Still making refinements to the game! PS4 controller support is next on the radar.
General
Added a prompt to enable co-op from pressing "Continue" on the main menu (previously this only came up when you started a fresh save of the game).
Version number added to the bottom-right corner of the main menu.
Levels
Level 12: Terrain slightly modified to make it more focused on what the player should be trying.
Level 20: This level was featured on a GDQ Hotfix stream that revealed a flaw in the design. After some deliberation, the majority of the level has actually been reworked. If you've already beaten it, I encourage you to check it out again!

Patch 4 and Future Features
Hey everyone,
It's been a little over a month since The Rabbit and The Owl was released! To celebrate, we will be having a week-long sale for 20% off starting at 10 am PST from September 10 to September 17. As a reminder, there is a demo of the game on Steam in case you'd like to try it out first (on the store page on the right-hand side). And of course, as always, thank you to everyone who has already supported the game thus far :)
I also wanted to let you all know a few features on our radar that we are working to add to the game:
Several bonus levels that have been cut from the original game will be re-introduced as free content. They will be unlocked once you complete the base game campaign.
PS4 controller support.
An official guide with a hint/spoiler system to be posted on the game's community hub guides section.
Localization to other languages, starting with traditional and simplified Chinese.
Finally, here are the notes on a small patch!
General
A prompt to enable co-op has been added when pressing "Continue" from the main menu.
A few under-the-hood optimizations have been made that may slightly improve performance.

Demo now available!
Hello everyone,
For those of you who have wishlisted The Rabbit and The Owl and didn't know we had a demo on our website (I admit it's not obvious), the demo is now available on Steam for your convenience! The "Download Demo" button should be on the right-hand side of the Store page. Any progress you make will carry over to the full game should you decide to purchase the full game.
Here are a few more adjustments to the game. Nothing too drastic!
General
Exit game confirmation prompt added.
Levels
Level 34: Fixed unintended workaround to the solution. Slight ambience volume rebalance.
Level 42: Changed the lever to a 10 second timer. The solution remains the same, but this will fix an unintended way to get stuck on the level.
Level 44: Ladder graphic and collider fixed.
Level 45: Fixed an unintended workaround to the solution.

Patch 2 (August 14, 2018)
Hey everyone,
This is a small patch just to fix some things that I noticed while watching some people play.
Levels
Level 28: Removed a useless portion of the level to avoid confusion.
Level 29: Fixed a spot where Owl could get stuck.
Level 31: Slightly lowered part of the level to prevent an unintended solution.

Online Co-op... Kind Of!
Hey everyone,
It has come to my attention that there is an unofficial workaround to playing online co-op with friends. It is not anything implemented natively, but basically you can use an application called Parsec.
Essentially, it lets one person host the game locally and share their screen with other players online. Their input devices are seamlessly integrated into the host's computer so you can play the game as if you were connected to the host's computer directly. There's very little latency as long as everyone's Internet is good.
I was able to test this successfully with both the 1 controller + 1 keyboard setup and the 2 controller setup for co-op.
I've seen this application being used for games like Enter the Gungeon and Sausage Sports Club -- games that do not inherently have online co-op but use this as a workaround. I just caution that I do not officially support it and give no guarantees that it'll work well for you.
Anyways, just thought you all should know that this is a possible option!
There are bound to be bugs or issues that slip through the cracks, despite how much testing we do internally. In an effort to document things, here are the things we fixed in our first patch!
Note: Previous updates were to correct the tiniest of issues, such as slightly moving a respawn point.
General
Fixed camera sizing when the credits roll at the end of the game.
Main menu should now be locked when transitioning between levels (before you could access the menu as things were fading out but then awkwardly be put into the next level abruptly).
Fixed a looping ambient sound effect.
Achievements
Previously hidden achievements have been made visible, with the exception of story-related hidden achievements. These remaining hidden achievements will naturally be acquired as you complete the game.
However, there is one "hidden" achievement that you may or may not get the first time you beat the game, but you can easily get it by messing around in the final level. We consider it story-related, thus it is kept hidden.
Afternoon Nap achievement no longer incorrectly triggers on dark/night levels.
"I'm Not Stuck In Here With You..." achievement added.
Levels
Viewing how people who are unfamiliar with the game solve the levels is incredibly enlightening. However, sometimes we need to fix some things that we notice. Also, we may decide to alter levels in order to fix any unintended solutions that bypass puzzle elements. We still leave the door open to clever solutions.
Level 16: Added prompt to teach how to activate timers for the first time.
Level 19: Altered the environment by shifting some of it to the right. White timer duration has been reduced, but only because there is an intent to the puzzle that players were bypassing. It should still provide plenty of time. Also fixed a co-op cheese solution.
Level 26: Fixed a co-op cheese solution by slightly altering the environment.
Level 29: Altered the environment to fix an unintended solution.
Minor adjustments to level 20, 21, and 32 for speed runners.
Planned Updates
We have a handful of levels that have been cut from the game before release. We plan to polish them up and release them as part of a free update in the future. These levels should be accessible after you complete the game.
We are also thinking of localizing the game to several languages, starting with Chinese (traditional and simplified). There is no set release date on that yet, but this will be the starting point of localizing into other languages as well.

That's all the patch notes for now. Enjoy!

Official release date set for Friday, August 3!
We're very excited to announce The Rabbit and The Owl will release on Friday, August 3 at noon! This game has been a long time coming, ever since development initially started around April 2015. I can't believe it's been over 3 years -- so many trials and tribulations along the way. We can't wait until we can share what we've created with all of you!
