Them and Us Update Patch Notes
1. We fixed the Steam Deck on DirectX 11 to not crash anymore the game when entering the Dark World after the boss fight.
2. We updated the game to support name change for the steam workshop characters, by adding a INI file.
Since the .ini file cannot be included in the game due to future updates, overwriting it you will have to firstly manually download this file and place it in the game config folder.
You can download this file by fallowing these steps.
1. Subscribe to this item and follow the instructions mentioned there.

And place it inside Steam\steamapps\common\Them & Us\UDKGame\Config
To edit the name of the costume you can open this ini file with Notepad and follow the instructions from there. More information about this have been added in the Steam Workshop Documentation.

10% of times STEAM doesn't download the files correctly for Them and Us, therefore the game may crash in different areas for missing the files.

Hi guys,
Here are the latest changes that we made for Them and Us:
1. We added an option to allow players in Fixed Camera mode to Lock-on on the enemy when aim at them. This option can be enabled/disabled by holding [Controller] LT/L2 or [Keyboard] Default: Space Bar, when aiming at enemy.
This tutorial message here will appear in-game once per New Game.
2. We added on landing point a place where players can save their game, since autosave alone was not included for (Hard, Pro difficulties). Don't forget that THEM (the followers) are looking for Alicia.
3. We added the option for players and artists around the world to create their own character and add it into Them and Us. Expect more in the future if this captivates enough interest.
As Helen Adams Keller 100 years ago said: Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
4. We added to the workshop 2 sample characters that of course anyone can download and play right now.

We are happy to announce that:
1. First-Person View DLC is now included in the base game and available to everyone that has the game in their library. We hope you will like this change.
2. DX11 (BETA) version is now included and can be accessed on the launch of the game. Please know that we do not recommend you to use this DirectX if the game runs well for you. We hope this DX11 to fix some of our player's problems.
What is new in DX11?
- SSS Skin Shader for Alicia and all Enemies
DX11 known problems:
1. Tabbing out the game (Alt+Tab) will automatically go into Windowed mode if you are in Full Screen. Please press (Alt+Enter) or tab out 2 times to go into Full Screen or use the Options Menu to change back to Full Screen.
2. V-Sync doesn't respond. If you want to use this, please go to the NVidia panel to enable it manually.
3. Some of the areas may affect the frame rate much more than on DX9. Depending on the video card you are using.

Last and not least Them and Us is now published mainly in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong territories by Cube Game. To celebrate this we have worked on a new DLC for all people interested in some of our Asian clothing traditions. 2 Japanese (yukata costumes) and 2 Chinese (cheongsam costumes). This DLC is going to be FREE for everyone here on STEAM for a limited time.

It's been over 1 year from the full release of Them and Us. As a celebration of this milestone and to give thanks to our players, we have made and added a new costume for Alicia as well as a little surprise for our heroine. This will be available every Christmas from Dec 6 to January 6!

Steam Deck Compat Info
This is a short announcement to let all Steam Deck users that Them and Us is compatible with this handheld device.
The game hasn't been officially verified by STEAM, but we did a full game verification ourselves on all 3 camera modes to make sure that there aren't any problems.
- All functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration.
- This game shows Steam Deck controller icons
- In-game interface text is legible on Steam Deck
- This game's default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck
Running the game for the first time requires accepting the Epic Games EULA using the touchscreen.

We hope you had a great Halloween! Update 1.0.8 is now available.
1. You can now select Hard mode from the very beginning.
The special puzzles such as Ploutus Box are now available only on Professional mode.
2. We updated the start inventory to 4 available slots on Easy, Normal and Hard dificulties.
3. We fixed a small problem that we had in v1.0.7 update.

Hi guys,
In this update, we mostly look at how to fix all problems that appears to all Radeon video cards users as well as how to optimize some of the levels for Steam Deck.
1. We fixed 99% of the blinking lights that appears to all people that use Radeon video cards.
2. We optimized the following levels to run at a higher FPS on Steam Deck and PC:
Inside Mansion Backyard, Cemetery 1 (OTS) Cemetery 2 (FC), Garden B, and Village.
3. We made the tabbing out (Alt+Tab) faster and more responsive by pausing the game.

Hi guys,
We are happy to announce that update 1.0.7 is now available. In this version we made some changes that have been requested many times by the community.
1. You can now select your preferred camera mode before loading the cleared save date. This will allow you to continue New Game+ in the selected camera angle.
Note: Within a [Cleared] file selected press left or right to select new mode.

2. On Easy and Normal difficulties all items dropped now doesn't cost anymore spiritual essence . You can now drop them anywhere and pickup them at the Ploutus Box.
Hardcore players that play on Hard and Professional are not affected by this change.

3. The divine chalices now doesn't take anymore space from inventory. They are now viewed as special items just like flashlight is.
Note: When there are more than one item on that slot, a red arrow pointing UP will appear, press UP while in that slot to navigate through the items.
Note to players that played the game already:
If the divine chalices are not in your inventory, you need to get them once again for it to show up in the special slot. If the divine chalices are already in your inventory they will be showed now in the special slot.

4. Fixed an issue that prevents unlocking Sci-Fi Casual Costume when finishes traveler ending on hard or professional difficulties.
