Forgettable Dungeon: Update on Current Events

Hey I just wanted to give everyone another update, I keep waiting for good news to share and it just keeps not materializing.

As some of you may know I got very sick after PAX, with breathing and muscle complications. (I still don't believe this to be Covid-19, just a weird coincidence)

Unfortunately the side effects from this just haven't gotten better. Due to complications from being sick my sleep is now greatly disrupted, and now working from a computer randomly causes my chest to tighten up bringing the breathing issues back.

I was hoping this was just a slipped disc and it'd go away but it's sticking around for far too long.

So with all this progress has been slow.

I am still working on the game as much as I can, however I have to try and keep my health as my main focus.

That's sadly it for now. I hope everyone is taking care of themselves during all the crazy events of the world.

Forgettable Dungeon: PAX and Crazyness

Hey everyone wanted to give you a quick update on the games/life current situation.

If you want a more extended writeup of what's been going on, you can read it at the kickstarter page here:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rotondo/forgettabledungeon/posts/2657363

The tl;dr of things is essentially:

  • Bought house, no longer homeless!
  • Bottom floor floods 4" first night we spend in it.
  • Pay lots of money, remove a little mold, partially remedy problem
  • Slowly repair/rip out parts of the house.
  • Try to get back to a somewhat normal dev cycle.

With this development has slowed the past few months, however I'm hoping it's going to speed up once things calm down a bit.

I'm working on an update though, taking into consideration your feedback. If you have any suggestions or critiques please post in the forums. It really helps.

In more positive news I'm going to be showing the game at PAX East this Friday.

Booth number is 31077, be sure to stop by.

Stay tuned for hopefully more normal game updates in the future.

The Forgettable Dungeon: Spooky Changelog

Happy Halloween!

Today I have a special spooky themed update to The Forgettable Dungeon.

The summoner will now appear in the graveyard at night conjuring spooky scary skeletons to fight his battles for him.

If you can manage to beat him you may be able to harness his powerful staff to conjure up some mayhem yourself.

There's also a new tree...?

I'd be careful turning your back to this tree at night.

In lighter news fall has hit the forest in the overworld, and even brought along some jack o' lanterns to light your path!

Beyond these spooky changes I've also fixed a few crash bugs that some people were experiencing thanks to a lot of help from users in the discord.

If you run into any issues, have questions, or just want to say hi be sure to join the discord here.

That's it for now, hope everyone has a nice Halloween!

There's been a few issues that I'm trying to resolve as quickly as I can, some of which are resolved in this patch.

I'm aware that there's a crash glitch that some people have been getting, I'm working hard to try and figure out what the common thread is with this.

If you have experienced the crash or have other feedback please post in the forum or in the discord.
