! This new in-game mount would make great use of the above stamina lessons from earlier in the week.

Grand Gold Coast Experience Scroll  ×1—Day 14

Level up fast with an experience scroll

No matter what adventures you’re on, whether you’re racing to hit level 50, CP 160, or even greater power, we know that a 150% boost to experience gains is always welcome.

Instant All Research Scroll ×2—Day 21

Research traits quickly with these scrolls

If you’re on the path to become a master crafter, these Instant All Research Scrolls can help you unlock new traits in no time by reducing the time it takes to research for Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking, and Jewelry Crafting by one day.

Work Hard to Earn Bonus Rewards During the Zeal of Zenithar In-Game Event!

The God of Commerce ensures hard work pays off for the laborers of Tamriel during the Zeal of Zenithar in-game event.

Honest Labor Rewarded

The Zeal of Zenithar in-game event returns on July 27 at 10AM EDT, and it runs until August 8 at 10AM EDT. To get started, pick up the introductory quest "The Unrefusable Offer" from Amminus Varo at the Belkarth festival grounds or acquire the free quest starter from the Crown Store. Having trouble locating Belkarth? Don’t worry; just head over to the nearest Impresario tent and take the nearby portal. Upon finishing the intro quest, you unlock the daily quest, "Honest Toil."

Find Amminus Vario to begin

During the event, the first time you complete the daily quest each day, you receive a Zenithar’s Sublime Parcel box as a bonus reward. Each subsequent completion of the Honest Toil quest during that same day rewards you with a Zenithar’s Delightful Parcel box.

In addition, you can earn Zenithar’s Delightful Parcel boxes by participating in the following activities:
  • Completing the introductory quest “The Unrefusable Offer”
  • Completing any Master Writ, per discipline, per account, each day
    • Subsequent Master Writs of the same discipline won’t provide further boxes until the daily reset
  • First daily Crafting Writ, per account, completed each day
  • Each time you defeat a world boss while grouped with a player who is in at least one of your player guilds
  • Each time you complete a world event while grouped with a player who is in at least one of your player guilds

You also have a chance to earn a Zenithar’s Delightful Parcel box when conquering each round of a group-based arena challenge while teamed up with a player who is a member of at least one of your guilds. Additionally, the final round’s reward chest contains a guaranteed parcel.

Alternatively, if you prefer to earn your rewards through less-than-honest means, you may discover parcels scattered across Tamriel by pickpocketing citizens and looting strongboxes or thieves troves. Why not let others do all the hard work for you?

Within either parcel box (Sublime or Delightful), there is a chance to receive the following rewards:
  • A tradeable outfit style page for the new Kwama Miner’s Kit outfit style armor
  • A tradeable outfit style page for the new Ashen Militia weapon style
  • Durable crafting materials, provisioning ingredients, alchemy reagents, runestones, or a motif style item
  • Crafting boosters
    • Chance to drop a gold-tier booster or a research time scroll
  • Furnishing or provisioning recipes
  • Repair kits, siege repair kits, or a small chance for an Impresario Group Repair Kit
  • Treasure Maps, Survey Reports, Imperial City vault keys, Companion gear, or a random currency pouch
    • The random currency pouch can contain either gold or Tel Var stones; there is an extremely small chance that you discover a jackpot that allots 100,000 of the associated currency!
      • The earnings from this pouch, jackpot or otherwise, are unaffected by any form of currency boosts

Earn new outfit and weapon styles

Both boxes can contain these goodies, but the Sublime Parcel boxes provide a higher chance to contain the more valuable rewards.

Global Event Modifiers

These boxes won’t be the only bonus rewards you can enjoy during the Zeal of Zenithar event. Throughout the duration, all players benefit from the following modified global in-game effects:
  • Wayshrine travel costs are reduced by 75%
  • Repair costs on vendors are reduced by 50%
  • Crafting inspiration gain from all sources is increased by 100%
  • Vendor prices across Tamriel are reduced by 10%
    • These include:
      • Vendors that sell items for gold, AP, or Tel Var stones, including the Golden Vendor
      • Houses purchasable for gold

Event Tickets & the Impresario

If you participate in the Zeal of Zenithar event, you also receive three Event Tickets the first time you complete the Honest Toil quest each day. By the end of the event, you can collect a whopping 39 tickets! But don’t forget: 12 Event Tickets is the maximum number you can carry at any one time. If you happen to earn more while already at the cap, Zenithar will penalize you for your hoarding by not rewarding any tickets!

After you’ve gathered enough Event Tickets, head on over to the Impresario’s tent and exchange them for any of the following rewards:
  • All three Passion Dancer Blossom pet fragments
    • Chartreuse Lily Petals
    • Enchanted Silver Flute
    • Mystical Sheet Music
  • First Passion Dancer Garment costume fragment
    • Bolt of Indigo Cotton
  • Bound style pages for the Kwama Miner’s Kit outfit style armor
  • Bound style pages for the Ashen Militia weapon style
  • Group Repair Kits
  • Companion Guild Commendations

Earn the first fragment for the Passion Dancer Garment

Additionally, during the event, the Impresario’s Assistant Philius Dormier offers the following goodies:
  • All three Unstable Morpholith pet fragments
    • Deadlands Flint
    • Rune-Etched Striker
    • Smoldering Bloodgrass Tinder
  • All three Deadlands Firewalker personality fragments
    • Vial of Simmering Daedric Brew
    • Vial of Bubbling Daedric Brew
    • Vial of Scalding Daedric Brew

Last but certainly not least, the Indrik vendor Nenulaure’s shop is stocked with the following items:
  • Nascent Indrik Feathers
  • Onyx Indrik Berries
  • Mossheart Indrik Berries
  • Ebon-Glow Indrik pet
  • Sapling Indrik pet

Nenulaure the Indrik Vendor

Zenithar’s Blessing to You!

The assortment of collectibles you can amass during the Zeal of Zenithar in-game event is proof that the harder the work, the greater the rewards. Ready to apply some elbow grease and receive compensation in the form of bonus goods? Let us know if you’re planning to make Zenithar proud via TwitterInstagram, or Facebook.

The Zeal of Zenithar in-game event begins July 27 at 10:00AM EDT, and it runs until Tuesday, August 8 at 10:00AM EDT.

Update 39 Preview—Base Game Improvements and Additions

Learn about some of the key changes and additions coming with the Update 39 free base-game patch.

During the ESO Global Reveal back in January, we announced that we were taking the time during this development cycle to focus on polishing in-game systems and addressing some of the community’s longstanding requests. We are happy to announce that the first round of these changes, in addition to a host of various bug fixes, will be arriving August 21 on PC/Mac and September 5 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles in the Update 39 base-game patch. As a base-game update, Update 39 is free for all existing ESO players, with no additional purchase required. Discover some of the changes coming with Update 39 below!

General Improvements

Quest & Content Improvements for New Players

To help new players who are feeling overwhelmed upon first entering Tamriel, the team has implemented a host of changes designed to reduce the volume and frequency of quest choices presented to players in early content. Specifically, this update changes when certain quest bestowers appear and how fervent they are in chasing you down. This includes quests bestowers for the main story, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Battlegrounds, Undaunted, and other questlines. With Update 39, as you level up and explore, these quests will more gradually become available for you to pick up—keeping that journal in a more manageable state!

Navigator Quest Pins

This update also introduces a new system that utilizes Tamriel’s navigators: NPCs that transport players between critical destinations for free. Tracked quests (active or inactive) will now indicate whether these navigators can take you where you need to go. When approaching a navigator NPC, you’ll see a “door” pin indicating that they can help you in your journey. When conversing with these NPCs, the appropriate dialog line will also have the same pin next to it, ensuring you’re sent to the right location to continue your quest.

New Endeavor Activity Types

Update 39 also includes the addition of new types of weekly and daily Endeavors, giving you a greater variety of ways to earn your Seals of Endeavor. Examples include Endeavors that ask you to complete Tales of Tribute matches; capture Farms, Keeps, or Towns in Cyrodiil; and complete Trials with guildmates.

Earn more Seals of Endeavors in Cyrodiil

Item Management Improvements

In addition, this patch features changes that help you better understand and manage your inventory’s various items. With Update 39, certain Crown Store items that appear the same but come from different sources will all stack together, freeing up valuable inventory space. Additionally, to help clear up what items can and cannot be sold, unsellable items will now be listed as worth zero gold in your inventory. Previous zero gold items that can now be sold will be valued at one gold. This includes items such as low-level gear, some crafting materials, low-level provisions, lockpicks, and tutorial items.

PvP Additions

PvP Death Notifications

With Update 39, a new death notification system has been added during your PvP clashes in Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and Battlegrounds. This new chat feature alerts you as to who defeated whom, tells you around what area the death occurred, and displays the Alliance ranks of those in the battle. Furthermore, you can find more information on the “Crossed Swords” map icons, showing who’s currently winning a specific battle in Cyrodiil or the Imperial City.

New PvP Rewards

Update 39 also introduces various new items for players to spend their Alliance Points on including three Cyrodiil-based Monster Masks: Jerall Mountains Warchief, Nibenay Bay Battlereeve, and Colovian Highlands General. These new Monster Masks each provide unique boons to Tamriel’s PvP warriors. For example, the Nibenay Bay Battlereeve mask automatically generates a damage shield for you whenever you are forcefully moved via a pull, knockback, or teleport ability. You can acquire these new Monster Masks from Cyrodiil Elite Gear Vendors located at the Eastern Elsweyr Gate, Southern High Rock Gate and Northern Morrowind Gate by trading Alliance Points.

Additionally, you can adorn yourself with the new Unfeathered Battle Body and Face Markings, revealing your warrior spirit. You can obtain these Markings from Gladiator's Rucksacks after completing Cyrodiil Conquest Mission Board daily quests.

Earn new Monster Masks for your Scamp hunts!

Treasure Scamp Drop Boosts

The Imperial City’s Treasure Scamps have also received a buff* in Update 39 to the number of rewards they drop when defeated. Cunning Scamps will now drop a much greater quantity of Tel Var Stones, and Trove Scamps will now drop a tradable piece of Imperial City Gear. Even more reasons to chase the hapless Daedra down should you see them—happy hunting!

Home Editor Improvements

Preview Crown Furnishings

For Housing aficionados, Update 39 includes the ability to preview the placement of Crown Furnishings (furnishings you buy from the in-game Crown Store) before making a purchase. This allows you to see exactly how a furnishing might fit into your home before committing.

Inventory Furnishing Placement

This new update also introduces the ability to place furnishings directly from your Inventory and Collectibles UI while in your home. To do so, simply find the item in your Inventory or Collectibles UI, select it, and select the “Place” option—easy!

These are just some highlights from the upcoming base-game patch. If you’d like to see the complete list of fixes, improvements, and additions, check out the patch notes on our official forums here and be sure to keep an eye out more regarding Update 39 in the near future.

You can try out the update for yourself right now by logging into our PC/Mac Public Test Server. Be sure to let us know what you think and don’t forget that this update is completely free for all existing ESO players. Are you looking forward to Update 39? Let us know what you’re most excited for via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!

*Although the scamps themselves might not see it that way!
