Content Improvements
(1) Weapons & Modules
- Maximum capacity of High-Power Rounds has been increased from 25 → 50.
- Increased the efficiency of the High-Power Rounds Conversion Module.
ㄴ General Rounds Charge Improvement: Reduced the number of General Rounds consumed from 200 → 50.
ㄴ Special Rounds Charge Improvement: Reduced the number of Special Rounds consumed from 120 → 30.
ㄴ Impact Rounds Charge Improvement: Reduced the number of Impact Rounds consumed from 25 → 6.
- Reduced the capacity of the High-Power Rounds Exclusive Rounds Conversion Module.
ㄴ Reduced the capacity from 16 to 6 to 12 to 2.

(2) UI & UX
- System tab has been added to the chat box.
ㄴ You can choose to display or hide the system messages in the World, Common, and Recruit tabs in the options. (However, system messages will always be displayed in the System tab regardless of the option settings.)
ㄴ You may not enter messages in the System tab.

(3) Better Control and Additional Options
- Expanded controller sensitivity setting from 100 → 200.
- Changed the mouse sensitivity setting unit to 0.1.
- Added the mouse vertical sensitivity setting option.

(4) Miscellaneous
- Lowered the number of Invasion Disruptions required for the Battle Pass's Week 5 Challenge "Face the Invasion" from 25 times → 10 times.


Bug Fixes
(1) Content
- Fixed an issue where Gluttony would enter Daze during the summoning animation while summoning a Mining Device.
ㄴ Gluttony and other Colossi have been fixed so that they do not enter Daze during certain hidden mechanics.

(2) Descendants
- Fixed an issue where the Out of Combat state duration for Ajax's "Void Energy" consumption was displayed in the Skill Info window as if it was increased by the Skill Duration Increase Module.
- Fixed an issue where when Sharen's "Battlesuit Melting Rounds" Module was equipped, the "MP Consumption" appeared unaffected by the "MP Cost Reduction" in the Skill Info window.

(3) UI/UX
- Fixed an issue where the "Purchase Bundle" button did not function correctly when re-entering the Customize Skin List after pressing "Back."
- Fixed an issue where the English UI text display of the "Additional Skill ATK for Colossus Attack" option in the random Reactor options had an incorrect line-break.
- Fixed an issue where the Target/Target Reward Tracker was not updated in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where Bonus Coins were not given to players who reached Battle Pass Season Level 96.
- Fixed an issue where the window appeared abnormally when the player checked Event Information through the "Ingris Search Device."

(4) Shop
- Fixed an issue where certain exclusive Descendant products failed to display their exclusive descriptions.

- Fixed an issue where discounts were not applied to the Growth/Support Packages.

ㄴ Descendants who purchased these products at the undiscounted price will have their Caliber refunded. We will notify you in a separate announcement when the refund is given.

(5) Miscellaneous
- Fixed an issue where the normal attack of Follower Shield Bearer dealt no damage.
- Fixed an issue where some Rare Modules were not displayed in the Mission Rewards list for Other Infiltration Support in some maps of the Hard Difficulty Infiltration Operations.
- Fixed an issue where when the Descendant "Ultimate Sharen" respawned with the "Classic Maid Uniform" Body Skin equipped, the Descendant's appearance was incorrectly displayed.
- Fixed an issue where the first player could not join their allies if they were positioned in a specific location after entering the second room in the multiplayer mode of the "Fortress - Quarantine Zone" Invasion.

12/13 (Fri) – 1/2 (Thu) Results of the Crackdown on Abusive Users

Greetings, Descendants.

Here are the results of the crackdown on abusive users carried out between 12/13 (Fri) – 1/2 (Thu).

We're inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.
Additionally, to ensure a pleasant gaming experience, we are planning to strengthen crackdowns on behavior that interferes with the gameplay of other Descendants, such as being excessively AFK.
If you notice any abnormal or abusive behavior while playing, please report it through the in-game report feature.

Please see below for the detailed outcome of the crackdown.

■ Crackdown status

- Crackdown period: 2024.12.13(Fri) – 2025.1.2(Thu) PST

■ Creation, distribution, or use of unauthorized programs - Permanent game ban (118 users)
- Actions have been taken for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs.



■ Exploitation of all processes related to the Open Store – Permanent game ban (437 users)
- Actions were taken because of unfair gains by exploitation on store payment process.






■ Interfering with other user's gameplay – 3-day separate matchmaking penalty (1549 users)
- A history of repeated interference with other Descendants' gameplay has been confirmed and action has been taken in accordance with the Operation Policy.












■ Notes
- The outcome of the crackdown on abusive users includes enforcement actions taken based on Descendant’s reports and monitoring.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the Open Store's payment process, please visit our official website > Customer Service > 1:1 Support and make your inquiry.
- If you would like to vindicate yourself in relation to a claim on the exploitation of the payment process through chargebacks, please contact the platform store where you made the payment.

January Known Issues

Here are the major issues that were found for The First Descendant in January.

We will continually update this notice with any additional issues and bugs that are found, as well as any impactful issues identified before January. Please keep track of the updates during your gameplay.

[January 2nd]


■ Issue with Discount Not Applied to Growth/Support Packages in the Shop
- We have identified an issue where discounts were not applied to certain growth/support packages available in the shop. This will be resolved through the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.3 patch.
- The affected packages are as follows:
ㄴ Monthly Crystallization Catalyst Package, Monthly Energy Activator Package, Starter Boost Package
- Caliber spent due to this issue will be refunded. Details regarding the refund schedule will be provided in a separate announcement.

[Previous Known Issues]


■ An issue where Valby’s “Tidal Wave” skill deals an abnormally high amount of damage when passing through Colossus.
- This issue will be fixed in the 1.2.4 patch.

■ [English] Mislabeling of Skin Set for male Descendant as "Unisex" in the Store
- This issue is scheduled to be fixed in January 2025. Players who purchased the skin due to this mislabeling can request a refund.
- Details on how to request a refund will be provided in the "January Known Issues" notice when the fix is implemented.

■ Abnormal Display of Event UI through ‘Ingris Search Device’
- An issue has been identified where the event UI is displayed abnormally when accessed through the 'Ingris Search Device.'
- Please note that the event UI displays correctly when accessed via the 'Game Menu.'

■ Stiffness Occurs During the Mining Device Appearance in 'Gluttony'
- An issue has been identified where a stiffness effect occurs during the mining device appearance sequence while playing the 'Gluttony' Interception mission.
- This issue will be resolved in the Hotfix 1.2.3 patch.

■ Inability to Obtain Battle Pass 'Bonus Coins'
- An issue has been identified where 'Bonus Coins' are not granted when clicking the 'Obtain Bonus Coins' button in the Battle Pass UI after reaching Season Level 96.

■ Preview Issue for Default Hair When Selecting Makeup with Certain Head Skins Equipped
- When equipping certain head skins that cover the face and selecting makeup items in the shop, the preview does not display the default hair of the Descendant.

■ Issue with Temporary Visual Abnormalities When Equipping Certain Head Skins
- An issue has been identified where the appearance of a character may temporarily display abnormally when certain head skins are equipped.

■ [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform
- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.

■ Intel CPU Issue.
- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.
This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.
- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.

■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.
(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.
(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.

■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly
- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.

Content Improvements


(1) Balance: Intercept Battles
- Molten Fortress and Gluttony Intercept Battles have been changed to allow for solo matchmaking.
- The following nerfs have been applied to Molten Fortress and Gluttony:
※ If you have not downloaded the Hotfix 1.2.2 update, you may be able to enter the Void Intercept Battle solo without the difficulty adjustment applied. Please make sure to update your game before participating in the Intercept Mission.
Molten Fortress
ㄴ If the beam of a Frenzy Suppressor is linked correctly to another device during the Frenzied state, this device can no longer be operated or changed afterward.
ㄴ Adjusted the spawn timing of Frenzy Suppressors to spawn when the Molten Fortress rises from the ground during its Frenzied state.
ㄴ Adjusted the number of Roly-poly summoned by the Molten Fortress from 8 to 4 during the Normal state and 6 during the Frenzied state.
ㄴ Molten Fortress now enters the Frenzied state less frequently.
Gluttony
ㄴ Adjusted the Impurity to be drawn to Gluttony when they are within a 15m radius of Gluttony.
ㄴ Adjusted the amount of the Wipe Attack Gauge that increases when the Unstable Energy is absorbed by Gluttony from 20% to 10%.
ㄴ Unstable Energy explosions required to cancel the Frenzied state now doubled, making it easier to cancel.
ㄴ Gluttony now moves around the center of the map more frequently.
ㄴ Adjusted the cooldown of Gluttony's Melee Attack (raking the ground with its arms) from 5 seconds to 20 seconds.
ㄴ Adjusted Gluttony's basic shotgun attack so that it can be used at close range.
ㄴ Gluttony now enters the Frenzied state less frequently.
ㄴ Reduced Gluttony's ATK by approximately 47.4%.

(2) Balance: Reactors
- The "Attribute Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Reactors of the same Attribute.
ㄴ The "Chill Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Chill Reactors.
ㄴ The "Non-Attribute Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Non-Attribute Reactors.
ㄴ The "Fire Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Fire Reactors.
ㄴ The "Toxic Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Toxic Reactors.
ㄴ The "Electric Power Boost Ratio" random option can only be acquired from Electric Reactors.
ㄴ The "HP Heal Modifier" random option can only be acquired from Non-Attribute Reactors.

(3) Balance: Descendants
- Adjusted the duration of Active Camouflage when using Ultimate Sharen's skill module "Ambushed" from 4 seconds to 6 seconds.
- Adjusted the cooldown of some of Keelan's skills.
ㄴ Septic Gust: 60 seconds → 35 seconds
ㄴ Tremor: 80 seconds → 60 seconds
- Adjusted Keelan's Skill Module "Focus on Prey."
ㄴ Adjusted the damage per Acidic Decay stack of Tremor.
Lv. 1: 470.3% → 655.5%
Lv. 2: 480% → 670%
Lv. 3: 488.6% → 683%
Lv. 4: 494.8% → 692.2%
ㄴ Adjusted the cooldown of the Void Corrosion skill from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Adjusted Keelan's Skill Module "Mobile Strike."
ㄴ Adjusted the cooldown of the Hunting Time skill from 150 seconds to 55 seconds.
ㄴ Adjusted the duration of the Adventurer's Spirit effect of Hunting Time from 3 seconds to 4 seconds. It is now affected by the "'Skill Duration Increase" stat.
ㄴ Keelan cannot move to a higher position by using the Onslaught skill while the Adventurer's Spirit effect is active. The delay after pressing the skill button has been reduced.

(4) Content
- Added the "Start Private Operation" feature to Special Operations.
ㄴ The difficulty level will not be adjusted according to the number of players. Only the individual/party that has applied to enter will be able to participate in the Special Operation.
- Changed the Sphere mechanic of Commander monsters that appear in the following content to the Monster Extermination mechanic.
ㄴ Kingston: Slumber Vally (Normal/400%), Magister Lab (400%), and Albion Resource Defense (Normal/Hard)
ㄴ Sterile Land: Unknown Laboratory (400%), The Forgottense (400%), Kuiper Refinery (Normal/Had), Repository: Vulgus Strategic Outpost (Normal/Hard), and Kuiper Mine Blockade (Normal)
ㄴ Vespers: The Shelter (Normal), Void Fusion Reactor - Vespers Ruins (Normal/Hard), Void Fusion Reactor - Vespers Lost Supply Depot (Normal/Hard), and Moonlight Lake: Vulgus Strategic Outpost (Normal/Hard)
ㄴ Fortress: Quarantine Zone (400%) and Albion Resource Defense (Normal/Hard)
- Amorphous Material Patterns that can be obtained from the Outposts in each Zone can now be earned as Selectable Rewards in Infiltration Operations in the same Zone.
ㄴ Upon completing a mission on Normal Difficulty, you can earn 1 Amorphous Material Pattern.
ㄴ Upon completing a mission on Hard Difficulty, you can earn up to 2 patterns depending on your total score based on the Kill Score Multiplier.
- Falling or cancelling Grappling Hooks no longer counts as jumping.

(5) UI & UX
- Improved the Library to display the Research progress in the Details based on the actual Research status.
- On PC, opening the Ring Menu now moves the cursor to the center of the Ring Menu.

(6) Miscellaneous
- Added "Quick Turn" as an option in Controller > Normal Button Settings > User Settings.
ㄴ The button for this feature is not included in the Default settings and needs to be set separately.
ㄴ If Sprint is set as the movement option, using the L3 button makes it easier to use this feature.
- When a Commander monster's phase changes, the movement location guide is now displayed for a longer duration.
- The difficulty of the Valby Evolving Skin quests has been reduced.
ㄴ Stage 2: Pass through 10,000 enemies with the Clean Up skill → 3,000 enemies
ㄴ Stage 3: Pass through 20,000 enemies with the Clean Up skill → 6,500 enemies


Bug Fixes


(1) Descendants
- Fixed an issue where using Esiemo's Arche Explosion or Creative Explosion skill during an Emote displayed the incorrect motions.
- Fixed an issue where Turrets could be removed when using Jayber's Reactivate or Immediate Purge Code skill.
- Fixed an issue where Jayber's other skills were not available when using his Reactivate or Immediate Purge Code skill.

(2) Weapons & Modules
- Fixed an issue where the effect of the Descendant Ultimate Module "MP Collector" would sometimes not activate when the module was equipped.

(3) UI/UX
- Fixed an issue where the Owned icons on Descendant portraits would disappear when scrolling on the Usage Information screen of the Common Skins in the Customize menu.
- Fixed an issue where the color change shortcut button was not displayed in the tooltip of the Fellow Skin equipped in the Customize menu.
- Fixed an issue where entering the game through the "Go to the Last Played Map" would reset the Junk Filter.
- Fixed an issue where attempting to check the Details of an equipped Emote in the User Settings menu of the Ring Menu did not display the Details and unequipped the Emote instead.
- Fixed an issue where, after removing a Target Reward, clicking the empty slot in the Target Reward List would freeze the game on PC.
- Fixed an issue where the discount rate was not applied correctly when purchasing Bundles that included already-owned components.
- Fixed an issue where the text "Exclusive Item" was not displayed for some products.

(4) Miscellaneous
- Fixed an issue where the Dread Armor Force did not trigger the trap mechanics normally in the Void Vessel.
- Fixed an issue where the amount of Gold earned on the Results screen of a Special Operation on Hard Difficulty sometimes displayed the amount of Gold owned.
- Fixed an issue where the ETA Intercept Battle, Infiltration, and Supplies Exchange awards were not checked.
- Fixed an issue where your Target Reward gauge would reset if another player obtained your Target Reward item during Void Intercept Battle.
- Fixed an issue where the default skin was not displayed after dismissing the Descendant.

Refund Notice Regarding the Fellow Bundle

Greetings, Descendants.

We would like to provide information regarding the refund process for Descendants who spent Caliber when purchasing the Fellow Bundle, but due to an issue, discounts were not applied
to those Descendants who already owned some of the items contained within the bundle prior to the Hotfix 1.2.0c patch.

■ Refund Recipients
- Players who purchased the Fellow Bundle between the Season 2 update and the Hotfix 1.2.0c patch and already owned some of the items contained within the bundle.

■ Refund Details
- Caliber equivalent to the unapplied discount amount during the Fellow Bundle purchase will be refunded.
Ex) If you purchased the Enhanced Tracking Bundle (750 Caliber) and owned the Hagios Sheepdog, you will receive 385 Caliber.
