Refund for Ultimate Weapon Improvements After Update Info
Greetings, Descendants!
Following the 1.2.14 patch update on 4/17 (Thu), improvements have been made to Ultimate Weapons to improve convenience. When researching while you own identical weapons, the Unique Ability Enhancement Levels will be combined and applied. For weapons with unlocked Cores, you can acquire the weapon with its Core already unlocked.
"Core Binders" used for multiple Core unlocks on identical weapons prior to the update, will be refunded.

■ Refunds for Ultimate Weapon Improvements - Descendants who have unlocked Cores for 2 or more identical weapons will receive the amount of "Core Binders" used minus one (for the initial unlock) via in-game mail.
※ "Core Binders" will be distributed sequentially after 04.17.2025 (Thu) 22:00 PDT. Please be sure to claim them before the mail expiration date.

We would like to share with you a summary regarding the Dev Livestream which took place today. We covered various subjects, but mainly focusing on character balancing, new contents and plans for future update. ■ Character Balancing - Ines Balance Adjustments Ines' influence on the game has grown to a point where it restricts the design of combat systems and content. As a result, balance adjustments have been made. Moving forward, we aim to provide clearer and more timely communication regarding the need and direction of such changes. - Balancing Plans for Serena and Other Descendants Several Descendants require a rework of their skill sets, rather than mere numerical adjustments. In Serena’s case, we have observed that her in-game performance exceeds our initial intentions and expectations. Nevertheless, given that she is the most recently introduced Descendant, and a relatively short time has passed since her release, we have decided to monitor her performance further before implementing any changes. - Balancing of Future New Descendants We acknowledge that newly introduced Descendants with overly powerful abilities have led to ongoing balance issues. Moving forward, we are committed to delivering more carefully balanced content in future updates to ensure a more stable and enjoyable gameplay experience.
■ Content Improvements and System Additions - Improvements to Void Erosion Purge & Introduction of Challenge Difficulty. https://youtu.be/OrTkEgvT6O0 We have released a gameplay video highlighting the improvements made to Stage 30 of Void Erosion Purge. Further refinements will be implemented based on community feedback to ensure more engaging experience. For additional information, please refer to [Dev Note vol.15 – Upcoming Improvements to Void Erosion Purge]. In addition, we will be introducing a new high-difficulty feature titled “Challenge Difficulty.” This challenge enables competitive play among Descendants through a dedicated leaderboard. Players who rank within the top 100 for each Descendant will receive exclusive Honor Rewards in recognition of their achievements. - New System: Medal System A new Medal System will be introduced to visually represent content achievements. Medals can be earned by accomplishing specific achievements, and acquiring the same medal repeatedly will increase its grade and visual design. - External Component Update Postponed Due to low necessity in the current content structure, this update has been postponed. Efforts will instead focus on improving the overall quality of Season 3.
■ Ultimate Blair A new Ultimate Descendant, Ultimate Blair, will be joining the battlefield. Along with his release, a new story episode will be added—unveiling the journey of how Blair gains his ‘Ultimate’ power. This episode captures Blair’s romantic and comedic charm, so we hope you're as excited as we are to experience his unique flair!
■ New External Components & Modules A total of five new External Component sets and two new Modules will be introduced, offering greater build diversity and enabling more specialized role-based configurations. In addition, we are pleased to introduce the Reactor and External Component Enhancement System. This new feature allows players to gradually enhance option stats by utilizing specific materials. With consistent effort, all players will be able to work toward and achieve their ideal setups through dedicated gameplay.
■ Improvements to User-Friendly Features & Support for New Players - Reward Enhancements The Void Shard cost will be removed when opening Amorphous Materials at the Void Fusion Reactor. Additionally, Unique Arche Factor EXP rewards will be added to Hard difficulty Special Operations, and overall rewards in the Sigma Sector will be improved. - Weapon Research Improvements When crafting duplicate weapons, the unique effect will consistently be set to the highest tier. Furthermore, unlocking the core of duplicate weapons will be required only once. For players who have already unlocked multiple duplicates, Core Binders will be returned accordingly. More detailed information will be provided in future notice. - Beginner’s Guide Beginner’s guides will be introduced to help players advance more smoothly through the main storyline while naturally learning key gameplay systems. The structure of the main questline will also be simplified, allowing players to select and prioritize missions based on their preferences. - Mission Structure Revisions Key missions in Kingston and Sterile Land will be redesigned to emphasize combat-focused gameplay. Field missions such as Occupations and Destroy Kuiper will require fewer repetitions or less time to complete. In addition, Ultimate Bunny can be obtained through missions on Normal difficulty.
■ New Skins On April 17, a new universal skin, “Dandy Corn,” will be added. On April 30, the “Albion Academy Cadet” series for female Descendants will be updated.
■ In-Game Event Announcement A 5-week period in-game event will begin on April 17, consisting of daily and weekly missions. Also, everyone who logs in between April 17 to 24 will receive a “Surprise Egg” social motion as a gift!
■ May Update Preview Dynamic Motion, Arche Tuning: Socket System, Void Abyss Intercept Battle: Ice Maiden, Special Operations - Hard difficulty (Echo Swamp/Sterile Land), Party Finding System, view other Descendants' Stats, Core Convert Feature and other more updates.

■ (#2) Issue where Ines’s “Chain Lightning” and “Floating Lightning” skills cannot hit certain objects
■ Incorrect display of item acquisition sources in ‘Special Operations’
- We have identified an issue where the acquisition sources of items obtainable through ‘Special Operations’ are displayed incorrectly when checked via the ‘Library’.
[Previous Known Issues]
■ Issue Where the Descendant Disappears When Entering Photo Mode in Certain Situations
- An issue has been identified where the Descendant disappears from the screen when entering Photo Mode after positioning them against a wall and adjusting the camera so that they are no longer visible.
■ Incorrect Description of Auto Refill Rounds for Vespers Hunting Dog in Languages Other than Korean and English
- An issue has been identified where the Auto Refill Rounds effect for Vespers Hunting Dog was incorrectly described in languages other than Korean and English.
- The description mistakenly stated that the effect applies to the “equipped weapon” instead of the “currently using weapon.”
■ Issue Where Incorrect Fellow is Displayed in the Fellow Spawn Tooltip
- An issue has been identified where the tooltip for the Fellow Spawn item incorrectly indicates that only Hagios Sheepdog can be equipped.
- Please note that both Hagios Sheepdog and Vespers Hunting Dog can equip the Fellow spawn item.
■ Freyna’s Exclusive Quest Icon Appearing for Other Descendants
- Freyna’s exclusive quest cannot be played with other Descendants and can only be progressed with Freyna or Ultimate Freyna.
■ [PS][XBOX] Display of the Top Menu When Clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ Buttons to Navigate to the Homepage
- On the ‘PS’ and ‘XBOX’ platforms, clicking the ‘Go to Web Help’ or ‘Content Creator’ buttons to navigate to the homepage results in the top menu being displayed.
- Please note that, while navigation to other pages within the homepage is possible, actions such as ‘Login,’ ‘Start Game,’ and ‘Enter Coupon’ cannot be performed due to this issue.
■ [PS5] Voice Chat Issue When Creating a Party on PS4 Platform
- It has been identified that voice chat does not function properly when creating a party on the PS4 platform.
■ Intel CPU Issue.
- Crashes have been reported on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs.
- On PCs using these CPUs, the game may forcefully shut down with an error message stating 'Out of video memory' when launched.
This issue can be partially resolved by adjusting power limits in the BIOS.
- We are awaiting a response from Intel regarding this issue, and we are sharing Intel's official response for your reference.
■ Temporary solutions for client termination issues with certain antivirus Programs
- We have requested for exceptions for The First Descendant to antivirus programs, but some have not been implemented. Below are temporary solutions for this problem.
(1) ‘Bitdefender’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions menu, select the file or folder for The First Descendant, and save.
(2) ‘McAfee Agent’ Temporary Solution [FAQ]
- Go to McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, select TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list, and restore it.
■ Solutions for ‘Easy Anti-Cheat’ not functioning correctly
- If Easy Anti-Cheat malfunctions, refer to the FAQ for solutions. If the issue persists, please contact customer support with relevant screenshots.
