We are very happy to announce that our oldest game, The paribneur Combination is going to be completely remade, in a new engine version, entirily from scratch! Here is the details!
Why are we remaking the game?
We started developing The Paribneur Combination back in 2019, we can confidently say that our skills in game development have improved significantly since we started the project. Rather than going back and trying to update this old and dusty setup of a template-flip, we've decided to remake the entire game in Unreal Engine 5.2. It was previously running in UE 4.27.
When will the remake release?
We expect to release the remake in Early Access as soon as latert this year, or early next year.
How much will the remake cost?
If you already own the game on Steam, you will recieve the upgrade completely for free, consider it a token of appreciation for your patience if you're still around at this point!
In other news, the games price may be bumped up along with the games significant increase in quality.
Update 6 - "Dark Cries" Announcement
Version 0.6 - Dark Cries Announcement Notes
This new version of the game features a smaller overhaul of the core gameplay, showing off a new way we plan for the game to carry the player through the story, however we aim to let the players have a go at theorizing a little about the story themselves, leading to some open ends on the new and previously existing clues in the game!
We are now trying to make the game a little more focused on tasks required to be done for the player to continue, instead of simply walking through the game like before, the player will now face more.. Challenging tasks than just grabbing a key!
We hope to hear some feedback from our players, as this update has been worked on for a while, and we hope all our new features and elements will be noticed!
Additionally, we plan to add support for Mac users with this next version.
New Game Bug Fix
We have now fixed an issue where the game would not allow any player to start a new game or continue an existing one, this issue has been resolved and everything should now work as intended, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
While we were at it we did some general big fixing as well.
(Previously saved game may still be accessible, but might not work with the current version of the game.)
Loop Overhaul Update
The Paribneur Combination has recieved it's first update in a while! The "Loop Overhaul" has, well, overhauled parts of the game, adjusting and polishing everything from map details to storylines and typos in the subtitles. The game now features a larger map, more quests for the player, more secrets, and minor bug fixes. (We also fixed some floor tiles by popular demand)
