IGF Winner! The Forest Quartet takes home Excellence in Audio
A couple weeks back we were in San Francisco for GDC as The Forest Quartet was nominated for Excellence in Audio. Who would have thought this game about life, death, and jazz would make it all the way to the award ceremony - and a winner no less!

Achievements and OST - Next steps for The Forest Quartet
It's been quite a crazy launch period!
Reading the reviews and messages is heartwarming, seeing people enjoying The Forest Quartet and relating to its story fills us with hope and motivation. So, thank you, for purchasing the game.
The Forest Quartet's launch sale is coming to a close, ending December 15th, in the meantime we are working on two things: achievements and an OST.
The OST is made of 7 tracks, featured throughout the game. The original jazz score is composed by Mads' father (Kaspar Vadsholt), Nina is voiced by his sister (Nina Vadsholt, artist name: NV-4), the soundtrack is performed by select musicians from The Danish Radio Big Band based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Forest Quartet is now available for you, the players... to play! Mads Vadsholt, the creator of the game, has spent the past 6 years working on this sentimental story of life, death, and jazz.
The Forest Quartet is composed of 3 acts, each representing the bands emotional response to the passing of Nina, the lead singer. Kirk the pianist has been overrun by a crippling fungus, JB the bassist has plunged into darkness, and Sebastian has been engulfed in flames.
The original soundtrack, composed by Mads' father, is played by several members of the Danish Radio Big Band - a Copenhagen based jazz ensemble. Nina, Mads' sister voices Nina, the protagonist, in her songs.

The Forest Quartet is a story of life, death, and jazz.
In this minimalistic puzzle adventure you incarnate the spirit of a recently passed lead singer. Travel into the minds of the three remaining quartet members to reignite their musical spark as they deal with grief.
In three unique acts, unveil the different emotional responses to Nina's death - depression, anxiety, and anger. With the help of a visually strong foundation, there are no written descriptions in-game.
Here's what you can expect from The Forest Quartet:
Spirit Power: Sing to interact with objects, create light with your fingertips. Glide, float, and transform into butterflies to explore the band members' psyches.
A Story of Life: Live through heartbreak and loss. Recover from grief and restore the band’s musical spark.
A Relaxing Gameplay: No written descriptions or instructions, progressively gain powers for your travels.
An Audio Experience: Environments and objects add unique layers to the soundtrack. Whether it be crackling forest fires or the cold winds from the deep caverns.

Hello! Wow do we have some exciting news
The director and creator of The Forest Quartet, Mads, and Bedtime Communications Manger, Hans, will be streaming LIVE never-before-seen gameplay of the game
FRIDAY 27th of August at 3PM CEST
If you've played the demo (which is available only for a limited time) you know it takes place in the mind of Kirk the pianist. His psyche is taken over by a drepressing and overwhelming fungus.
Well, Friday we'll be showing off a brand new chapter of The Forest Quartet!! We'll be diving into the second act - into JB's mind. No spoilers - take a look at this for a taste of what's in store!
We'll be playing the game, hanging out and chatting with y'all. Set a reminder on Twitch to not miss out!
The people over at Dreamhack are organizing one hell of a festival, where you can play a ton of games. So do check that out.
For this demo, there have been a couple updates! So even if you've played it before, you might want to check out the little things I've been working on.
