Presented to you is a clearly fictional world. A comical, cute and colorful adventure. It is a false story. But the people behind it are true.
What do I mean?
This game came forth from a very specific moment in my life. I was in a very dark place, and creating an adventure around my own pain was a method of self-healing. Instead of crafting a library of custom graphics (as I have done extensively for my other games), I decided to use RPG Maker VX.
Why?
Because I want to make a point with this game. This game is fake. It's not real. What's real is the people behind it. The girl. The writer. The world within the game is entirely fictional, and the comical neatly polished RPG Maker graphics reflect this idea perfectly.
Play the game, and you will see the elements of truth, and the darkness that seeps through the cracks of this colorful adventure.
I hope that in some way you can relate to this story.
