The Technomancer unleashes its Launch Trailer and is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will be available both for download and at your favorite retail store.

You are a Technomancer, a warrior harnessing, thanks to an innate talent, destructive electrical-based powers, amplified by your cybernetic implants. Both respected and feared by all, Technomancers are fearsome warriors trained from a young age to fight. You are one of them, about to finally pass your initiation rite to become a fully-fledged Technomancer.

Combine three different fighting styles with your Technomancy, a supernatural control over electricity, to fight your way across the Martian deserts. But, as illustrated in our "Survive on Mars" trailer, all situations aren't necessarily to be dealt with brute strength. Choose between combat, diplomacy and trickery to resolve quests. Gain experience to level up your character, and learn new skills or upgrade perks across 4 unique skill trees. Loot, buy and craft more powerful equipment and weaponry for yourself and for the companions you will recruit along your adventure, and with whom you will nurturing relationships.

On the run from the Secret Police and confronted by the harsh realities of the Red Planet, you must undertake a quest that takes you through forgotten paradises, cities lost under the ice, and dystopian shanties sprawled across Mars' dusty embrace. Faced with the cruelty of Mars' iron-fist enforcers and alien wild-life, can you survive long enough to forge the destiny of Mars?

The Technomancer is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

How to Survive on Mars

We previously showed a Gameplay Trailer giving you an overview of the gameplay mechanics of the title, as well as a Companions Trailer showing all the interactions and relationships you can build with your teammates.

Today, we're unveiling a brand new video that will teach you How to Survive on Mars.

With its terraforming aborted hundreds of years ago, and a murderous sun to boot, the Red Planet isn't exactly a hospitable place, and every nook and cranny of the forsaken planet holds deadly, lurking threats. Just like these hybrid creatures roaming the canyons of Mars, originally bioengineered by the first settlers from the genetic makeup of animals found on Earth.

But the other human survivors can be just as dangerous. Ever since Mars got isolated from Earth, multiple factions have risen, desperate and determined to secure whatever power they may get hold of. You will be able to befriend these factions depending on your actions and your choices throughout the story.

Hopefully, you have all the tools to survive this harsh environment. While a diplomatic or a stealthy approach can be the best choice to escape from a perilous situation, sometimes combat is the only way, and the use of your devastating Technomancer powers will be crucial.

Each of your powers can be upgraded by spending points in the skill tree, but they also all have access to two mutually exclusive upgrades, changing the way the power behaves. These upgrades, coupled with your handpicked special talents and choice of equipment and crafting components, will heavily influence your combat strategy, and overall playstyle.

Your technomancy powers compliment your chosen combat stance: fight with the Staff, the signature of a Technomancer; with a blade and gun, the mark of a rogue; or a mace and shield, the weapons favoured by soldiers. Just like with technomancy, each of these three stances has its own skill tree, where you can gain new skills, but also improve them through different upgrade paths.

Upgrading your arsenal is equally important. You will find, loot and buy better weapons and armor. Each has its own bonuses, and some also have crafting slots, allowing you to further improve their stats according to your preferences and playstyle.

You’ll be able to improve damage, resistance, as well as add various special effects such as disruption, resistance to specific damage types, energy regeneration, and more. Improving your crafting talent and learning new construction plans will let you craft more powerful gear.

Gameplay Trailer

We're pleased to introduce you to the universe of The Technomancer and delve into the heart of the deep Sci-Fi RPG experience.

You play as an apprentice Technomancer, Zachariah, who represents one of the powerful corporations warring for the most precious resource on the red planet: water.

The Technomancers are formidable warriors, harnessing destructive electrical powers that are channeled through their implants. Your adventure will take you on a journey across Mars, where each decision you make bears consequences.

The Technomancer is a roleplaying game at heart and it starts from the character creation screen, where you will customize your appearance and make your first character development decisions.

During the 40 hours of quests, you'll earn precious experience points, that will let you further develop your character through 4 skill trees tied to 3 different combat stances and your technomancer powers.

These will help you face the many dangers of Mars: other human survivors and mutants, as well as the numerous hybrid creatures bioengineered by the first human settlers.

You will also learn talents that will be useful during the exploration phases. Along your journey you'll recruit many companions each with their own story, behaviour, moral code, special quests and talents, that assist you in combat as well as exploration.

Steel yourself and your companions with better armor pieces and weapons, and further improve your equipment with the crafting system. All along your journey, you'll create a unique hero (or anti-hero) and story that reflects the choices, friends and enemies you made.

Meet The Technomancer’s Companions

In The Technomancer, you’ll need strength in numbers to survive the hostile Red Planet.

Not everyone on Mars is out to do you harm. Over the course of your adventure, you’ll gather a ragged band of companions to fight at your side.

To overcome the many dangers that lie in wait, you’ll need to arm your party with crafted and looted equipment. Build relationships with your companions – but remember that not all will look fondly on the actions and choices you make.

When out exploring or fighting, you can select up to two companions in your party to join you. Choose carefully, as they each have their own unique fighting styles to complement your own.

They can also make use of special talents, such as crafting, scientific knowledge, or lockpicking. Picking one companion over another has a significant impact on your experience in The Technomancer – not only in gameplay, but also on the story itself.

Build Relationships, Earn Trust

Your companions all have their own agendas and preoccupations. They’ll ask for help and favours. Should you decide to accept their requests, you will trigger a special series of missions that let you learn more about their past. These personal quests add numerous hours of gameplay, improve relations with your companions and enrich the main story.

Your companions level up alongside you. Each gets their own inventory from where you can modify their gear at any time. If you decided to level up as a crafter, you can even upgrade their equipment using your skills. This will ensure that your party is always performing at their best with regards to survivability and lethality.

The choices you make on Mars will not only change the course of the planet, but will affect your companions as well. If your decisions consistently upset a member of your group, they may leave you behind. On the other hand, impress them enough and friendships or romances can blossom.

With Friends Like These…

Mars isn’t a world that rewards honourable deeds. Few heroes lie in wait amidst its arid, red sands. Your companions are flawed, and each have their own motivations for joining your adventure.

Scott is one of Zachariah’s oldest friends. He is a scientist, doctor, and eccentric who suffers from a crippling alcohol addiction.

Amelia is an expedition driver with a lot of experience on the road. Adventuring is in her blood, so she loves to learn about lost cities and relics from before the Turmoil.

Phobos is a strong and powerful mutant who only desires for his people to be united. Unlike most mutants, he is well-educated and sees a light wherever there’s darkness. The passion he has for his people is unrivalled, so it would be a bad idea to mistreat them in his presence.

These are just a few of the many companions you can potentially recruit on your journey across the Red Planet. Some will be assigned to you unwillingly, others may join because it benefits them. Whatever the circumstances, their future, and Mars’ destiny, is in your hands.
