* Improved loot tables - The most noticeable difference is that if you find a weapon you will now also find compatible ammo for it in the same container (unless another player has looted it before you). We’ve also made some additional changes behind the scenes to get more control over the random distribution of items which we will use to make further tweaks to the looting experience throughout the week. These tweaks will be made server side without having to patch the client.
* The T-rex and Utahraptors now have a 90 degree turning animation when being aggressive. This should increase their lethality in situations where they have to rotate before attacking.
Bug fixes
* Fix for a common crash when using items
* Fix for a startup crash when the game tried to access the map
* Utahraptor group communication sounds are synced to all players. (so all players hear their sounds)

Improved server list
Item stacking and splitting (in equipment slots). We will improve this further but the current implementation should solve the problem where you had to mess with the inventory in the middle of combat. Stack by drag and dropping on top of equiped items and split by holding Shift while drag and dropping.
New item - Merc Binoculars can now be found at some of the ruin sites
Dinos now avoid larger dinos when not attacking or searching for players
Changes
Consumable item inventory capacity cost is now tied to use count. This means that, for instance, a stack of 5 arrows now take up half the space in the inventory compared to a stack of 10. In most cases this means that your current inventory now has more space as most stacks got lighter but there may be some cases where players may get inventories that exceed 100%. It’s nothing to worry about as you will still be able to use the inventory as normal with the exception that no additional items can be added until you have dropped enough of them to get below 100%.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick heads-up from us: the EW team is back from their winter break and the work on Primal continues! Right now we are working on the new dinosaur species (which one is secret, but feel free to speculate ;)) - the much requested stacking ammo function as well as bugfixing and server optimization.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when a player got attacked by a Dino.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when a player joined a game.
- Fixed a rare crash that could happen when a player exited the game while standing next to a chest

Christmas Holidays Break
Howdy Primal community! Tomorrow our team is leaving for Christmas vacations to spend quality time with their families which means there will be no updates for the next two and a half weeks. We'll try to keep an eye and fix all game-breaking things, like server downtimes.

Server downtime this night
We had a server downtime this night for about 8 hours, due to a yet unknown reason. The server is up and running again. We are very sorry for the trouble.

We continue working on improving things, and our main focus right now is looking into the game crashes.
Meanwhile, here comes an update with some fixes:
- Server list doesn't wait until it has fetched the whole list, it now shows a chunk of servers at a time.
- Loading icon added to the server list.
- GUI Rock icon updated
- GPS Button icons updated
- Vegetation terrain alignment tweaked
- Dino dropping textures lightened and specular reduced
- Triceratops textures lightened and specular reduced slightly
- Fixed utahraptor footstep sounds to not sound like gallops at times and silent at other times
- Player spawns with settlermate wielded
- Fixed issue with having the scoreboard [F3] visible in the start menu
- Holding [SPRINT] when on low (or empty) stamina doesn't stop player from regaining stamina

Game update 2014121507
During the release we have been monitoring server and client activity, as well as player bug reports. Not only have we watched, but also acted.
We have just uploaded an update including the following:
- Fixed several crashes
- Fixes and optimization on the game servers
- Vegetation is now visible in all graphics settings (medium graphics settings has a bug)
- You can now cancel out of the password dialog
We will continue to monitor the game, but please report and bugs and issues that you might experience. Our goal is to make sure that the game is as stable as possible, so that you can all enjoy the game even more.
