THE LAST BLADE 2 developer Youichiro Soeda joins KAISERWAVE for a special talk!
This isn't Soeda-san's first time on KAISERWAVE and it certainly won't be his last!
He's worked on many beloved SNK series like KoF, AoF, FF, SamSho, and much more!
Today he will talk with us about his (albeit brief) period working on THE LAST BLADE 2.
He has even agreed to share with us previously unreleased development documents for LB2 as well!

This will be our first time conducting an interview over the -internet-! I am hopeful it will go well though!

Naturally, we will open the stream up to Q&A so please leave your questions here or on twitter!

THE LAST BLADE 2 NETCODE OVERHAUL
That's right! This new major update to THE LAST BLADE 2 features the following:


  • Code Mystics' unique Rollback netcode (previously featured in SSVS/KOF97/GAROU)
  • Added Stretch option in Border Art mode (stretch game screen to 16:9)
  • Added full-screen windowed mode support
  • Now reports the number of full sessions when there are no sessions available to join in Find a Match
  • New Character Wins Leaderboard submenu
  • Now use standard navigation buttons in the menus when using a Xbox-style controller (A = accept, B = cancel, rather than using game action button mappings)
  • Added "Top" and "Me" options to Leaderboard views
  • Improve option to map digital and/or analogue game controls separately
  • Make a sound when someone joins your room
  • Changed cropping of playfield
