Hello, TGP fans and players! This patch focuses on fixing many bugs, especially ones related to multiplayer and saving+loading. It also adds a fair few items and touches up the default houses. This has been a long time coming, enjoy!

Multiplayer fixes and additions



  • Countless fixes for (multiplayer) saving and loading
  • Reconnecting to a session in progress (both from the lobby screen and after a disconnect)
  • Ready button in the lobby
  • Duplicate aspects no longer break things
  • Random seed is loaded and shared correctly, and already used for lobby randomness
  • Client players can no longer get desynced (disabled on the host’s end) when entering a dungeon
  • Consuming an item directly from the sylladex no longer breaks things
  • Checkboxes for allow duplicate aspects/classes/classpects now work properly

    • Disallowing duplicate classpects now tries to give everyone their most liked instead of least liked classpect

  • Resprited 4 back hair pieces (15, 32, 37, 53)
  • Added missing back hair dyes (2, 7, 11)
  • Fixed 2 back hair half-dyes (6, 28)

Item and Alchemy fixes



  • Ranged weapons correctly take into account accrual and buffs
  • Dutton’s poetry book is now readable
  • Items made through implicit alchemy can now have descriptions and prefabs
  • Order (a || b vs b || a) no longer matters for alchemy
  • Perfectly Generic Objects can still be punched but no longer be used in alchemy themselves
  • Fixed a couple of cases where sprite-altering tags broke things
  • Fix infinite punching exploit


New Chat Commands



  • /gate, to enter a specific gate on the current land
  • /sv-enter, a multiplayer-safe way to make a specific player enter
  • /id, to get your player ID


House Building



  • Floors can now be added adjacent to stairs and existing floor
  • Revise tool now shows a button for rooms as well
  • Bottom floor of apartment houses no longer has broken walls


Modding



  • Adding to asset bundles is now supported
  • Completely custom echeladders are possible again


Other



  • Character sprites no longer sometimes have a strange rotation for a single frame
  • Proper credits page with current and past contributors

Patch 0.5.0-14


  • When someone goes offline, make sure their old client player still has someone building for them
  • Having an empty hashmap modus no longer breaks saves
  • The FRODJ and other alchemy variants of animals now work properly
  • Ranged weapons now work properly in the Lich Queen's room
  • Underlings in dungeons only get grist types associated with the land
  • You can no longer alchemize air

  • Woke up the Lich Queen's underling minions
  • Make the Lich Queen dungeon work correctly in multiplayer
  • Fixed an issue with loading games where a consort has given you a quest
  • Fixed an issue with loading games where you're in a dungeon
  • Added back and fixed Heart's Fluctuate and Rage's Turmoil ability
  • Make the "fight your guardian" quest correctly appear when the game starts
  • For modding: if you add a dungeon to the Complete folder, it will now also still generate normal dungeons

Patch 0.5.0-10

- Loading houses in the house creator is possible again
- Fix ranged attacks and abilities that use the mouse position for targetting not working in multiplayer
- Make "give me this item" quests work
- Make sure underlings get the right grist type in multiplayer
- Giclopses, gremlins and titachnid now get the stats they're supposed to have
- Underling names no longer sometimes have (Clone) at the end

We also added a chat filter, because there were reports of people purposely putting slurs in their lobby names. If it's too strict we'll have future patches to fine-tune it to make sure you can still do a comic-accurate Karkat.

Workshop Support!

If you're observant, you might notice there's now a Workshop tab. You can even subscribe to items, and they'll magically show up in your game! No need to update your game, this was already included in the previous patch :)
This'll give modders a nice, central place to share their work, and everyone else an easy way to use it.

Patch 0.5.0-9


  • Fixed a bug that caused all lands to have nakodiles
  • Custom shirt symbols no longer sometimes show up as '?'
  • The house creator now lets you place more than one of the same item
  • Consort shops now let you buy more than one of the same item
  • The Witch and Maid of Space's abilities no longer leave the target slightly stronger after it wears off
  • Fixed a bug from the previous patch that caused the loading screen to always get stuck if your character is (secretly) wearing perfectly generic objects
