The Hideaway V0.2.0 is here !
Hey everyone ! :) I hope you're all doing well
After several months of hard work, The Hideaway V0.2.0 is now finally playable ! And it's one of the biggest update the game has received at the time
What's new in this update ?
A whole new AI system :I've completely changed the AI system, for a way more efficient, less source of bugs
New animations :All animal animations have been reworked completely and new animations have been added : attacks, sleeping states, idle states, surprised states ...
New sound effects :Many sound effects has been changed from the ones related to the player and the animal ones
New animal beahviours :All the animals in The Hideaway now have their own behaviour, they can Attack you, sleep, be distracted by a sound or a meteorological event, they may hear you or see you depending on the lightning of the scene and the ambient sounds, even be unhappy with your presence or call others
Volumetric lightning : I've now fully implemented some volumetric lightning on all the maps currently available
Post-Processing rework : I've reworked and optimized all post-processing-related visuals
Two new animals just appeared : There are now Wolves and Chickens wandering with you in The Hideaway
A new interactive tutorial : As many players had difficulties to understand correctly how to play the game in Survival mode, I've implemented a complete and interactive tutorial guiding you through all the necessary steps to understand the basics of Survival in The Hideaway
And what has been patched ?
I've patched the majority of the bugs that were reported by players in the last version of the game, however I'm sure that you will encounter some more so join the official discord server to report them ! :)

What about optimization ?
I have tried to optimise the hideaway as a whole as much as possible however some low-end or middle-en PCs could still run into some issues so don't hesitate to report them to me :)

The Hideaway Early Access release delayed

I know that such an announcement is likely to disappoint many but we decided to delay the release of The Hideaway Early Access by two months,
As we received a lot of bad feedback from players and influencers we decided to delay the release of the gam to correst some bugs that are left in the game, implement new evironments and really optimize the older ones,

The Hideaway is coming on Steam !
Hey everyone :) !
The Hideaway in coming in Early Acces on Steam the 31th of August 2022 !
After many successful alpha and beta phases, The Hideaway is now coming to Early Access on Steam ! Featuring new environments, animals and a new building system. We have also reworked the graphical aspect of The Hideaway, from lights and colors to textures.
The Hideaway Early Access will be available to press, curators, youtubers and streamers by August 28, 2022.
