Unreal Engine 5
I am developing the game with Unreal Engine 5, that allows to reach next-gen graphics through cutting-edge features such as: - Lumen Global Illumination: dynamic lighting that adapts to your every move, creating stunningly realistic scenes. - Nanite Virtualized Geometry: a system which allows to obtain an incredible level of detail for every object in the game. Nanite to obtain an incredible level of detail without sacrificing performance.
About my new game
This is going to be a cosmic-horror game focused on story and mystery, with realistic graphics and an immersive atmosphere. In this chilling adventure you will have to face the inevitability of fate while exploring disturbing places, finding clues and studying ancient mysteries. Like my previous games, The Land of Pain and The Alien Cube, the game is inspired by Lovecraftian literature.

H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic horror legacy continues to captivate and terrify. His influence echoes through the ages, inspiring authors, artists and game developers from all over the world. Lovecraft’s macabre imagination has been inspiring for my works too, in particular his ability to place emphasis on the terror of the unknowable and incomprehensible.

Today it’s The Land of Pain’s 6th anniversary and I’m celebrating with a huge discount and a sneak peek of my next game’s work in progress!
I am using Unreal Engine 5 and its latest technologies that allow to build detailed environments and obtain realistic lighting. Vegetation has always been important in my projects and in my new game I am reaching new levels of realism that will make the player feel totally immersed.
This is going to be a horror adventure, so the beauty of nature will contrast the constant feeling of being watched and the increasing fear that the events trigger in the protagonist.

HIDDEN PUMPKINS TO FIND! JOIN THE HALLOWEEN EVENT!
Thegether with The Alien Cube, The Land of Pain gets into the Halloween mood! From October 25th to November 1st, you will have the chance to find some Jack-o'-lanterns in different areas of the game!

Hello everyone! A big update for The Land of Pain is now live!
On September 13th The Land of Pain will celebrate its fifth anniversary and I decided to make some nice improvements!
Here are some of the major changes:
- Enhanced graphics with better rocks, fog and lights. - Some puzzles improvements. - Less backtracking. - Ultrawide support has been improved. - New secrets added.
Also some minor bugs have been fixed.
** Please note that the previous savegames are not compatible with this version; but don’t worry, you can continue from your last checkpoint by using the previous version: - On Steam Library, right-click on the game - Select “Properties” and choose the 2021 version from the “beta” tab
Now I’d like to share with you a comparison before and after the graphics improvement:

I improved the lights and adjusted the fog. I also implemented new rocks and natural elements to add realism to the game.
And for those of you who love to explore, you’ll be rewarded by finding more hidden artifacts! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the secrets. Will you be able to find it? ;)
