The Final Stand: Breakout

Operation Endpoint Ceasing Development

Hello everyone, unfortunately I have come with bad news, as the title says Operation Endpoint will not be releasing. After we pulled The Final Stand: Breakout from steam, the team downsized to just one person, me. I wanted to bring some of our vision to you after the team split ways but that proved to difficult. The amount of time and money that needed to be poured into Operation Endpoint was too much for me. So with that Operation Endpoint is ceasing development permanently. I am sorry to you all.

Release Date & More

Hello everyone, in late August we mentioned the rebranding of our game and our official announcement of development being continued as well as a few other things. Today we would like to take the time to elaborate on some burning questions, news regarding the recent controversy at Unity Technologies, and a "release date" for Operation Endpoint.

First, we want to get out the way that we will not be switching game engines and will stick with Unity due to the game being close to launch. We are still disappointed in Unity Technologies regarding their retroactive changes even if they have since walked back on it. We feel that it would take to long to get familiar with another engine while porting Operation Endpoint over, although any future games we produce will not be made with Unity. With that out of the way we would like to answer some other questions that we have seen.

1. When is the release date?
Answer: We believe Operation Endpoint will be ready for launch in Q1 2024. We have almost all core gameplay functions completed, but the two launch maps still need some work and map 3(First post-launch map) layout is underway.

2. Is console support still being considered?
Answer: At this time we will focus on PC but still have plans for console support

3. When will we see gameplay?
Answer: We plan on showing early gameplay in November leading up to launch as well as maybe including a small open Tech Test in January

4. What are our content plans for Operation Endpoint post launch?
Answer: We have a content pipeline consisting of multiple survival maps and even maps we call "Challenge Maps." We are focusing on the survival gamemode currently.

The Future

Hello everyone, a few of you may have noticed some changes on the Steam store page. We are excited to announce that we are changing from the name The Final Stand: Breakout to Operation Endpoint. This is one small step of many to correct our game as we are in the process of completely rebranding ourselves. Some of you may wonder why and we will be answering that below.

Back in April we responded a bit about our new vision. The infamous overhaul update has changed into an overhaul of the entire game itself. It has been completely changed from the ground up. One thing we noticed while making The Final Stand Breakout was that we promised much but barely delivered. In our excitement for releasing our game we constantly touted of features that could never possibly see the light of day and mismanaged what little we did manage to get out the door. After the initial post about the overhaul update we thought long about the future of our game and what it could reasonably become. After thinking we decided to reigned in our vision for the game by building a solid foundation then expanding upon it.

For the release of Operation Endpoint we will have these base features, 2 survival maps, 6 player multiplayer, single player, weapon upgrading, power-ups, and perks. All people who have purchased The Final Stand: Breakout will get Operation Endpoint as an update for free. We have more updates in the future and are excited to share them with you, especially the launch maps. We thank everyone who has stuck with us and we will be back soon!
