Update #4 is Here!
Welcome back! After a bit of a delay, the next update is here! This will probably be the last update for awhile because after being out for almost a year, the game has kind of ran its course. I still have several cut things from this update, so maybe there will be be some smaller fixes and updates still!
Post-Processing tweaks
New pickup system
Controller support (Xbox controller only)
A second floor along with a bunch of new rooms
Enhanced end screens
Lastly, I wanna encourage you to check out X-tefer Productions on Twitter! That's where I post updates, ranging from games to books and who knows what else!
Greetings, it's been awhile hasn't it? The last update was on October 7th, which added post-processing, a Halloween mode, and other random stuff.
After that I started on my next project, Streetsweeper Simulator and went back to writing. However, I didn't want to fully abandon this game, so I went back in December and added a few things.
What's in store?
Well, full patch notes will be posted once the update comes out, but for now here's a quick summary!
Post-Processing and lighting enhancements

Well, that's it for now, and see you soon when The Game of Unknown updates on the this month!

Content Update #3 is Here!
Welcome back to The Game of Unknown! Moving kind of got in the way of things and really messed with my original plan. I was supposed to update this in late May/early June and then again in October, but clearly that didnāt happen now did it?
This update is larger than the past two and contains an across-the-board feature list. In fact, that is why even the patch notes had to be presented in this manner, as there is just too much! Letās run by them, shall we?
Post-Processing One of the first things to take notice is the addition if many post-processing effects added, mainly bloom, motion blur, and ambient occultation to really make everything pop! Text is sharper and has shadows on it as well.
Menu Mayhem I guess the real first thing you will see is the newly refreshed main menu, with a new background and clearer text. The pause menu has been improved with all of the cheats being clearly presented on the left side of the screen, and the cursor will no longer disappear unlike before.
School Additions The school has seen a bunch of new additions and improvements. A new hallway has been added, more windows are available, and there is more to see outside as well! Not to mention the Storage Room has seen some improvementsā¦
Storage Room Not only is the Storage Room bigger, but itās also taken on some more damage, with electrified water everywhere! Take care to watch your step, as coming in contact with the hazardous water will result in instant death! The Storage Room is also where you can find the power switch, for those brave enough to navigate the treacherous waters in the pitch-black building will be rewarded with the power being resupplied!
Randomized Spawning Now each playthrough of the game will have certain items spawn in different locationsā¦
Haloween Mode Just a moody reskin of Normal Mode, this mode should sure get you into the spirit!
Misc. Improvements So many random things have been added or changed that it would be pointless to name everything. However, the full list of everything as a list is down below. Some stuff including more responsive running, enhanced particle system, new/updated models, and more!
Again, thanks so much for playing, it really means so much!

Well hello there everyone! First off thank you so much for playing The Game of Unknown and for taking the time to read this post! It really means a lot!
If you have been following X-tefer Productions on Twitter and/or Facebook, you would have already known that work was still being done on The Game of Unknown.
This October, just in time for Halloween, an update will come out to The Game of Unknown. Version 1.03 in fact. It's quite the big update!
Since the game came out on April 7th, we have seen two updates. The first added more to the cafeteria and fixed some game-breaking bugs and glitches. The second improved the Nightmare mode and cleaned up the menus along with some more fixes and improvements.
This time, there is a more substantial update to be seen. Work started pretty much right after the second update came out, but things got a little frantic once moving out got in the way of things. So, what were supposed to be two smaller updates like we have previously seen, were instead combined into one more medium-sized update.
What's in store? Well, work is still going strong, and obviously things aren't completely finished yet, but here's a quick list on what are just a small snippet of things to come!
A bunch of new models!
Improvements to the player while running
Improvements to particles, lighting, and more!
Randomized item spawning š
Things are also planned for updates beyond this one, and it is exciting to think about where this can take us!
Well, that's it for now, until next time when more concrete details can be shared! Rest assured the game is not abandoned, and that this next update can hopefully bring some much needed life into it! I encourage you to check out X-tefer Productions on Twitter so you don't miss any announcements, from either The Game of Unknown or from other things beyond!
