In early 2019, we will set loose a free expansion to The Final Specimen: Arrival hereby dubbed THE FINAL HORSE!
This will be a psychedelic remix of the original game. You will play as a person with a horse for a face on a very mysterious quest to solve the meaning of life.

Bugfixes
Level 4's crusher will no longer push you into the ground if you stand at the edge of it
We fixed a bug where floating bomb pickup items fell to the ground
Swings in levels 3 and 7 will now always move at a consistent speed
A level 7 boss bug that would prevent the boss fight from ending has been removed
Falling into a slime pit and getting hit by an anvil at the same time no longer freezes the controls
An issue with the level 4 boss's charge has been resolved

Continues have been increased on hard mode from 3 to 5
Several bosses now more gracefully jump and land
Obstacle hitboxes on the final boss have been made more accurate

We fixed some enemies not counting towards punch and bomb counter achievements
Dropped bombs now correctly land without getting stuck
The rope at the beginning of level 6 will no longer cause problems with player movement
The boss music on level 4 will now cleanly loop

The boss fight of level 6 now has added depth and difficulty
Thomas will no longer be able to easily hide from the boss's attacks because the safe zone on the rope has been removed
The boss will wind up before each hit to indicate where he will strike
When the boss is vulnerable to damage, his eyes will blink twice to allow time to react
Audio
Volume levels have been tweaked across the entire game to create a more pleasant listening experience
Analog distortion has been eliminated by accounting for true peak clipping
Cutscenes are easier to hear
Loud sound effects now know their place

Saving progress
We have gotten feedback that people would like the game to save their progress, so we are going to implement this in our first patch. People will be able to resume playing where they left off with the number of lives they had left. This keeps the game very arcade while still letting people experience it at their own pace.
