The Low Road recent update includes enhanced gameplay mechanics, and improvements ranging from background saving to reworked voice acting; all added to offer up a smoother gameplay experience.
The Low Road Soundtrack Bundle
We just launched both sound tracks on Steam: Songs On The Low Road by Win Well and The Low Road OST by Eric Cheng. You can pick them both up in The Low Road Soundtrack Bundle at 30% off regular price (oh and there's a 30% launch discount too... so let's just say CHEAP!).
We also just brought one of our classic games to the Steam platform: Defend Your Castle. You might have gotten in trouble for playing the web version of this game in your computer lab or library at school when you probably were supposed to be studying or researching something important. Sorry teachers! If you're looking for a healthy dose of nostalgia hop on over to the DYC store page here:
We’re so thrilled to announce that in addition to Windows and MacOS, The Low Road is available on Linux through Steam! Adventure Gamers stated The Low Road “just begs to be played and enjoyed” and XGen Studios wanted to give Linux users the opportunity to enjoy the game as well. This is our very first downloadable title to support Linux so we’re very excited to reach a brand new audience that may have played our flash games in the early days of XGen.
Since the release of The Low Road on Steam in late July, our point and click adventure has caught the attention of an international audience winning awards for “Best Character Design” at the Game Design Awards in Dundee UK, and “Best Gaming Experience” at the Ember Awards in Alberta Canada.
Thanks!

The Low Road wins Best Character Design at the Game Design Awards
We are so excited to announce that The Low Road won Best Character Design at the Game Design Awards in Dundee UK!
When we set out to create this point and click adventure we knew that the characters would play a huge role in the players' engagement with the narrative. Their personalities came together through a combination of so many skills: the digitally painted figures, witty dialogue, stellar voice acting, and the quirky way in which they moved!
Thank you so much to everyone that has played, shared, reviewed, and streamed The Low Road! You're the best!
