December is fast approaching, and you're probably wondering what's on UB for the end-of-year festivities.
■ GUILD QUESTS
The main new feature of the last Update is the introduction of the Guild Quests!
On the same principle as the daily quests, each Guild will receive 3 quests per day to recover XP, as well as "Guild Tokens" for each Nub that participated in the Quests.
From your Guild's Menu, you can observe the three ongoing quests, their progress levels and the rewards related to them:
-The XP earned by a quest is only assigned once to your Guild, regardless of the number of participants.
-The number of Tokens earned by a quest will be offered to all players who participated, so each player has his or her own Guild Tokens wallet.
-Unlike the Daily Quests, your 3 Guild Quests must be completed in order to have 3 new Quests the next day.
-There is now a "Rewindoguildoquest" item allowing you to receive 3 new Guild Quests.
-It's always possible to exchange a quest per set, that is to say that once the change made, you must imperatively finish the 3 current quests before being able to change them again (unless you use a "Rewindoguildoquest").
In addition to the Quest page, a new "Rewards" tab has been added to the Guild Menu, so each member can pick up any of the available rewards, based on their number of "Guild Tokens", and the level of your Guild.
/!\ Warning: Almost all of the items obtained as Guild Rewards are untradable.
Guild Tokens are linked to your Guild, so be sure to spend your tokens before leaving a Guild, in which case your token count will drop to zero.
Some items can only be obtained once your Guild has reached a specific level.
■ ADVENT CALENDAR
As every year, you can collect one item per day by connecting to the game from 1st to 25th of December included.
The calendar will be available from the Main Menu, just click on today's date to receive your daily gift.
All calendar's rewards are untradable.
You will get different gifts, from classic items to Christmas skins, and the "Ice Tokens" as well: which will be used to choose from different prizes during the Christmas event to come.
■ CHRISTMAS EVENT
From December 15th to 29th, you can enjoy the Overmine and Moon maps in the snow, as well as special rewards redeemable for Ice Tokens.
From the Main Menu, you will be able to get several exclusive prizes using your Ice Tokens: Christmas Rune, hats, accessories, etc.
How to get Ice Tokens?
-In the advent calendar.
-In end-of-game rewards.
-By ending a daily quest.
-By participating in a Guild Quest.
-When picking them up during games.
Unused Ice Tokens will disappear from your inventory once the event is over.
■ FANART CONTEST
As is the tradition, we are organizing an end-of-the-year FanArt contest!
The theme remains classic: Nubs' Christmas, or the end-of-year on UB.
To participate you just have to post your work on the Steam Community Hub, indicating "Christmas 2017", and without forgetting to specify your username on UB.
You can also send us your creations on support@ediogames.com, indicating your nickname in game.
We accept all participations until the end of the year, the results will be announced during the month of January.

Players reaching the podium will win exclusive items of Christmas 2017, in Reward quality.
Even if you are not part of the winners, you will still receive a jewel and a Tissue in Reward quality.

One last thing before you get rid of this particularly long article: We know that with the multiplication of ways to obtain untradable items you risk to have some untradable duplicates.

Guild Quests
Each Guild now has 3 quests simultaneously.
These quests are shared by all members of the same Guild.
When a guild quest is completed, the Guild gains XP bonus and all attendees earn Guild Tokens.
These Tokens can then be redeemed for items in the new "Rewards" tab of your Guild.
Unlike daily quests, the guild quests are reset each day only if they have been completed.
This means that if at least one of the guild quests is not completed when the quests are reset, they are kept to give the guildies time to finish them.
Warning, when leaving your Guild, all unspent Guild Tokens are removed from the inventory!
Automatic guild recruitment
It is now possible to activate automatic recruitment for your guild.
This means that any player will be able to join your guild simply by clicking on the "Join" button visible on the Guild page in the community.
Misc
You can now earn a Hat Chest by following The Ultimatest Battle's Steam group
Added 10 new daily quests
Added the guild permission "Manage quests": allows the player to modify guild's quests and the use of Rewindoguildoquest

■ Coming on UB
You are probably aware that we propose each year an Advent Calendar for all our Nubs! And the year of our release on Steam will not depart from this rule!
As is the tradition, from December 1 to December 25 included you can get a gift per day by simply logging on UB.
Log in and access the Calendar from the Main Menu, then click on the box corresponding to today's date and get your Ultimatest Gift :D
Items offered in the Advent Calendar will be, and will remain untradable.
Ice Tokens, which you will sometimes get in the calendar, will be used to be exchanged for different items during the Christmas event that will arrive in the course of December!
You will notice that the Community page has been revisited, so that you can more easily search for friends or Guilds.

Halloween Event
Until November 13th, recover Vertebrae Rings by playing and completing your daily quests.
You can then exchange these Vertebrae Rings for Halloween items.

Custom servers
It is now possible to create your own server by choosing the maps, number of players and eventually a password.
Custom servers are hosted on our physical servers, as close as possible to your location.
It is possible to launch only one server per person.
A server is shut down only when it is empty for several seconds (you will not be able to launch another server as long as players are present on a server that you have previously launched).
Note that this feature is in beta and may be unavailable at any time.
New CK Weapons and Legendary Hats drop rate
Chances of getting a CK weapon or a Legendary hat have been changed. Each time you open a Rune, if it does not contain a CK or Legendary, the chances that the next rune will contain are increased.
Weapon balances and changes
Bazookarton: now has 5 clips (instead of 6)
Ram Shield: slows the target for 3 seconds (in addition to launching the target)
Sugarcane Blowgun: gives 1 critical strike bonus to the target (in addition to the speed bonus)
Machete: critical hit rate is now 1/50 (instead of 1/5), damage passes to 40 (instead of 45), inflicts bleeding for 4 seconds on each shot (instead of only on critical hit )
Shovel-Mass: the right-click cooldown changes to 4 seconds (instead of 5)
Kaptain Karnage's Shield: the weapon can now make critical hits
Random Shield: reduces damage from -50%, 0%, 20% or heals 25% of the damages (instead of -50%, 0%, + 50%, + 100%)
Wasabi Gas: the weapon can now make critical hits
Healing escape: now removes the slowdowns and immobilizations (except traps and net) of the Ninja
I Rule Bow, Bat, Shovel-Bat, The Log: right click's critical hit damages are correctly calculated
Mamy Karnage's Bazooka: the number of clips decreased to 10 (instead of 20)

Brace yourselves, Halloween is coming!
We wish you all a frightening October month and we’re going to tell you immediately what we will have in store for you for this Halloween event 2017.
■ Event Halloween
Period : from October 20th to November 12th.
Theme of the year : All Souls’ Day (Dia de los moertos).
Once again, this year, you can get your fill of exclusive new items playing during the Halloween period.
~Event sequence & rewards.
From October 20th to November 12th inclusive, you can get "vertebrae ring" in different ways:
- As a reward for successfully played a game.
- Completing each of your daily quests (rewindoquests will grant you 3 additional quests).
- Killing your ennemies will sometimes award you an extra vertebrae ring.
From the main menu, you will have access to a special Halloween interface to exchange your vertebrae rings for chests containing a “cursed item”:
- The Ominous chest (accessory) enables you to get one of the 4 new accessories, in “cursed” quality.
- The Ominous chest (hat) enables you to get one of the 6 exclusive hats of this year, in “cursed” quality.
- The Old Ominous chest enables you to get one of the previous Halloween accessories, in "cursed" quality too.
Still in the interface where you can get your rewards, you will notice that 3 prizes out of 6 can be exchanged for “Acid Cauldrons”.
But what is an "Acid Cauldron" ? And what is the "Cursed" quality ?
An item with a "Cursed" quality can be used to get an "Acid Cauldron".
WARNING : Once your “cursed” item is turned into an Acid Cauldron, it will be definitely lost.
The “cursed” tiems will lose their quality after the event, however they won’t disappear from your inventory.
As a matter of fact, you can decide which item you want to keep and which one you can get rid of to get the rarest items of the event.
Here are the three tiems you can exchange for your "Acid Cauldrons" :
-The new title special Halloween (limited to 1).
-A Nightmarish Chest (limited to 4), containing one of the following items :
.Une Rune Halloween 2017.
.The new familiar "Lil' Casimor", in authentic quality.
.A festive item "Darktifice rocket", in authentic quality.
.The new "Sylvester Grave", in authentic quality.
-A Halloween chest 2016 : enables you to get 2 Halloween hats from last year,
or a Halloween chest 2015 to go backward in time!
You will always be able to exchange your vertebrae rings and your acid cauldrons until one week after the end of the event.
After this deadline, the "cursed" items will lose their quality and the Vertebrae Rings and acid cauldrons will disappear from your inventories.
The special modes
During the event period, you will enjoy the Zombie and Versus Boss modes.
-The Zombie mode: Play survivors and try to survive until the end of the time limit.
A survivor killed while fighting will resurrect in the Zombie team and will have to overcome his former allies to win the fight.
-The Versus Boss mode: A player embodies the Boss and all the other players must get rid of him before the end of the time limit.
The two available bosses are "Casimor, the giant Zombie" that you will fight on the graveyard map ; and "Granny Karnage" that you will meet on the furnace map.
Please refer to the game tutorial for further information on these bosses.
■ The Halloween Rune 2017.
Available in one copy in the Nightmarish chest, the Halloween Rune 2017 will be also purchasable on the shop during the whole event.
In this event rune, you will be able to get one of the exclusive Halloween 2017 weapons. You also have a small chance to receive a rare bonus item from this year: the Shield of the Skeleton King!
During the opening of an event rune, you can get a rune from the previous year.
Then, you can go back in time getting an always older rune, in order to become the happy owner of an exclusive weapon from the previous Halloweens.
The weapons obtained in the event Runes don’t have the "Count Kheel" quality.
■ Modification of the Runes transmutations.
As you know it, every time a Rune is opened, you have a low chance to get a “Legendary Hat”!
The way you can get legendaries has been improved: every time a Rune is opened, your chance to get a Legendary increases slightly.
Once a legendary hat has been transmuted, its obtention rate goes back to its initial value.
That new system is retroactive! It means that the more Runes you open without getting legendaries, the more chances you have to get one during your next transmutation.
This new system also involves obtaining CK weapons: each time a Rune (containing CK) is transmuted and you get a hat or accessory, the probability of getting a CK at your next transmutation increases.
■ The opening of customized servers
Many have been demanding this functionality, customized servers will show up from the next update !
From the list of servers, you can click on "Create a server" in order to choose your maps, your modes and your server capacity.
After its approval, your server will be automatically hosted in the nearest area in order to optimize the latency period.
If the latency remains high even in a server you’ve been creating yourself, do not hesitate to let us know indicating your location, we will take your reporting into account during the diversification of our servers locations.
The same player won’t be able to open many servers simultaneously, you will have to wait for your server to be empty and to shut down before you open a new one.
New functionalities relating to the servers creations will be added in future updates. Do not hesitate to give us your feedbacks concerning this novelty :)
■ FanArt Contest.
Like every other year, a Halloween FanArt contest is organized to make you win exclusive event items in "Reward" quality.
In order to take part in that contest, all you need to do is post your creation on the community Hub, indicating “Halloween 2017”and your nickname in the game.
You can also write at support@ediogames.com, without forgetting to indicate your nickname in the game The Ultimatest Battle.
The theme of this year is : Halloween, and All Souls’ Day (Dia de los muertos)!
There is no format requirements : drawing / video / sculpture, as long as your work links up with UB and the theme of this year.
We accept all participations until November 2nd inclusive, and every single participation will be at least rewarded with a consolation prize : so get out your pens !

Two weeks after our arrival on Steam, we're back to tell you more about us and our prospects.

September, 12th 2017 will forever remain engraved in the UB’s history: a few minutes after our arrival on Steam, game servers were invaded by players from all over the world.
Very quickly there were more than 100 players connected simultaneously, and the servers have remained active since!
A lot assessed the game, so today our rating is between “rather positive” and “very positive”. Nothing could have made us happier, thank you everyone for this memorable reception!
For the whole week after the release, we even were among Steam DB’s “popular New Release”, which is a kind of consecration for us, as we are just tiny independent developers.
As you know, the UB adventure on Steam is only beginning, so don’t hesitate to spread the word and to ask more plyers to give their feedback.
After release modification:
A release on Steam without any difficulty wouldn’t have been a true Steam release.
We thus had to quickly update the game so a maximum of players could play correctly.
We apologize to the Chinese players who had difficulties to get connected the first days. There shouldn’t be any problems now, yet don’t hesitate to tell us if you have any difficulty.
At the moment our main priority is that everyone can play in the best conditions possible.
The last updating has slightly increased the weight of the game in order to reduce the downloading time on the different Maps.
Problems related to disconnection while downloading the Maps have been solved almost entirely, yet it may happen on rare occasions.
If you have any problem that crashes your game, don’t hesitate to send us a report:
In the game Options, click on “Data”, then on “Bug Report”. Describe in a few words your problem, then click on “Send”.
We work hard to get the game as smooth and pleasant as possible that is why we count on your feedback to keep improving with new updating.

We haven’t introduced ourselves properly, delighted to meet you :)
Ediogames is our creation studio composed of 7 members, among whom 3 work full time on the project. We have provided the UB prototype for free since summer 2013, when it was possible to play it.
And then we have kept on improving the game up to the version you know now.
Our idea is simple: offering a new way to play a platform game in a competitive way using skills players are already accustomed to.
A few years and more the 30,000 accounts later, we are on Steam with an English version enabling the whole world to fight for free in highly improbable epic battles.
As we are players ourselves, we make a point of offering a real Free-to-Play, and not a Pay-to-Win. All the gameplays are either given as a level reward, or quickly available through the loot, craft, etc.… Our shop consists essentially in cosmetic items, and no items can give more strength to some players and not to others.
You are already more than 25,000 to discover UB since its Steam release, we can’t thank you individually but we mean it \o/
There are many things left to do and we are planning several contents and many improvements for the future!

We cab already tell you there will be a FanArt competition with the theme: Halloween, Celebrating the Dead!
The instructions are simple: your creation has to be related to UB as well as with the theme.
Besides that you are completely free!
There’s no format: drawings, comics, videos, songs, sculptures. We accept any work provided they are inventive and keep to the theme.
To be part you just need to post your creation on the Steam Hub, and give its title (Halloween 2017) + your username on UB.
