Development Progress

Hi,

I would like to give you a quick update on the development progress of the past months. In the last couple of months, I worked on the new UI assets, and interiors, and integrated all the creature assets into the game.

Unfortunately, I had to take a part-time job in August. As a consequence, I can no longer work full-time on this game, but the development will continue. I want to launch the full-release version before the winter sale.

Hybrid Class Inheritance

Hi,

Finally, the inheritance algorithm is complete for all classes, including the hybrids. This short video shows how it will work in the Full Release version. Offspring appearance is generated based on parents' characteristics. In the next couple of months, I will focus on implementing the new graphical assets into the game.



Insectoid Class Inheritance

Hi All,

The inheritance algorithm of the insectoids is complete. This short video shows how the inheritance of external characteristics will work in the full-release game.

I need some time to polish the hybrid inheritance algorithm, but the next video will focus on the hybrids of reptiles, mammals, and insectoids.


Full Release Hybrid Creatures

Finally, the Hybrid Class for the full release is complete! This short video shows some examples of hybrid creatures. The next step is creating an inheritance algorithm and testing it.

I am busy working on the new hybrid monsters for the full release. Fortunately, the inheritance algorithm for the Mammal Class creatures is complete, so I can show how the inheritance of external characteristics works.

Hopefully, I will be able to post about the hybrids next time.


Full Release Insectoid Species

Hi Folks,

I have completed the new insectoid assets for the full release. This short video shows ten species and their strengths and weaknesses. Now, all three monster classes are reworked, and finally, I can start creating the new hybrid class. This will be a very exciting and challenging task!


Inheritance of Characteristics for Reptiles

Hi All,

I completed the inheritance algorithm for the Reptile Class creatures. This short video is about the inheritance of external characteristics and shows how the offspring will look in the full-release game when you crossbreed two species.

Initially, I planned to post about the new insectoid creatures, but I need more time to complete them. Hopefully, I will be able to show them within two weeks.



Full Release Mammal Species

Hi,

This video shows the mammal species of the Full Release version. I focused on getting as much shape out of the 3D model as possible and slightly rebalanced the creature's traits. I gave the weaker species, such as the rat, better defensive abilities. The panther was too powerful, so it lost the claw attack ability.

I have started working on the Insectoid class creatures. I hope I will be able to show them in December.

Full Release Reptile Species

Hi All,

I am working on the new Mammal class, but much work remains to be done before I can show it. Meanwhile, this is a short video about the species of the Reptile class for the Full Release game.


Full Release Human Characters I.

Hi,

I would like to show the first batch of human character models for the full release. These characters will appear in the quests as enemies. All shields and weapons have new textures, and there will be a new weapon class: polearms.

Spears and tridents will have the highest weapon reach among all melee weapons. This will allow the attacker to inflict damage without risking counter-attack if the defender's weapon is too short.
