Regarding Slow Loading and Choppiness in Some Scenes
If the game loads unusually slowly or if some scenes are choppy, the culprit may be the shader cache* generated by the GPU driver. Clearing the cache may resolve this issue. If not, try disabling the shader cache.
*The shader cache is operated by the GPU driver, so it cannot be controlled from within programs, such as Hajimari no Kiseki. You will need to clear and/or configure the following settings specific to your hardware.
■NVIDIA GPUs (GeForce, etc.) The shader cache is stored in the following folder: C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache Please delete the files in this folder.
To disable the shader cache, right-click on the Windows desktop, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, and under Manage 3D Settings, turn Shader Cache to Off.
■AMD GPUs (Radeon, etc.) You can delete or disable the shader cache by right-clicking on the Windows desktop and selecting AMD Radeon Software. To delete the shader cache, refer to Reset Shader Cache on the following page: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh2-012
To disable the shader cache, refer to Shader Cache on the following page: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-012
■Intel GPUs (HD Graphics, Iris, etc.) The shader cache is stored in the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Intel\ShaderCache Please delete the files in this folder.
If you cannot see the contents of the ProgramData folder, check View -> Hidden Files in the Explorer menu.
■DirectX Shader Cache In addition to deleting the GPU shader cache above, please also try deleting the DirectX shader cache. Right-click [Local Disk (C:)] in Explorer and select [Properties]. Click [Disk Cleanup (D)] in the [General] tab of the Properties dialog. If [DirectX Shader Cache] is not [0 bytes] on the right side, uncheck the other boxes, check [DirectX Shader Cache] only, and click [OK]. Click [Delete Files] when the Are you sure you want to delete these files? confirmation dialog appears.
If you are using Discord at the same time, the following settings may be affected. Click the gear icon at the bottom of the screen and go to User Preferences and try the following: ・Click on [Audio/Video] and turn off [H.264 Hardware Acceleration] in the settings section. ・Click [Overlay] and turn off [Enable Overlay in Game] in the settings section.
If the above does not help, please also see the information provided here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1562940/view/2942527343050480630
The effectiveness of the shader cache depends on your PC configuration, but if you have a high performance CPU and plenty of memory, disabling it may improve performance. Also, even on the same PC, the status of the shader cache changes depending on the history of the games you have played, so the occurrence of problems may vary depending on the games you play.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope you continue to enjoy playing The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki.

Resolution Settings Fix
The Hajimari no Kiseki Config resolution setting bug in Steam, which allowed players to select an invalid resolution in the Windows 10 display settings, has been fixed. After the fix, the Hajimari no Kiseki Config resolution setting will display a resolution that is lower than those which can be selected in your Windows 10 display settings. If you have selected an invalid resolution NOT shown in the modified Hajimari no Kiseki Config, please reset your resolution. Additionally, if you are using a widescreen display larger than 16:9, you may need to change the scaling settings on your display in order to play the game in the correct aspect ratio. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
