The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything now has a weird demo/'studio tour' thing (to be honest I'm not sure exactly what it is, but, whatever it is, IT'S FREE!)
'This 'studio tour' gives players the chance to explore the TPAoE 'set', talk to the 'actors' and see the 'set designers' in action while things are being prepared for paying customers.'
AND - as if that wasn't enough(!) - to celebrate this arguably-somewhat-confusing development the full game will be 30% OFF UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK!
What a time to be alive...
TPAoE v1.2
This patch contains some minor bug fixes, a slight upgrade to the UI and the integration of a weird demo/studio tour thing...
TPAoE Deluxe coming soon...
I have put together a Deluxe Edition package for The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything. It contains the game, the prohibitively experimental soundtrack, the original choose-your-own-adventure story on which the game was based and a build-your-own paper toy based on the character Anthony.
TPAoE Deluxe is currently available at www.TPAoE.com and will be coming to Steam shortly...
Price Update
The main 'weight' of The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything comes from it's story. Only the bare bones of this story are forced on the player via cutscenes and essential dialogues - the rest must be discovered by carefully exploring the world, talking to peripheral characters and examining and interacting with objects in different ways.
This means that, if you don't fully engage with the story, you can complete the game an hour or so quicker than the listed gameplay estimate.
It seems that this is how a lot of people are playing the game. That's fine - I'm not here to complain that people are playing it 'wrong' - it just means that a lot of people are missing out on a large portion of what I think makes this game fun...
Taking this into account, I have decided to slightly reduce the price of the game. Hopefully this new price will better reflect the experience of the Majority of People ;) I would rather leave people who DO fully engage with the story feeling like they have got a bargain, than leave those who DON'T feeling like they have paid too much.
