This War of Mine: The Little Ones explores the hardships of wartime survival as seen from an entirely new perspective; that of a child. This expansion to This War of Mine puts you in charge of a group of adults and children stuck in a besieged city, struggling with lack of all necessities. TWoM: The Little Ones focuses not only on the reality of enduring war, but also the fact that even in times of conflict, kids are still kids - they laugh, cry, play with toys and see the world differently. In addition to thinking about survival, you'll have to bring back the kid in yourself to understand how to protect the little ones. Their faith, and their future, are in your hands.

Kickstarter has once again proven that it’s model of bringing tabletop games to life, breaths some freshness into the industry and sits very well with projects that aim to do things a bit differently than what we’re used to!
Thanks to the input provided by the community, the game almost doubled in terms of the offered content. The team behind the Kickstarter campaign listened to the what their fans were asking and created a system of special social medial voting, this way fans were able to directly express their needs and desires and practically shaped the game’s Core Box by adding the following expansions:
- Tactics expansion, with more advanced combat mechanics
- Sewers expansion, offering an entirely new way of exploration
- Orphans of War, introducing children to the game
- Farmers, focusing on the cultural differences in the game’s setting
Backers of this Kickstarter project also helped with the concept for a 13th character for the game – after sorting out hundreds of ideas, the community has chosen Emira – a homeless woman living on the streets even before the war pictured in the game happened.
