The Slimeking's Tower 1.5 update is coming this 25th of May 2018 introducing new content and features:
Many secrets to discover.
More than 50 new items.
New enemies and bosses.
New rooms, with bigger layouts.

Hi there slime slayer,
I will be direct about this, online multiplayer is getting delayed with no ETA for now. The Slimeking's Tower was created as a single player experience from the very beginning, and it's being under development for about 4 years now, this means that it's optimized to work as a single player game, and as you might have heard before, adding multiplayer to a singleplayer game is no easy task.
But multiplayer is so cool, so I worked hard during months to bring online multiplayer to The Slimeking's Tower, and I actually did it, as shown in the video that I'll leave below. It took a really (and I mean REALLY) long time to get every item (+ synergies), character, pickups and enemy working, and every element works flawlessly on his own, but when you put everything together this happens:

You might notice some stuttering, wrong colors and missing fx, but that's just lack of polish that was supposed to be added these days. The real problem are the desyncs, you can notice at the very beginning of the video that some monsters stop moving for a split of a second then continue and despite looking really bad, that could be "easily" fixed with some smoothing, but the real problems start when a lot of stuff is happening on the screen.
At about 1 minute into the video you can notice some severe lag and the desyncs start to happen, leaving some monster bodies behind in the guest screen (the right one) while they are dead in the host screen (the left one). I won't go into much details about why this happens, but that's why I said earlier that this game wasn't thought with multiplayer in mind, so the engine is very good working with everything that happens on the screen, but it's atrocious telling what's happening on the screen to another player, it needs to send and receive tons of info and it's just not able with keeping the game in sync.
So this it's not a f*** multiplayer, it will be added to the game at some point, but that requires a major rewrite of the game's code, which is really time consuming and this game is developed only by myself. And a lot of cool stuff is planned like the RPG Mode, which takes priority by now over the multiplayer.
And that's all, I'm really really sorry to write this, after working on multiplayer for many months now, but it's just the way it is.

The 1.5 update of The Slimeking's Tower is almost finished and it will be available pretty soon. I don't want to throw spoilers yet but here's a small resume of what you can expect:
Online Multiplayer BETA.
New environments to explore.
New characters to unlock.
A new set of items to get and experiment with.
New enemies and bosses.
Several QOL upgrades and graphics updates.
New secrets to discover.

Hotfix 1.4.12 [06/09/17]
LOCAL MULTIPLAYER
Now all players can use their own controller and the player <1> is no longer forced to use the keyboard.
When a secondary player loses connection with its controller, it will despawn.
Holding button for 3 seconds will despawn the secondary player.
A secondary player won't spawn randomly when pressing anymore.
CHANGES
Full controller support: You can now navigate through the game without the need of mouse and keyboard.

Local Multiplayer was added: Press button on a controller for 3 seconds to spawn the second player. Both players share health and items powerups.
Fairy Wings, Fake Angel Wings and Demon Wings now grant flying to the player.

Ingame's item viewer now has a "Next page" button.

Enemy bullets speed has been increased.

The player's scale won't go below 0.25 anymore.
Scythe's sound won't overlap anymore when hitting jumping enemies.
Rabbits won't jump to oblivion anymore when the game is paused.
Lazer sounds will stop when moving out of the room.
Daily mode no longer teleports you to the next level when killing Slimeking.

Language can now be changed on game's properties on steam.
BALANCE
Decreased the speed bonus of "Explorer Belt" from 1 to 0.5.
Hitbox mask of throwable skulls have been slightly decreased.
RESOLVED ISSUES
Items can't be used in the pre-boss screen anymore.
Screenshots can now be taken at any moment and not only in-game.

Every adventure run has now a fixed seed that can be used to replay the run.

Decreased default bullet speed from 5 to 3.5 to make range more valuable.
Decreased default bullet shoot rate from 5 to 4.5.

Enemies that are pushed out of the room will now die instead of getting stuck.
Touch controls disabled.
Stairs mask has been reduced.
Gangslime is now vulnerable when the gang has died.
Using the item "Lazer Beam" could crash the game under certain circumstances.
Game's window can now be resized and there's a fullscreen option in the ingame menu.
Gamepads can now properly map the button.
Scroll wheel can now be used to navigate through item and pet lists.
Escape function in the in-game menu will teleport you to the initial room.

Despite being in a beta phase for a long time, and with the high amount of content and character+items combinations, it's likely that some bugs will come up and that's the reason of the game being in early access for a year.
