Happy Halloween!
And, should you like any of the artwork from the new book, don't forget to check out our store on Teepublic, when you can find wall art, buttons, magnets, wall hangings and more. This includes the cover art for Return to Wight Chapel, which has been added to the store today.

Grindwheel Games Store on TeePublic
After the closure of our Shark Robot store, we have been searching for a new home for Grindwheel Game merchandise. I have been experimenting with Tee Public during the week, and have uploaded a number of items in new designs to the store:
I hope over the coming weeks I will be able to get art from every game up onto the page, but I am letting people know about this update now, while the items are still in the launch window sales.
At the moment I intend to put up the following for every book:
The full title and word art.
The game's unique logo.
The clean cover art.
Each of the General art pages.
In the future we can look into running polls to see what other artwork people would like to see from each book go into the store. In the meantime, please check out the currently available selection!
Posters Become Limited Edition
Unfortunate news - due to low sales of the posters on Shark Robot, they will sadly be removed from that storefront. I will be looking into finding a way to bring them back on another platform, if possible. But, as this will take time and it not a 100% certain thing, your best bet to get these high-quality prints is to jump in the store as soon as possible.
The posters will remain up until the end of the year, at which point they will no longer be available.
The TATTERED SAILS have been sighted on the horizon. Something unearthly moves through the fog like a ponderous colossi. The stars wheel overhead. Portents are bleak.
Can YOU stand against it?
Plunge into an investigation which sees you journey deep into The Grass Sea in search of treasure, only to find horror and death. This latest case has a lot of subtle pathways which can guide you to AN ending. But will it see the evil vanquished for good, or just sent back for a while? Only your choices can decide the outcome.
Happy Halloween!
Minor Bug Fix – Health Display
Bug Fix – The health numbers on your character sheet were not updating as expected alongside the health boxes when you used medical supplies. This has been corrected.
Grindwheel Games and Sanguine Productions 2: Abyss!
Grindwheel Games and Sanguine Productions have joined forces once again for their latest Kickstarter - Abyss! A supernatural pen-and-paper RPG in which you play heroes who fight terrible monsters from beyond the realm of nightmares.
The game's description is as follows:
"The world has secrets in remote corners. Horrors from out of time. Devils that are out for blood. Monsters that feed upon the helpless, in ways beyond mortal understanding. Only a select few have the knowledge or the power to fight the supernatural, and the responsibility to protect the innocent falls upon your shoulders.
But within every heart lurks a shadow. The forces that cultivate hate, that prey upon greed, that induce fear and terror... they are not just out there, they are within you. Can you fight with monsters without becoming one yourself?"
The project can be found here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sanguine/abyss-the-tabletop-rpg-of-supernatural-action-horror , and as part of the backing options you can pick to add one of the Grindwheel Games titles to your order as an extra. There are plenty of other stretch goals too, so please give them your support!
Spooky Tales for the Winter Sales!
As with last year, I will be posting a piece of short fiction and an unreleased page image in time for the holidays. From now on, however, this will happen with the Winter Sale, when all Grindwheel Game products can participate in the promotion. Please enjoy the story, and have a great holiday season!
Coming Home
Squaring his shoulders, Jessip Kraye walked down the long, dusty road with his head held high. It seemed like a lifetime had passed since he left even though it was less than a month. And, despite all his misgivings, he had returned. It had taken all of his courage, and the plain advice of the old men who worked alongside him in the cannery, but he was finally here to set things right.
He could feel the purse of coins bouncing against his hip, and his hand kept dropping to the pocket where he had placed the small, plain ring of sea-gold. It was not much, but it was what he could afford with his modest wages. He hoped that his sincerity would make up for the harsh words he had said, and his desertion of his lover in the face of the shocking news. He was here to take her back, if she would have him, and prove his worth as a man with his gainful employment in the town of Red Drift.
He thought of how crowded the rented room would become, but pushed the thought away. He loved Annie with all his heart. It was just fear which caused him to run from his responsibilities as a father and leave Falk's Wash. It had been less than an hour before the pangs of guilt had settled in, and he had vowed to make something of himself before returning to propose marriage.
His search for work had paid off, so now here he was. The local preacher had already agreed to wed them – if Annie was agreeable – so now came the hardest part.
Jessip took a deep breath as the Benner inn came into view over the hedges. He hoped that his reception would be a pleasant one. Daydreaming of carrying his bride back home to live a life of wedded bliss, he knocked on the door.
Grindwheel Games Posters Expansion!
As Red Ripper moves towards release, Shark Robot have added the front cover (The Forgotten Victim) to the list of Grindwheel Games posters and prints available now. The cover art for Pale Harbour is still available, as are the covers for Vile Philosophy and Blissful Ignorance.
Today's fix is the removal of several links from the credits page. During the review process for Red Ripper, the build was rejected for containing the links to the voice actor's website and Servicescape, as well as calling for people to visit Bandcamp. After seeking further clarification from Steam it seems that links or directions to other websites can, depending on the content of that site, be prohibited based on the guidelines. Obviously Pale Harbour, Vile Philosophy and Blissful Ignorance passed the review process with these links, but for safety's sake I have decided to remove them in case the websites in question – over which I have no control – ever add content which could cause them to fall foul of these rules.
The good news is that as a result of implementing this change to the credits page, Red Ripper has passed the review stage, and will be available for the planned Halloween launch as expected! Many thanks to the Steam team for working with me on this issue. All of the links and full credits to the people who worked on this game are still available on the Grindwheel Games website, so everyone who worked on the projects are still getting the respect they deserve as well.
