Patch 1.7

We're launching patch 1.7, it has a lot of behind the scenes fixes that should really improve server connections.

1.6 Hotfix Patch

We just released a hotfix patch to address a few issues with 1.6. Restart Steam to make sure you get the update. Thanks for playing.

Bug Fixes:


- Fixed spawning at enemy base
- Fixed being able to pickup flags planted by teammates on Bathtub Bash

Networking Changes:



- Added Mid Game Reservation System
- Fixed a memory leak relating to reflection captures on servers
- Fixed flamethrowers causing network lag and server crashes
- Server browser, Join game and Invites will now request a reservation from a server before attempting to join. This will prevent server full dialogs and make sure the server is reachable by the client
- Join game and Party system now favor player count instead of ping

Gameplay Changes:



- Bazooka does more self damage but is instant kill on direct hit again
- Chat default binding is now the enter key
- Sniper headshot hitbox matches the shape of the characters more closely
- Start without Bazooka ammo again with a cooldown of 45 secs
- Melting Animation is 50% faster and will not trigger in mid air
- Removed exit button from escape menu, too many people triggered this expecting the main menu but ended up closing the game
- Flamethrower damage lowered
- All weapons except rocket launcher have 30 sec cooldown
- Sniper Rifle is now 3/6 instead of 3/3 at spawn
- M-16 slightly more accurate
- Shotgun has slightly more spread

Achievements:



- Achievement backend system rewritten to prevent reset of achievement progress
- Shark position is now replicated to clients to make it easier to get Ride the Shark achievement

Bug Fixes:



- Shotgun reload fixed when jumping on jello in Operation Birthday
- Fixed candles appearing unlit for mid game joins in Operation Birthday
- Fixed chat disapearing

Maps:



- Operation Birthday and Fishtank Frenzy stuck spots fixed
- Prevent the ball from leaving the table on Branyard Ball
- Removed invisible wall preventing projectiles by doughnuts on Kitchen Run

UI:



- Realighed UI elements in lobby screen
- Controller/Keyboard Nav improved for server lobby

Reverting to 1.5

We had some issues pop up with 1.6 after we rolled out the patch that didn't show up during beta testing. We've currently reverted back to 1.5 until we can sort out these issues.

We will try to get this sorted out as quickly as possible and we are sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Animations:


- Melting death animation added
- Improved blending for jump shooting

Networking:


- Temporarily disabled join game (It's currently being reworked)
- Added random vote to server lobby
- Increased timeout to prevent loss of host in case of extreme packet loss

Keybindings:


- Added movement bindings
- Added weapon quick select bindings
Note: This change may effect your current custom bindings

Weapons:


- Rocket launcher now has 60 second cool down
- Rocket launcher direct hit damage is now only 90
- All other weapon cooldowns are also at 30 secs now
- Crosshair is no longer hidden during jumping
- New crosshair for shotgun and flamethrower

Gameplay:


- Persistant ammo cooldown across death for rockets
- Jump shooting enabled (Need Community Feedback)
- Rocket cooldown is now only 30 secs
- Fixed the tan team achievement
- Fixed Burn Baby Burn achievement
- Lowered Burn Baby Burn achievement to 10,000 damage
- Fixed scoring by melting enemy dinosour
- Fixed roadkill achievement
- Fixed sniper achievement
- Increased grenade time/distance
- Health regen up to 100% instead of only 50%

Maps:


- Changed spawn points in fishtank

Networking:


- Added notification that join game is canceling search
- Prevent accessing other menus while join game is canceling search

Servers:


- Asia servers now live.
- Brazil servers now live.

Player Count:


- 8v8 servers

Patch 1.3

Networking:


- Remove party reservations for people who leave server, fixes phantom players not allowing team change
- When returning to lobby clear reservations of those who left mid game so those who took their space are not kicked
- Advanced sorting of the join game sessions so that the player is put into a populated server with low ping instead of a populated server with 200+ ping
- Placed a additional check to clear reservations before kicking players to ensure kick is correct.
- Fixed party leader in party screen
- Lowered player wait timer to 30 seconds
- Lowered match timer to 10 seconds
- Stopped log spam to prevent memory leaking

Maps:


- Barnyard hay darkened so tan players are easier to spot
- Art table stuck spots fixed
- Tabletop small geometry fixes

Patch 1.2

Server Updates



- Added Australian servers.

- Added servers with increased max server player cap for dedicated servers.

- Players can now sort the server list by name, map, server type, ping, and number of players.

- In an effort to lower latency for players in areas where we do not have dedicated servers, players can now host their own P2P servers more easily from the Create Game menu with new dedicated buttons.

- Increased visibility of Join Server dialog in the Server Browser menu

- Join Game now only adds you to servers with atleast 3 players in them.

- Servers will no longer accept more players than their cap.

Gameplay Updates



- Jumping and dodging no longer uses stamina

- Motion Blur and Anisotropic Filtering settings now functions correctly.
