<*> Removed Halloween Event

Patch Notes: The Nest – Early Access Update 0.3.5

New leaderboard updates!

  • The Night Level gives you extra points on completion, so if you're tied with someone, you should head over to the Night Level so you can beat their score

  • There was also some refactoring done with how the scoreboards were being instanced, as such, the leaderboards will be reset with this patch. Now's your chance to get to number 1 and take a screenshot before anyone else can overtake you!

  • Added support for non-roman characters. If your language is still not supported, please submit it as a bug report.

Patch Notes: The Nest – Early Access Update 0.2.3 HOTFIX

<*>A bug has been fixed where Ryan wrote the wrong version number on the latest patch notes. Those responsible have been sacked.

<*>Align Nest now resets position to default when choosing "Turn" option. This should prevent issues where a nest which has been dragged a long way and then turned can place the menu out of reach.

<*>A failsafe has been added if a player still finds they are in the wrong position to access menu. Hold down the "start" button for 8 seconds to reset all customizations to the nest position and rotation. (rifle customizations will not be reset)

<*>Adjust Scope Position can no longer remain active in Time Trial mode after exiting the menu.

<*>Opening main menu while end-of-game text is displayed will no longer result in overlapping menus.

<*>Fixed an issue where one robot would occasionally not count towards final score, thus making the level never finish.

<*>Added collision volumes to robots arms below the elbow.

<*>Fixed physics asset constraints so that hands no longer float in space after a kill.

<*>Laser Trace in menu now updating visuals at proper rate.

<*>Dead robots can no longer be shot multiple times to increase final score.

<*>Letters from menu can now be shot for fun.

Patch Notes: The Nest – Early Access Update 0.1.3 MIXED REALITY UPDATE!

<*>Mixed-reality customization: Nest Alignment. By entering the "Customization" menu and going to "Align Nest," players will now be able to move the nest location for maximum comfort and immersion. Try matching the window with a real-world object like a couch or chair, or lowering it to the ground and laying prone. Grab the widget with the trigger and drag it to desired location. "Turn" rotates the environment 90° to the right. "Default Height" allows easy snapping to the intended ground plane, while "Default All" resets all alignment changes.

<*>The Scope has been rewritten! Due to popular demand, and to make our lives easier, the scope has been redesigned. Zoom increments and readout are now more closely tied, and finally make sense. The scope now behaves in a more realistic fashion, while still being user-friendly. This will affect the way the game plays for those who have practiced extensively, but we hope you will like it as much as we do!

<*>Visual indicator for reload cooldown turned back on.

<*>Final score now awarded in Practice Mode.

<*>Taking damage will now count against your score. Accuracy, headshots and difficulty are the most important factors to a good score. (time does not matter in practice mode)

<*>Robots no longer have Blaster arm by default. This weapon will be added in with a special effect in the next patch.

<*>A new "Experimental" section has been added to "Settings" menu. Currently it has a rough version of a 2-handed control scheme. Not recommended yet, but try it if you want a challenge.

<*>Hard Mode robots redesigned. Enemy robots now wear armor that protects the head and chest. Very precise shots to the eye and back of neck can still result in a headshot kill.

<*>The Menu has been reorganized: "Customize" added to main menu, and now contains "Crosshair," "Rifle Tilt," "Scope Placement" and "Align Nest," most of which were formerly in "Settings." "Restart Level" moved inside "Level Select."

    <*>Menu font texture updated.

<*>Menu opening and closing sounds added.

<*>Sound effect added to indicate when scope is at min or max zoom level.

<*>Holding down the trigger now fires repeatedly on cooldown. This may solve a trigger-related problem that we believe varies by hardware.

<*>We've added our first Easter Egg. Good morning, what's your bid?

Patch Notes: The Nest – Early Access 0.1.2

Important: Graphics Settings have changed! If you notice any performance problems, go to Settings > Graphics and find the sweet spot.

Our first patch is live, and contains a few small fixes along with several features requested by the community. It is now much easier to align real-world controller attachments with the in-game rifle, using our new Customize Alignment mode.

Press Start button, go to Settings > Customize Alignment

    - Choose “Rifle Tilt” or “Scope Placement”

    - For “Rifle Tilt,” click up or down on the Thumb-Pad to find a more comfortable tilt angle.

    - For “Scope Placement,” click up or down on the Thumb-Pad to move it higher or lower. Click left to move the scope away from the stock. Click right to move it closer to the stock.

The Sniper Rifle has gotten a make-over. The geometry has been cleaned up significantly and the UVs and textures have finally been redone. Original 15 materials and 45 textures condensed to 2 materials and 6 textures. Additional Skins will be added soon.

Refactored rifle to allow for further customization and additional weapons in the future.

Reconfigured Graphics Settings to allow higher resolution scaling.

    - Low 130%
    - Medium 150%
    - High 180%
    - Very High 200%

Fixed an issue where Robots who shot each other played rifle hit sounds.

Fixed an issue where Robots could get stuck in the roof of buildings, or jump down off buildings.

Try holding side grips and pulling trigger to fire Stasis Sphere. This AOE attack slows enemy actions by 90%, but also causes aggro. 8 Second duration. 15 Second cooldown. Note: This may change in future builds.
