Version 2.04 released
This update makes sure the save/load process is all in UTF-8, so it should no longer have problems with people who have non-ASCII Windows usernames. Apologies for this baffling problem; you'd think this sort of thing would have been universally sorted by now.

Clarification: everything's working fine for the majority of users, and was before too. I'm stuck on what appears to be a very rare bug that's affecting a single user - but if it's messed up for one person, there's probably more people out there who'd have the same problem, so I want to fix it. So you can expect one more patch to sort this out, although in general everything seems to be OK. (I do badly wish all of this was more standardized and less of an unpredictable horrorshow, but then, so do most developers.)

Version 2.03 released several days ago
Changes in v2.03:
- A few books in the library in Afthonia had somehow lost their titles. New titles have now been delivered, fresh from Oneiropolis University.
- A bit of missing punctuation has been discovered under a mushroom and put back where it belongs.
- All of this actually happened several days before this announcement, but it was a busy week that contained birthdays and other mysterious rituals, so someone forgot to post this message.

Version 2.02 released
Changes in v2.02:
- A quantum anomaly in the Logos has been corrected, causing directions to be accurate once more.
- Salmon can no longer confuse the scroll.
- The resolution of the window has been changed to a more rational 1024x768.
- It's spelled "lighthouse", you silly old octopus.

Version 2.01 released
Changes in this version:

- There are now some options for using the portal in fullscreen or windowed mode. You can also use Alt + Enter to switch, as before.
- Torcan has remembered what he wanted to say about Hashim.
- Omar no longer confuses the dialogue menu with multiple identical topics.
- The desert gate in Sadaqah has stopped sometimes losing its description. (We attached it with gaffer tape.)
- A strange creature in another dimension now knows the difference between east and west.
- Saving and loading has changed to prevent a bug involving saving earlier states over more advanced ones. We are hoping this change, which involves deleting old files and replacing them with new ones, will not cause new bugs.
- The save/load system now keeps backups.
- The portal now requires administrator privileges to run, to make sure it can actually save and load.
