The Station

Prepare for Boarding

Hello everyone!

It's my pleasure to announce that The Station VR is now published and ready for your pleasure..

We had the pleasure of working with Virtro Entertainment to bring the virtual reality version to life and we're so proud of this collaboration. As most of you know, building a game in virtual reality is a massive undertaking and requires a complete overhaul of the project. Many of the sequences, assets and scripts had to be redone and this is why it required a separate product.

We're so excited for you to experience the game in virtual reality!

The Station is coming to retail with a deluxe version!

We've kept this under wraps for as long as we can bear it - we're coming to retail! Working with a publisher out of the UK, we're going to release a Deluxe version of The Station which includes so many goodies such as:

- A digital environment and art development manifest
- Complete copy of our game design document
- The full soundtrack to the title
- A copy of the script with commentary and discussion on the narrative
- Art collection and download code for a ton of art and wallpapers

We don't have a hard date yet but rest assured - we'll update you on it when we have the date locked in.

German & Italian

Hi guys!

We're pretty excited to announce that German and Italian are now live!

There were also a number of bug fixes that went into this patch as well but that's not as interesting as new languages.

If you see any concerns with the translation, formatting or encounter bugs, you can let me know in here and we'll get them fixed!

French, Spanish & Russian are now live!

Hello!

We're so excited to announce that French, Spanish and Russian are now available!

Huge thanks to the fans who worked with us on these translations and if you're a native speaker we would seriously appreciate your feedback or suggestions on how we can improve the translation. We've created a special forum post here for any feedback or edits you might recommend.

German and Italian are coming next!

Free Explore Mode is Live!

Hello and good morning!

We're excited to announce that the Free Explore Mode is now live!

If you missed an audio log, skipped a room or want to solve the mystery players can now go on-board and explore the Espial without impediments. Puzzles will be disabled and locked locked doors will now be open for your exploring pleasure.

Welcome back!

Upcoming Features & Patch Notes B1.53.1

Hi everyone, last night we pushed a new patch live for a few bugs that were discovered.

Upcoming Features

- Localization. We're currently translating the game into Italian, Spanish, French, German, Russian and Portuguese.

- Testing a "Free Explore" mode so players can explore the Espial without the puzzles or locked doors blocking them.

Bug Fixes

- Adjusted Occlusion code to hopefully prevent occlusion issues from occurring again. Very rare cases of occlusion were reported.

- Magnet tool no longer disappears when it is brought out of maintenance

- Fixed Kevin Elliott's name in the credits, and made the title screen credits match the end screen credits. There were some formatting changes that hadn't been applied to the title credits last time.

- Fixed bug where switching to left handed controls while using mouse locked player camera rotation.

- Tweaked the floating object code to be a pinch more efficient, and to potentially solve the "floating fruit" issue reported.

- Removed the glass door open sound that happens certain time after the players leave the ship in the Entrance.

- Dropped the sound level of the Main Title screen music and the Intro Cinematics 3db.

- Increased the size of the trigger volume for the "Aiden, get to the escape pods" sound trigger
in the upper hallway

- The sound files for the 3-switch touch screen in Engineering now don't have clicks.

- Removed the redundant click sound from the touch screen in the Bridge.

2 Days After Launch - Thank You!

My friends, I can't say how thankful I am for the welcome you gave The Station on Steam! I'm blown away by the support, reviews and messages that you guys are sending us!

We're so excited to see the positive reviews and we're so glad The Station is something you enjoy! After 3 years working the project I can't express how much it means to know that The Station has been well received. Again, thank you.

Here's What's Next

1. Right now, our first priority and focus is patching some gameplay bugs to make sure the player experience is smooth. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent us notes on bugs that they noticed - we're going to get these patched immediately. If there are any you experienced, please let us know in our forum page.

2. We're looking at the potential of localizing The Station into some of the major languages. Once we have a reliable and stable framework, we can begin the process of bringing more languages online. Please vote in the forums on which ones you want to see!

3. A "Free Explore" mode is in the works where once you have completed the game, you can freely explore the rest of the station to review some of the mystery elements you missed or weren't clear on. We're aiming to patch this in a few weeks.

4. I can't give details yet, but we're excited about sharing news about VR soon!

For those who have experienced the story thank you for coming onboard. For those who have yet to find the time, we'll see you onboard The Station.

3 more days

We're incredibly excited to welcome you on-board in just 3 days. To celebrate we have prepared a final gameplay trailer which will be published on launch day.

All aboard!

Dev Update. February 7th 2018

Hey everyone, welcome to our dev update for February 7th, 2018!

In less than 2 weeks The Station will be in your hands. There has been no time for rest - below is a break down of what we've been up to:

- Last week we completed our release builds for consoles and are doing the final dressing for you with testing ongoing right until release.

- Finishing touches on all of our development documents that we're wanting to make available to you. The one we're most excited about is our game GDD (Game Design Document) which discusses each decision our team made to produce the final version of our game. It's not often that studios will release one of these but you'll have full access through our steam store.

- Soundtrack mixing. The sounds of The Station are be composed into a soundtrack that will ready for download on our Steam page on release day.

That's it for our for this update, our next one will be the last before our official release!
