The Secret of Gillwood 2.0.
The biggest patch yet for the game is here! A lot of updates have been made to the world and the UI to bring a better user experience and a better flow through the whole game.



  • The main character has been changed to make it easier to see where you are standing and for better visuals.
  • The orbs to pick up have been reworked and are now easier to spot in the world.
  • All Menus in the game have been updated with new pictures and a cleaner Ui.
  • The intro video has been reworked with less text to read.
  • Skip Intro button have been added for players that want to skip the cinematic.
  • Fixed a bug that made all the settings go down to 0 on Quick Loaded.
  • Rebuild the starting area to easier introduce the player to the game mechanics.
  • There is now tutorial text in the start area for new players to learn how to play.
  • Cleaned up parts of the world to make the game more linear and to improve the overall game flow.
  • Removed the Light House explorable area, the light house is now on the other side of the water away from the players.
  • Removed Light House achievement.
  • The first puzzle has been reworked to make it easier for the players to find where to go and progress future into the game.
  • The second puzzle has been reworked a little to give the players more choices and make it easier getting started.
  • The fourth puzzle have had some small tweaks because players could get stuck behind barrels.
  • The fifth puzzle now has a pole in the middle for the players to save on.
  • Fixed some flying trees, rocks and grasses in the world.
  • Increased the overall light in the world to make it easier to see in the game.
  • All lamps have been updated to enhance the world.
  • End cinematic have been updated to make it shorter and easier to read.
  • Locked gates are now easier to see in the world.
  • New game logotype
  • The store page has been updated with new art, trailer and information.

The Secret of Gillwood is getting a big update this week that will improve a lot for the players!
We start the week with a new logotype and artwork, later this week there will come updates to the game. Updated Level Design, updated platforms, Ui, Menus and much more!

We have now released a small demo build for The Secret of Gillwood. This build lets you play the first part of the game for free!

This will help players get the feeling of the game and help them decide if they might like the game or not.

Patch 1.1 "Gameplay Improvements" 2019-04-01
Patch 1.1 contains the following changes and updates!


  • Added more light sources to the starting area
  • Quick Save Cooldown has been reduced by 50% from 15 sec to 7.5 sec
  • The Intro Cinematic has been updated and now shows Features in the game!
    Quick Save, Quick Load, Sprint and Sneak.
  • Fixed spelling errors and reduced the length of the intro
  • End Cinematic spelling errors and better text have been implemented and Credits video is now shorter
  • Bug fix!
    Game Icon now shows the real Game Icon and not Unreal Engine Icon

After 4 years of working on and off on this game, the time has finally come! Our small single player game The Secret of Gillwood is now live on the Steam Store for all of you to enjoy!
