REMIX Game Jam
We took this opportunity to launch our very first Game Jam to encourage users everywhere to try their hand at video game creation. For this Game Jam, we're asking you to remix the existing sample games in the software, while giving them your own spin. This means using some of the assets included in Pixel Game Maker MV to create something of your own. You can check the exact requirements and rules here, but please ask us anything not stated there in the comments below!
From all the submissions we receive (if they abide by the rules and terms linked above), the Pixel Game Maker MV team will be choosing their favorite and will be giving the community the chance to vote on their favorite as well. These two winners announced at the end of April, will have their project showcased at this year's BitSummit in Kyoto, Japan's biggest indie game show, which will take place the weekend of June 1st-2nd, 2019.

"RTB ~ Return To Base ~" is a shooting game made in Pixel Game Maker MV, and is planned to be released as a sample game in the future. The first stage of the game is a side-scrolling shooter, with the second stage changing the game into a vertical-scrolling shooter. Lastly, stage 3 again changes into a side-scrolling platforming shooter. The purpose will be to show how to use Pixel Game Maker MV to blend together different genres into a single project.

Early Access for Pixel Game Maker MV is just over the horizon. Today, we'd like to share with everyone a message from the producers detailing just how the game came to be!
However, when checking out trends among the various games sold on Steam, we saw that action games were really pulling in a lot of fans. We feel that this is thanks to the fact that, with Steam games available all over the world, language barrier doesn't tend to be an issue, and players from around the globe find it easy to enjoy action games.
This got us hoping that releasing Pixel Game Maker MV just might encourage players to create even more Maker series games, and so we jumped right into development.
Main Features While there certainly are a large number of settings and buttons, etc., we're doing our best to ensure that Pixel Game Maker MV is as easy to use as possible. The software allows for the import of new assets and materials, so importing the assets scheduled to be made available on the official website should help provide some great ideas for animation settings and more.

We have kept you waiting for a long time, but we are proud to announce that the latest entry in the Maker series, Pixel Game Maker MV, is scheduled to begin Early Access on Steam from July 24th, 2018.
In order to provide users with the best Pixel Game Maker MV possible, we plan to release it to Early Access from July 24th for the purpose of receiving valuable feedback and opinions from the community and implementing said feedback as we build the engine to completion.
