Did you know today is National Talk Like Shakespeare Day? Frankly, that just gave me high school lit flashbacks, so we'll be taking some inspiration from various Classics (yes, including games) but skipping the thee's and thou's. First, they're annoying to write when the spellchecker has never been faced with Early Modern English. Second, let's face it, no one needs high school flashbacks. Enjoy our usual campaign, 3 competitions and mission in the Classic old-style event where you're out for yourself. True to style, the mission has a little puzzle for you to solve (or get the answer from someone else) and one of the competitions is VERY challenging because this is Classic and we don't like to make things easy. After 15 years, I think we've established that.

MISSION
This year's mission is called Hangman
Yep, we're playing a game within a game. So, here's how it works, the first six objectives contain the clues for the 7th animal you need to get. Those of you planning to spend the time on the puzzle, good luck and don't worry, it's not that hard! Those of you planning to pick their brains once they've worked it out, fair enough. We all have our skill sets. Those of you planning to ask Support what the answer is, forget it. The puzzle is created in English, but you don't need to speak it beyond knowing a few animal names to solve the puzzle. If it works in any other language, that's coincidental and our apologies for those it doesn't work in.
What? You want another hint? All right. There are two clues in the objective with the animal that doesn't fit in with the rest.
The objectives can be done in any order.
The mission will last through the event duration from the 24th April to the 30th April
Completing it will earn the hunter the following rewards:

Qualifying in a competition awards 100 Classic$ for each comp. You don't need to place, just have an entry.

RULES
What would a game be without rules?
We have one simple rule for our events: No exploitation of existing game mechanics to gain an advantage. All winners' hunts will be checked by EW staff prior to prizes being rewarded, and the decision will be final.
In case of exploits usage, EW has a right to disqualify the player from this event.
SALES
And what would an Event be without sales? We're not sure, but we do know that we'd get nasty messages if we skipped them, so we've made sure to put sales in.
The Blocktails were feeling underappreciated, so how about a 3 tiered comp for the weekend? Normal blacktails won't count for this and Blocktails won't count for the League.

We're a day over IRL but in the EHR, we're still eating pancakes. There were just too many kinds to fit them all one day, so we're in it for the week. We're using the old-style event format for this with points and individual prizes - too much to hope the cheaters gave that up for Lent, but we can hope. You can gain Pancake$ by taking part in the event's mission and competitions, as well as harvesting Sheep, Goats and Ibex. You may also notice some new Pancake Collectibles scattered around the EHR! They look delicious.

Did you know you get savoury pancakes as well? In the spirit of the event, Monica and Hans are putting together loads! They'll need some ingredients since the savoury ones will be the main course. Unfortunately, someone stole all the sweet pancakes as well, so keep an eye out for those while you're hunting. Yeah, we're not off to a good start. Still, we have perfect faith in you, hunter!
