Minor fixes

I fixed a couple of achievements that weren't firing and fullscreen for songcraft and evocations.

Crash Fix

Hey,

I fixed an issue that caused the game to crash if you lost your job. Now, the game continues to run. You will still be unemployed however.

Thanks to the people who found that issue, both for the bug reports and for getting that far with the game!

Cleaner Communication of Systems

I recently watched a few more people play The Quiet Sleep and I put in a few small changes to fix issues that these playtesters ran into. I've added the following things:

  • Highlight for the goals menu when there are new goals.
  • Links to goals from the chapter menu.
  • Better indicators for constructions.
  • Indicator for when no focus is being used.
  • Cleaner train menu.
  • Indicator for when a tower runs out of charges and a better explanation of how to recharge.
  • Better indicator of if a building is currently in use.

Improved Tutorial

I just put in a full tutorial for the first stage of the game. Getting familiar with the systems of the game proved more difficult for new players than I anticipated and so it seemed reasonable to help people get started.

Difficulty Settings

You can now change the difficulty of The Quiet Sleep in the settings panel. I also put in a couple of small features to make it easier to start playing the game and removed the thing that made constructions be deleted if they weren't being built because it was weird for new players.

Achievements!

Steam Achievements and Cloud Saves are now live! Additionally, I put in a few performance improvements and fixed the full screen to actually be full screen. Try it out and tell me what you think.

More Playability Improvements

Hey,

I just pushed another small patch to The Quiet Sleep. The highlights are:

- Indicator for when traits have something new.
- Improvements to the all buildings menu.
- Hints for keyboard shortcuts.
- Easier to click buttons.
- Fixed a couple of game-crashing bugs.
- Added a timer to disabled emotions.

Difficulty Update and Other Fixes

I just added a feature to disable the emotions for a while after you lose control so that you have time to recharge all of your defenses and hopefully not lose control again immediately after.

Additionally:

  • Currencies no longer die at the end of the day.
  • More sound options.
  • The game pauses automatically when you set up a train of thought.
  • Emotions animate on death.
  • Better communication of damage.
  • Multiple minor bugfixes.
